TERRIBLECUSTOMEREXPERIENCE! I stopped in to purchase a new piece for my home office. I saw a piece that I liked and when it came time to pay, I was told they would not run my credit card: American Express. In the past, I have never had a furniture store tell me that they did not accept a major credit card from a customer. I like using my AMEX card for the points and the security. I decided to take my business elsewhere and I suppose that the owner is okay with that.

Agree the furniture is lovely, good quality, and expensive. We have purchase living room set and went back to buy a round dining table few years later. Few days after the purchase, we called for information to install a glass on top of the table top and received the most horrible customer service. The person explained they do not provide any services once the furniture leaves the store and refused to provide information on the glass company they use. Worst of all, he made fun of the request and says information is top FBI secret. Place is for you if you are looking for expensive asian furniture of good quality and willing to put up with terrible customer service. Also, place only accepts cash and check.

When it came time to pay for my purchase, this place refused to run my American Express card, I had used it here in the past. The associate that helped me said that I can go home and return with a check. How antiquated is that? Because of the inconvenience, I will no longer shop here, there are plenty nicer furniture stores in better areas of town that operate in the 21st century! Coincidentally, the owner has asked me to remove this post(even though he still will not accept AMEX for payment). Also coincidentally, he has created a fake Unilocal page to post a positive review of this antiquated business. Bad business practices speak for themselves and eventually catch up to you in the form of lost sales!

The furniture is lovely, but the old Asian who greeted me when I walked in is a completely troll. I’m a women in my early 30s, and when I walked in, he nodded at me and left me alone to browse for a few minutes. When I found a piece I was interested in, I waved him over and asked him the price. He replied, and I am totally not kidding, «Oh… uhm… where is your husband? You bring him back and we negotiate.» I checked my phone calendar, and yep … it was the year 2012(not 1912!), and was honestly too stunned and surprised to reply with much of anything. So I gave him the serious evil eye and just walked out in silence. So, ladies without husbands, you may want to avoid this sexist vendor, or make sure to find some random dude to drag along with you. Because Mr. Rosewood Furniture guy doesn’t think you are worthy of his best deals, or even of being considered as an adult person with whom he could lower himself to converse with, much less make a sale. And hey, sexist Asian guy, newsflash dude: You’d make a crapton more money if you were less concerned about the marital status and chaperones of the women who dare enter your establishment, and just make with the damn prices.
