I called ahead looking for children’s size ballet shoes. Lonnie confirmed having them and when I arrived to purchase them Lonnie was excellent at fitting my 4yr old daughter for her shoes. His customer service was phenomenal. Definitely recommend this place for dance related items and accessories! We will be returning customers

«Great selection of dance wear and shoes!» Would I recommend? Yes. I come back to this place time and time again. As far as I know, it’s the only dance store in the Houston area that carries adult leotards and ballet shoes! Plus, they have a huge selection of ballroom dance wear and shoes. For such a tiny store, it really does carry«the largest collection of ballroom, tap, jazz, ballet dance wear, and shoes in the galaxy»(or at least in the Houston area!)

I’ve been going to R&L’s for years. If they ever close there’s going to be a problem for this guy here in Austin(where you’d think with our exploding population there’d be increasing demand for guys’ dance shoes. Eh. No.). Thus I make the trek to Houston, specifically to Robert & Lonnie’s dance(shoe) supermarket. Everyone there is always super helpful, and my feet being jacked up like the rest of me, these days, good thing, too. You want ballroom shoes? Latin shoes? Practice shoes? Ballet shoes? They got ‘em. They also have a wide variety of ladies’ clothing for dancing(and a couple things for guys, but if you think finding dance –shoes– for guys is rare, try tracking down some of that specialized stuff down here in Tejas). My kudos to R&L for years of fine shoe-providing service.

Worth the hourlong drive from Conroe! Just joined The Woodlands Dance Club and Woodlands Arthur Murray and needed a few types of ballroom dance shoes. Visited another dance store in The Woodlands, but the selection and service were terrible. Drove over an hour to Dance Galaxy and found everything I needed. They truly have the best dance shoe selection, and owners are friendly and helpful!

The only reason i’m giving this place 3 stars is because its totally not what I expected. I came into this store looking for adult ballet dancewear and was able to find what I was looking for but there wasn’t a huge selection of dance leotards. They did have a large selection of tights, which was nice. This store is aimed very much more towards ballroom dancing rather than your traditional ballet/tap/jazz. But on a very much plus side, the owner was absolutely helpful and very friendly. I overheard him size some other customers in ballroom dancing shoes(men and women) and he seemed VERY knowledgeable and willing to offer adivice.

Lonnie is great! Helped fit my shoes perfectly. He is very friendly and even knows exactly what different dance studio instructors prefer when it comes to fit. I bought some salsa shoes that were on sale and they were cheaper than anything I could have bought online. Come in here to get fitted, since you don’t know how they’ll fit if you buy them online. :)

I found this place from this Unilocal page-review actually and i think its only fair if i write this review, cause it really helped me to find this place. I came there last week and looking for jazz-shoes for the little one. The place is quite easy to find and I love the way the owner(?) serve all his costumers. When we came there were 2 other customers and he was alone but he still great and serve everyone patiently. Though it means he has to juggle between looking for shoes, pick up the phone and handling payment. Bottom line: I would not hesitate to recommend this place for everyone looking for shoes or dance outfit.

This place is a little hard to find, and has a pretty bland exterior… besides the air dancer, but I really love their service! I walked in and my mom and I went to the ballroom shoes section. Robert was such a help as I explained to him that I was just beginning to learn ballroom and I wasn’t sure what kind of shoe I should get. My mom picked out a few designs and we finally picked one that Robert suggested because it had arch support. I saw their«So You Think You Can Dance» poster on the wall and chatted with Lonnie about favorites for the season. :] They were so friendly and helpful! If you can find the place, I suggest going here!

This place used to be called Robert and Lonnie’s, and I remember going to look at their shoes when they were just a table set outside the studio! They rebranded to target the dance audience, but Robert and Lonnie are still as helpful as ever. Great selection of ballroom heels, ballet shoes and dance sneakers. They have some t-straps that work for the traditional tangueros. They carry different brands like Capezio, Bloch, etc. They also carry their own brand now, which is usually cheaper than the other brands. I wore a pair of Lonnie’s brand shoes for a long time until the bf put the shoes on the roof of his car and forgot about them as he drove onto 59. :P Needless to say, I got a new pair of shoes out of that incident. They give discounts for buying multiple pairs of shoes. Like jaire q. mentioned, often have sales going on, so you should check with them! I’ve never bought dancewear form them, but they have a lot of cute stuff. More ballroom-y or ballet-y than I need for my purposes, but good selection. Lots of fancy accessories, too. Great full-length mirrors for the vain or the self-conscious who need to check themselves out before buying anything. ;)

I have been shopping for dance shoes and other dance gear at this store for about 5 years, yes, ever since I moved to Houston. They used to be called Lonnie and Ronnie’s(I think). I love their shoes and accessories, and lets not forget how helpful the owners are. I actually made it there about 15 minutes before they opened on Saturday, thankfully Lonnie showed up and let me shop before he opened the store! How great was that?! I got a great deal for two pairs of Jazz shoes and also some hair accessories, lets not forget a cute heart t-shirt I absolutely love! All for only $ 70 after a 20% discount(they have great deals going on). I love shopping there and will continue to do so as long as I keep dancing my booty off!
