No complaints. Good beer and chill vibe. Great location and the juke box is a nice touch. They did run out of the beer I asked for but that wasn’t a big deal. I went on a Saturday around 6:30 and it wasn’t too crowded. I would definitely come back but they could improve on the décor some. I haven’t tried the Patio it was cold the night I went.

Cool little spot at the edge of a mini mall,(Barnabys is on the other end). Full bar but they don’t serve food, except on Wednesday for steak night. Take out from Barnabys is also an option. Pet friendly patio. It is proximate to a music venue, so like other area venues, you can get a bunch of patrons with poor hygiene if a punk or stoner band is playing.

Love this bar! Good, clean bar where you can chill, listen to good music(well… The bartenders have great taste in music… Not always true for patrons…) and just hang out. The people are cool and the bar tenders are top notch. The bathroom is always immaculate and it’s cold in there! That’s a big plus. I’m writing this for the steak night. If you’ve never had the steak on steak night you should be ashamed of yourself. It’s f*ckin awesome and the mashed potatoes are on POINT. Its cash only and worth every penny. Wednesday nights.

Best steak night I’ve ever tried !! For 32 I got a huge rib eye and also a plate of half rack of lam perfectly cook with jalapeño mashed potatoes and a delicious spicy sauce. Not too busy for a steak night. Good parking, just in front. Good service. Really cheap. Nice atmosphere. The only BUT will be TAKECASH with you because the food is only with cash. But it worth it totally.

I joke and said I was writing a bad review but I honestly didn’t intend to. I’ve only been here twice. It has a more low key vibe than other bars on white oak but parking is hard still. Plan to über. Bar tenders are kind and beers are limited. Great for after work and cat hinging a drink with and old friend or even alone. Eric and Scott are both dolls :) ps ladies room is VERY clean because that’s important.

As soon as I came in I was greeted by the bartender. Walked in, felt welcomed, the bartender started to talk to me about the establishment and how they are known for their«foody» Wednesday’s(menu pic). They are also great friends with Barnaby’s Café, which is located right next door. A customer is allowed to call Barnaby’s for a meal while having a frosty beer at this location and will deliver it to you. Starting to like this place and their mom&pop ways with a hipster fusion of dopeness. They also have an outside patio, which is great for summer nights while sipping their berry sangra for $ 6. Within the inside they have a nice seating area to the left when you walk in and a fuss-ball table to the right as well as a touch tune music player for all your desirable music needs. Walking in further they have booths, high chairs hugging the bar and dart boards along the back. All in all, this is a very chill place and I can’t wait to take a gander at this amazing steak they have available on Wednesday.

Came here to get a drink. It’s nicely decorated. Not a big patio. It wasn’t very busy. But bartenders were nice.

I came here for their Wednesday steak night and this place was packed! Unlike most places that have steak nights, Public House is a bit different since they offer you a few selections. You can get pork chop, a half rack of lamb, or steak. And with your meal, you can choose a side of jalapeño mashed potatoes or some pasta. I, of course, opted for the steak. 12 oz of yummy rib eye fresh from the grill with a side of pasta. Yep, I chose pasta because this was my 2nd day of steak night in a row and I was getting tired of eating potatoes. As I mentioned, the place was packed when me and some friends got here. The outdoor seating area was full and there were no seats inside, However, we got lucky since some people left the bar and we were able to sit at the bar. The wait for the steak took a little bit due to the number of orders ahead of us, but it wasn’t too bad. We just chatted the night away while drinking our beer as we waited. The bartender was pretty cool — nice enough. Our waitress wasn’t too shabby at all, but she didn’t seem to care about waiting; more like just trying to get her job done and that’s that if you know what I mean. Can’t complaint though, I think she was the only there so she was swamped. After about 20 minutes of waiting, our steaks finally came out. Almost all the steaks were grilled just right. Out of four steaks, one was a little over done. My friend wanted medium, he got medium well. Good thing his wife didn’t mind swapping his steak with hers. No harm done. I thought the steak was good and juicy. I didn’t have to cut away too much fat from the meat, so that’s always awesome. The pasta was just meh, nothing special. My friends said that the jalapeño mashed potatoes might need a little bit more jalapeño because they couldn’t really taste it. Drink prices weren’t too bad either. Pretty much on par with other bars that are on White Oak(Onion Creek, Christian’ Tailgate). They had a few beers on tap but not a whole lot of selections. But good enough, I guess. My rating is really for 3.5 but I’ll round up. WILLBEBACK!

