This place is the type of mechanic shop that everyone warns you to stay away from: the kind that takes a working car & breaks it to the point that you would rather buy a new car than fix all the problems your once-perfect car has suddenly«developed». I took my car to this scammer to get the shocks and struts changed. He quoted me a great price and offered to have it ready by the time I came home from work the same day! Great, right? Except when I came to get the car, it drove TERRIBLY. It sounded ten times worse than it did when I dropped it off! It was unusable, and I have a daily commute that I needed my car desperately for! Ever-so-fortunately, the big boss Tony somehow knew what my new problem was: I needed a new wheel bearing! Strange that no other mechanic that looked at my car had pointed out this issue. When I said as much, he started accusing me of trying to cheat him by not paying him for the work he did and that *I* was the liar in the situation! I told him I wouldn’t be paying a dime until the car was in operating condition. He «generously» agreed to tackle this new issue for a mere $ 150 extra. When I came back to pick up the car the next day, GUESSWHAT? The car still sounded awful! And yet again, good olé Tony somehow knew exactly what was wrong! The CV joint was now broken and the car was leaking fluid everywhere! Odd that my car has never leaked anything before I visited this«mechanic»! Now wise to this jerk’s tactics, I took my car elsewhere for an ACTUAL professional’s opinion. I had to pay the charlatan to take my car, of course… and lo and behold, the check was cashed mere hours after I wrote it. Looks like good olé Tony is wise to the fact that customers can stop checks from being cashed — probably because of disgruntled victims in the past. As for the professional’s opinion? He told me that this shop created ALL of the problems that I faced: when they took stuff out to replace the shocks and struts, they didn’t bother to actually screw any of the parts back in when they finished the work. Hence, vital parts of my car were hanging free, ready to fly off the moment I took it on the road. He also told me that it was apparent that the CV joint had been damaged deliberately in order to force fluid to leak out. Bottom line: if you want your car to be reduced to useless scrap metal, bring it here.
