Rice Epicurean Markets

Rice Epicurean is a market that carries more upscale, specialty food items, and unique gift items, special lotions, candles and the like. It is located in an upscale Memorial neighborhood. Unfortunately, the experience is not upscale. Case in point: I stopped at the bakery and asked if they had fruitcase. Response, «We just made it last night. It’s not out yet.» Period. Not, «It’s freshly baked last night. How many can I get you»? The cashiers never say «please», «thank you for coming,» or any form of politeness. In other words, it’s a low-​class experience at a store that is trying to appeal to upscale clientele. No wonder most of them are going out of business!

What do you do if you need wonderful steak for a dinner party? The answer is to head over to Rice Epicurean.
I needed about five streaks for my dinner party, but I did not want to spend a arm an a leg for good meat (I cannot eat cheap meat). I asked my brother where I should go. He said, «If you don’t go to Rice you are a ‘stupid shit’». Ok Ok, I will go to Rice…
I get there and head to the back to pick out my meat. Now my brother made sure that I did not go to the butcher but the meat ready to go section. He then told me to get the whole beef tenderloin (which sliced it turns into filet mignons!).
With the Rice Epicurean Card I bought 7 pounds, thats right pounds, of delicious steak for 42.00. This is my new shop for yummy steaks.
