I have used Doctor Yarish in 2010 for a rhinoplasty and reconstraction after a very bad accident that broke my nose in 2009. Since I was already going under the knife, also asked Doctor Yarish if he could work on the dimple on my chin, which had been bothering me for years. He said it was not a problem, but was charged the extra money for the procedure. After my surgery, I noticed that there was a lot of scar tissue buildup on the tip of my nose(which was rock solid!) and on my chin, which is protruding quite considerably, to the same protuberance of the tip of my nose, and looks like a golf ball. I visited Doctor Yarish several times post-op to discuss the disfiguration and he suggested injecting me with some product designed to melt down the scar tissue. After a few visits to the surgery and with absolute no change to my problem… if anything, my chin now looks like a dimpled/wrinkled golf ball, and the scar under my nose is still very prominent and visible to the naked eye, I was told by Doctor Yarish that nothing more could be done to help me, unless I paid for more surgery! Moreover, because of the amount of scar tissue under my nose, where the incision was made, I now also have a very unsightly, deep smile line, making me look like a marionette. Doctor Yarish practically washed his hands of me and since then I have become recluse and depressed. My face is not my face anymore and I’m embarrassed to be in public. I feel that the public should be made aware that Doctor Yarish is not always at his best, and does do botched jobs occasionally too.

I was referred to Dr. Yarish by a good friend. Dr. Yarish and his entire team took their time with me, made me feel comfortable, and gave me details on my surgical procedure, expected outcome, recovery, and pricing. I will definitely be referring my friends.

Dr. Yarish is an outstanding plastic surgeon with the a great bedside manner and a team that cares. I waited 6 years from an initial consultation with him before I decided to have a tummy tuck. I knew from the first meeting that if I ever decided to go through with the surgery, he would be the one to do it. I cannot say enough about the excellence if his office and medical staff. When you go into the office, you are treated warmly and gently. They give you a nice robe to wear(not some cheasie hospital gown). They serve you drinks. They have magazines and literature to read in all waiting situations. If you are hungry, they’re going to give you a bar of some sort. I never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen, so they seem to have the scheduling process down pat. Dr. Yarish himself is respectful, soft-spoken, wise, and caring. He maintains a sense of humility even though he has done more abdominoplasty surgeries than anyone in the state of Texas. Various staff members explained every step of the process personally, and also provided the documented instructions for pre-op and post op care, along with garments, bandages, tape, soap, and a very short list of items that I needed to get from the pharmacy to be ready for my surgery. They also provide you with an intense vitamin regimen to prepare your body for surgery, prevent inflammation, and promote healing after surgery. As reluctant as I was to undergo this major surgery, I have to say, it accomplished more than I had hoped. I feel beautiful, I look amazing, and I received some added health benefits that I don’t think even the medical staff anticipated. I am in the fitness and wellness industry, so I was already strong and healthy. But Dr. Yarish repaired my abdominal wall, had been split widely from pregnancies. No amount of my own abdominal work could heal this divide. This is a fairly common issue with women, and he does this routinely as part of abdominoplasty. As a result of this repair, I have incredible core stability, and other body parts are now falling into line. For example, my posture is better, and internally, my pelvic organs(bladder, uterus, etc) got a lift that makes me feel decades younger. If you undergo this procedure, be forewarned that you will need to block out about one week of bedrest, and a second week of mild activity alternated by rest. There are drains with tubes coming out of your body that are a total pain, but are absolutely necessary. These can be in for 2 weeks. Also, I experienced a great shift of my internal organs. They have to move in order to fit into the tighter space. So there is an adjustment period in which the stomach, intestines, uterus, and bladder, all move, and in my experience, this burns a little bit inside. But two weeks post-op I can say that I am adjusting very well and I see daily progress. Dr. Yarish can do any kind of plastic surgery. He is top in his field and he gets great people to work with him. Whatever else I may have done, he’s my doctor.
