Dr. Scurria is part of a money driven program called MDVIP. How it works, I have to pay $ 1,500 yearly to be a member and be able to have her as a doctor. That is a different expense on top of my medical insurance premium, deductible and copays. Why would I want to do that??? So stupid. I picked her as my pcp and wasnt allowed to make an appt unless i sign up and pay towards this stupid membership. The way i see it, she will only deal with patients that are stacked with money. Says a lot about her as a doctor. How do these leachy programs exist? These doctors are pretty pathetic as well. So thanks to the Obamacare program, I had to get insurance and since prices are so ridiculously hign, I’m stuck with a policy where I would of had to pay nearly $ 500 monthly premium with ridiculous copays and deductibles. With the govt. assistance i only pay $ 300. Its still is too high and this dumb practice thinks the normal citizen is going to pay $ 1,500 to be part of some stupid VIP membership plus pay premium and copays. What is this, a country club? Makes no sense. I’m changing doctors for sure.
Oh, and when i first called, she answered the phone and said hello. No answering service, no greeting that i was calling a dr office. She just shortly told me to call after 8:30a.m. during regular hours. Apparently the VIP membership gives you direct contact to her but sounded so unprofessional and I was confused. Definitely not a Dr I would want to go to. I should of figured something was not right after that phone call.
