I have been residing here the last 2 yrs. Love the area and have no complaints except one! Cons: Our 1 bdrm apt is not energy sufficient. During the winter/summer our bill is $ 180. We get great rates. However during the summer it gets sooo hot! I feel as if the AC is broken, but in truth its the poorly insulated walls. Its kept at 65 and I’m still sweating. I get cold easily, so we use the heater during the winter often. Summertime is worse! Pros: Great location, convenient access to beltway, westpark &59. Quiet area. I never hear neighbors or dogs. Everyone minds their own business. Not«ghetto» like on Walnut Bend(1 block down).

I really never thought I’d write such a negative review of this place but it’s happening. I DID enjoy my stay(11⁄13 to 7⁄14) here with their good size garages, well laid out apartments, always green grass, and always manicured landscape. Cendy in the front office was always very nice and great to deal with. The mangers were easy-going and even helpful when one of my packages was lost, even though the USPS showed it as delivered and signed for by one of them. The maintenance staff was also very quick to respond to work orders and extremely polite. I didn’t really have anything negative to say until I moved out. I know people always say a company nickle’d and dime’d them on frivolous charges but mine is a little more insulting. I was, kid you not, accused of stealing a home intrusion alarm system. Apparently, that actually happens. One more time, accused of stealing a home intrusion alarm system. I was charged $ 265, deducted from my deposit, to replace it. All they tell you is, «Yes, it was there.» The catch here is that there was NEVER one installed during the entire time I lived here. I never even saw a place for one to be installed(no hole in the wall with wires or such hanging out). It never bothered me because I felt safe here and never used them at my old apartments(that actually had them installed). So, I never said anything. The biggest problem I’m facing, though, is that there is NOWAY to dispute this. I never wrote on the inventory form that it’s missing because I also didn’t write on the form that the second bedroom door was missing… possibly because it was only a one bedroom apartment. You never think to bring up what’s not there when you aren’t even sure if it’s supposed to be there or not. Such as the fan in the closet… Even their website says some amenities are only available in select units. The apartments were in the process of being renovated, maybe this was one of the steps for the next renovation. I didn’t know and I didn’t care… until now. I’ve written plenty of reviews on Unilocal because I, myself, actually use them to make decisions. Sadly this is one of the negative ones. Advice… take time stamped pictures when you move in… have the manager walk through with you… and have her/him sign that NOTHING is missing. Maybe it’ll save you $ 265 and being insulted by a stealing accusation…