**Steak night** A) parking is a bizznatch as to be expected for the location. Look at all the signs even when you don’t think the signs apply to you. Tow trucks be thirsty. Also don’t park too far out into the street. I saw some cars drive by too close for comfort. There’s a gated lot for businesses in the area, but that obviously fills quick. It’s across the street between Christian’s and PHH. B) seat yourself. You can eat anywhere in the bar but the food operates separately from the bar. So two different checks and the food only takes cash. The lady taking food orders will come by and take your order and check up on you. C) there’s options for ribeye, lamb chop and ribs(I think those are the choices) with either jalapeño mashed potatoes or potato salad. Prices range from $ 16-$ 32 depending on what you get and how much of it you get. I’d say the service was pretty good. The bar itself wasn’t overly busy. They seem to have great rapport with regulars. The place itself looks well kept. The bar seats are loud and heavy. Steak had good flavor and char on it. Jalapeño mashed potatoes was pretty good! Not very spicy. They cook down raw jalapeños without any seeds so more of a bell pepper kind of taste. Two draft beers — $ 12; Two steak dinners — $ 32.

My husband and I came here to grab a few drinks before dinner. Awesome decision! We were greeted at the door by regulars who were outside smoking. That made me instantly feel like this is a neighborhood bar where people come to drink and socialize. I like that in a bar! We walk up to the bar to order our drinks and the bartender was friendly and professional. We take our beers and sit down in the«booth area» and begin having a conversation. I thought it was a great concept to have artists’ works hanging around the bar to showcase to the patrons. There’s some really neat artwork in this bar! Everyone in the bar was very chill. It was quiet(to an extent) and relaxing. We will definitely be back!

Been a few times… small place but plenty to do. Outside seating with corn hole sets and inside they have darts and a golf video game. Plenty of local beers and a full bar. No food but you can bring food in.

Love it! Comfortable, huge bar, great bartenders(all of them, Paige, Donnia(sp), Scott, some other people I can’t remember their names). The owners are here often and are awesome people! Good specials, always a great atmosphere! Good music selection. Art for sale, revolving collections. Clean clean clean bathrooms. They are committed to a clean place… Believe me, one night a pub crawler puked spaghetti in the sink, the staff cleaned it immediately! Props to them!!! Ask Scott to make you something special!

On a Wednesday… Ample seating at the bar Quick and friendly bartenders More than reasonable drink prices(around 16 bucks for 2 beers and a glass of Malbec) Good music(because I chose it… thanks Touch Tunes) …and a nice, juicy, flavorful slab of beef with a side of jalapeño mashed potatoes that is worth coming back for on its own. Yummy.

I was not sure what to expect here. Sometimes places look divey on the outside, but are nice on the inside. Public House was the opposite. Upon entering you realize you are really in a neighborhood dive bar disguised as a new hip bar. I went here for the steak night, but although the bar took credit cards you had to pay the steak guy in cash. What year is it? I was told there is an ATM across the street but I decided to go elsewhere for food. The beer selection was pretty good, and that’s what got the review up to two stars. The Moscow Mule was not good, and it tasted like they skipped right past the lime and went extra heavy on the ginger beer. I would not recommend it.

I finally found my first pick for Steak Night. I may have to start requesting Wednesdays off at work. Compared to other steak nights I’ve tried, it’s just THAT good. Initially there was a mix up of who ordered how their steaks were cooked but we had it straightened out pretty quick. These are just your typical rib eye’s but there’s something about them. the marinade? the clean grill marks? the pairing with amazing jalapeño mashed potatoes? Maybe it’s a combination of it all. Whatev. Brian«THE steak guy» is legit. The bar is plain with wooden furniture and plenty of seating. They have local brews, a nice selection of wines, fun cocktails and weekday specials written in chalk behind the bar. On our way out, we played one game of Jenga just for the heck of it. There’s parking next door and parking across the street in a well lit area. I’d come back for a low key night, especially if this Brian guy is working the grill.
