Royal Oaks Country Club

This review is based on a very limited time spent at the country club, but for the day I spent at a training there, it was fantastic! I drove up bright and early in the morning for my training and I was impressed with how beautiful the entrance was. I was even more impressed that you could live within he country club vicinity. I have lived in neighborhoods with country clubs, but they were their own free standing building. It was not a neighborhood as well. Once I got to where the training was at, I was happy to have the option to valet or self park. I of course self parked for free and was still very close to the building. Once I got inside, I was impressed with the decorations and the beautiful view we got to look out on. I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and lunch while I was there. Kirk was especially helpful with our conference in the fact that he was always there to clean up plates or give us whatever we needed!

This is the Texas Golf mecca.
I have found the best course in Texas. The personality of a Donald Trump affair, and a layout Freddie Couples brags about. Royal Oaks has the best layout, greens, and atmosphere out of all the courses I’ve been to. With maybe the exception to Champions.
Royal Oaks comprises of 18 holes of American Links adventure. The holes are typical American, with the forced carry over water, hazard. The par 3’s are scenic engulfed by an entourage of beautifully shaped white bunkers. Greens large and small, all tiered to test a modern golfers skills at green reading and distance control.
Then there is the Scotland like fairways, tons of undulations. Rough that could hide large African elephants, and wind that makes the tiny white ball larger as it’s pushed back to the starting point.
Tough course to get on, tougher course to score on.

I came here for a wedding awhile back — I don’t remember anything bad about it.
My other friend is having a wedding here in December — it must be a good place for a wedding?

My wedding is not too far down the road, but until then my experience with wedding venues will come from the other side of the lens. I recently helped photograph a wedding here and must say this venue was exquisite.
From the help the coordinators helped in previewing the place to the venue itself. It overlooks a gorgeous golf course, there are plentiful windows to allow much soft natural light in.
The food looked simply amazing. The rooms are very classy. I loved everything about it. Probably out of my own budget for a venue but definitely a place for others with a little bit more to check out.

I had my wedding reception at Royal Oaks Country Club and Liz, the events coordinator was very helpful in my planning. The food and service was exceptional. I love the ambiance of the place. It’s very nicely decorated and all you need is a touch of flowers.
