I took my boyfriend in to try a new hairstyle we found on Pinterest because it had good reviews. We showed the lady this picture and got this. When we asked her to make it look more like the picture she did nothing.

What a fun find and a great cut that has garnished more compliments than more expensive recently. So… Was chowing down on some tacos(that’s what I do) next door at Mas Taco yesterday morning and was in my car ready to do a search for a hair salon. I typed«H A I» and then all of the sudden a car pulled in next to me and two ladies got out and ran up and unlocked some business. Then I saw it. «MENCUT $ 7»(sic). Well hell yeah, that’s what I AMLOOKINGFOR! Without having to leave the parking lot, walked in and they turned on the A/C, another man walked in right behind me and one of the ladies announced«I am ready for a customer». So I sat down, she asked what type cut and then lead me back to the front to pick my style from photos. Picked what I wanted, and she nailed it! Now I look like a slightly younger Tom Cruise, just not quite as much of an ass. The cut took about 40 minutes and I was very pleased with it. I have received more compliments today than on any other style while spending upwards of $ 30. For $ 7. I tipped 50%+. Asian haircuts typically are more relaxed and precision as as dealing with thick straight hair requires a layering method. I believe my longest haircut ever was at about 90 minutes in Tokyo but that included a neck massage. But they don’t do only Asian hair, as the guy that walked in behind me was Russian and the next guy was Mexican. Why do I mention that? BARBERSHOPTALK! And this was so fun and funny! So, the first 30 minutes my designer was working on my hair I just kept thinking it would be nice if there were music and talk. I guess the Russian bro and I caught them in so many seconds to open that they forgot to turn on the music. Finally they did and it was a beautiful very relaxing Asian melody. And then the other stylist started to sing along with a very beautiful voice. Totally awesome actually. I found the right place in person without using any Internet or reviews. Oh and as far as barbershop talk, the second lady finished with the Russian guy quicker and they mentioned that she has been cutting his hair for years. The next elderly Mexican man sat down and I heard her tell him plain and loud«Now look, I have been cutting your hair for 4 years and have always told you that if you want it that short it’s going to stand up and you will look like a silly little boy as always! Why don’t you wait and have HER cut your hair!» pointing to the lady cutting my hair. His answer was«No you do it and the same!» I asked how long this place had been open and the answer was«Many Years!» Love it! If my next haircut is in Houston, I’m going back here. Huge amounts of easy parking, good food(Mas Taco and Sammy Burger) and right off the freeway.
