Quality Suites North

My friends and I chose this hotel because we were looking for the cheapest hotel room with a jacuzzi in it. Mind you, my friends and I are all between the ages of 18 and 23 so we are used to getting horrible service due to our age.
However, that was NOT the case at this hotel. We arrived late, but the staff was cheerful, informative, and more importantly, FRIENDLY. They easily made the accommodations for us and called a taxi for a us. It was surprisingly simple to get them to help us with anything.
We actually had an emergency and had to stay an extra night (with probably FAR too many people needing to cram into one room) and yet they handled it with no questions asked. The staff was ready to accommodate young, unconventional travelers in any way possible. I only wish I knew that girl’s name that ran the front lobby. She gave us breakfast after breakfast hours because she could tell we were having a horrible ordeal.
This hotel staff is what made this hotel 100x better than most hotels. If I ever go back to Houston, it would be worth my while to return to this hotel. You get more than what you pay for with these folks.

We choose this location due to a funeral. The nicer one is at Louetta and I45 but ~ $ 30 more. I had been warned about crime in the area which there is a few blocks away but this location was very well lit. There is a Wells Fargo Bank in front and a drive thru in the back and lots of cameras. The immediate area looked safe. The hotel has been remodeled. We needed a hotel that had 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa. The sofa was stained. The desk chair was broken. The bathroom faucet needed to be replaced due to low flow. A nice touch was the newer soft mattresses and the ceiling fan in the room and the shower worked good too. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was decent that included eggs, ham, sausage, biscuits, gravy, rolls, toast, cereal (fruit loops and shredded wheat) and the Belgian type waffles. Overall we had a good experience but there could be some improvement.
The pool was nice but too cold on this date for us to swim. When i looked at it, I couldn’t help but notice the 10+ beer cans left out from overnight. That should be one of the first things they pick up when the staff comes in the morning. As with any hotel, always park under bright light. Secure your vehicle and no valuables left in there.

Great room, bedding and bathroom very clean. Staff friendly. Free breakfast included my favorite Texas waffle and a good spread of pastries, cereal, eggs, bacon. Check out is at noon so I did not feel rushed in the morning. Would stay here again when visiting Houston.
