Red Dagger Tattoo Studio

This is a fantastic tattoo shop. I live about an hour away from the shop itself, but it was worth the drive. I heard about this place through some friends of mine so I decided to get some work done here.
The place is super clean and honestly it’s just the right size for a tattoo shop. It isn’t too crowded. I’ll admit I got a little lost at first when I was looking for the shop because it’s mixed in with other small businesses. But I’m telling you, it’s worth the drive (if you live far) and wait (because I know they book really fast with their artists). I was lucky enough to make an appointment with one of the artists who had some time available.
My artist, Ringo, was very accommodating and gave me exactly what I wanted. I definitely would love to return and get tattooed by the other artists because I know their style varies and each and every one of them are extremely talented. I HIGHLY recommend this shop if you want to get some work done.

I got tattooed by Steven Compton about 2 years ago. My tattoo is still beautiful, and one of my most favorite ones. Very professional, cool dude. All of the artists there are amazingly talented. Would recommend to anyone. I also didn’t have to wait too long for my appointment, I set something up within a month of talking to him about what I wanted.

I would recommend red dagger to anyone. Some of the best work in houston. You have to make an appointment, but I know every time I come out with something new I’ll be 100% satisfied with what I got. Can’t wait to go back to get more.

Stopped in on a Monday and left my name and number with the front desk girl because the all the artists where booked out for a month or 2 and after looking at the various awards on the wall and the artists portfolios I could see why. The quality of tattoos these guys are putting out is amazing! Aaron Springs had a cancelation and I got the call from the front desk girl who offered me the opportunity for a walk in. I showed up, and Aaron went straight to work drawing up a set of birds for me to cover up a tattoo that I had gotten a few years ago. Aaron did an amazing job and the tattoos turned out Awesome! So awesome in fact that I am going to have to get a few of my other tattoos tuned up haha hopefully by Aaron next time I’m in town. I’m 100% satisfied with the quality and customer service and hopefully I’ll be back to the Red Dagger soon!

After reading two of the reviews here I’m glad I never gotten as far as setting a deposit for a scheduled appointment. Since this tattoo studio is far from me I decided to email Aaron Springs with my idea for a tattoo per his websites instructions. He turned down the idea which I thought was a little strange. Judging by the other reviews had I gone in he probably would have scheduled an accepted the deposit only to cancel/​reschedule and drawn up something I wouldn’t be happy with getting tattooed on me. It’s sad because the quality of artwork posted is rather amazing. If you aren’t getting what you want tattooed on you then it isn’t worth it no matter the cost. At least that is my opinion.

I wouldn’t write a review about the entire shop just based on one artist. There are some negative comments about Aaron Springs that I’m seeing (dealing with the deposit and not the actual work) but I know for a fact ALL the other artists at Red Dagger are nothing short of AMAZING. I know first hand that Shawn Will and Abel Sanchez are absolutely incredible artists. If you are looking for a high quality piece of art this is definitely the spot for you to go. The detail and coloring is seriously out of this world. They took my ideas and made them PERFECT (and I’m extremely picky). I get compliments every single day on my ink. So many people ask about where I got them. The shop is immaculate, they have all the best tools, and the décor is awesome. I recommend this place 100%. These guys deserve all the credit in the world. They love and excel at what they do. I refuse to go anywhere else!!!

They are soooo unprofessional !!! I had an appointment set for sep 20^th! And I even deposited 50 $ for the appointment alone! The artist named Aaron never even gave me his number in case I needed to call him, if someone already deposited 50 $ shouldn’t he atleast give me his number to contact him in case of emergency?! No! I even tried calling up the parlor 5+ times to let them know that my phone was stolen! What’s the point of having your number posted online if you can’t even reach the parlor?! Ugh I’m so done with this place. I suggest going to another place to get your tattoos, it may be good, but 50 $ just to make an appointment and not being able to reach the artist is RIDICULOUS!!! Wtf! I just want my money back!!!

Red Dagger is the most professional place I have been, to have work done. All of the artists are very friendly and helpful. The location is in a very nice area and the studio itself is incredibly clean! ***It may not be the place to go if you want a mass produced and generic «flash art» tattoo, that you choose off of the wall, like a TYPICAL tattoo shop.*** Red Dagger is a CLASSY PLACE that delivers personalized art to each customer. The artists work hard to perfect the imagery the customer has in mind, and do so with their own flare. The appointment wait or deposit may seem odd to most, but in reality BOTH SHOWCASE HOW SOUGHT AFTER THESE ARTISTS ARE. If you are looking for a ONE-​OF-​A-​KIND-​MASTERPIECE ~that won’t be replicated on the next walk-​in-​customer~ ***RED DAGGER IS WHERE YOU NEED TO GO*** I have gotten 3 tattoos from Aaron Springs and I have NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED! He works with your idea to help create a beautiful work of art. He is patient and honest. Aaron Springs takes his time with his clients and is OCD about cleanliness; which is a commendable trait! Another review on here, places Aaron Springs in a negative light, and sounds ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LIKE MY DEALINGS WITH HIM. It is quite disheartening to read such an ill-​written review about an amazing and talented artist.

I kinda laughed when I saw one of the bottom reviews and one that is hidden. Everyone I met or saw was extremely friendly. In the real world when not getting a flash tattoo you wait and you pay more. Period. I am so pleased that a dude from Nutrition Depot sent me to Red Dagger. Shop is clean and very spacious. Cool and collective taxidermy, which I collect myself. Met several of the other artist and saw their work first hand. Amazing. I recommend this shop and everyone in it. Great group of dude’s that worked their butts off to get where they are today. Thank you Abel Sanchez for my beautiful piece. I couldn’t be happier. Thanks for working with me and talking to me for a solid 6 hours about whatever! Solid dude.

Got tattooed here by the fantastic Andrés Acosta over the weekend and it was a great experience! He was extremely personable and was a joy to get tattooed by. The shop is reasonably sized and is extremely clean and well taken care of. It is also in a safe neighborhood which makes visiting worry free! I could not be happier with the tattoo I received or the experience over all. Great shop guys!
