Quest IRA, Inc

I will never recommend Quest IRA to anyone. We have a self-​directed IRA with Quest and over the couple of years the account’s been open, they’ve billed us for over $ 1k in fees, with no explanation as to what the fees are for, and they do not provide statements unless we beg for them. So we don’t even know they’ve charged us a fee until they call asking for payment, but then the caller can’t tell us why the fee was charged in the first place.
Now that the investment property has been sold we plan to move the funds to an IRA at another financial institution.

I currently have an account with a competitor, but I’ve been referring investors to Quest IRA and have had nothing but great results. They were able to get two accounts opened in a short time frame allowing two associates to invest in a multifamily deal we were doing. I have been to several of their free training classes and meetups. So far, I’m very impressed and just wish I had learned of them before opening the account with a competitor. Now it will cost be over $ 1.5k in termination fees and reclassification of my assets imposed by the other company just to leave them!
Don’t make the mistake I did, open your self-​directed IRA with Quest to begin with!

I previously had my account with Quest but I did not think that they handled my financial transactions correctly. I had a wire sent it but they did not credit it to my account in a timely manner instead choosing to reject my bill pays even when they had the wire for 3 to 4 days while not notifying me they had a problem. They never sent me statements and when I requested a quarterly statement they didn’t know what a quarterly statement was. I would request bills to be paid but if the checks were not cashed they did not return the cash to my account until I asked. I would never use this company again because their accounting practices were not to an industry norm. When selling a house even though they knew there was a deadline they told me they didn’t know if they could review the paperwork in time until I went over their head.

Great company with many options to invest your money in. Very friendly and helpful staff — quick and responsive. They offer many classes online and on site that helps to expand your knowledge in various financial fields.
