Great service here from the owner. Said he owns five other locations in a few different towns and has since the 80’s. Very knowledgable and gave us a good discount on the boots to make the sale. The other workers there were very courteous also… Will be back for sure.

Extremely rude attendant walked out just because of her, 16 years in the oil field bought countless boots but won’t be buying from here

RUDE… RUDE…RUDE!
Needed a pair of steel toed boots to start a job tomorrow. Old man didn’t want to listen to what I needed. He constantly interrupted me when I was talking.
Told me that I didn’t need steel toed boots… that any work boot would work.
Excuse me but you aren’t my boss that told me to only get steel.
Tried to tell him about the boots I have at home so he could pull the correct size from the back. Told me that wasn’t my size.
Gave me two boots to try on that were not a correct fit. I have an extremely high arch and instep and he could have fitted me if he had listened I me. He does not know what he is doing. Listen to your customers old man… you just lost a sale and future business from me.

Only one person working in the entire store, poor service, and overpriced.

Great customer service and well stocked. I bought a pair of slip on waterproof steel toe boots and 2 packs of work socks. As my previous review stated on the Red Wing Store on FM 1960 a couple of months ago, they didn’t have the boots in stock and they had to be special ordered. Guess what? This store off the Katy Fwy had my boots in stock as well as an informative owner.

Great work shows unmatched by any other. The local owner takes pride in his business and service.
A recent move due to the demolition of his previous location proved his commitment to his customers. He was more worried about them then his business.
Always willing to help and advise on the right footwear. For work boots they take a beating and are very comfortable

The location of this Red WIng Shoe Store is located in a shopping area, across the freeway from Memorial City Mall. Lots of stores and restaurants surrounding it.
If you are looking for the Heritage line, which are like the shoes they made 100 years ago. I have never seen one in real life, only online. From my understanding, stores like Neiman Marcus are the ones carrying this line.
So I go into the Red Wing Shoe Store and they do not carry the line. A gentleman named Jim, knew exactly what I was looking for when I showed it to him on my phone. He showed me a catalog and they could order it. I didn’t have to pay upfront. I could wait and try it on when it comes in and see if I wanted them. He did quote me a price, and he gave me a discount. This was awesome.
The shoes came in, and it didn’t fit me. So I had another size ordered and it fit. I bought them.
If you ever go here, I suggest that you deal with Jim. There was another associate that wasn’t very helpful. Almost felt like anything I said didn’t matter.
Jim was the one that showed me the catalog. The other associate didn’t suggest it to me. I would have went elsewhere, but Jim knew what I was looking for.
Overall, it was a good experience because of Jim. I got a discount, the shoes came in quick, and I got good customer service with some exceptions.
