i was going thru houston airport the other day and was hungry. i went up and ordered a classic – and could not believe what i got. it was nothing near like a classic uno’s pizza that i used to get not only in chicago, but at some of their other restaurants. i was even at one in las cruces, nm and ordered a pizza and it was just like being in chicago – except no old style to wash it down. was a happy camper there, but not at houston airport. i will continue to go to uno’s, but definitely not at the airport like i did if i can figure out how to post a picture of what i received, i will.

It’s airport pizza. I think best case scenario I could MAYBE give it 3 stars but it just isn’t that great. It’s comparably priced to other airport expensive food. My personal size pizza was $ 10 and a fountain drink would have been $ 3 more. I got a pepperoni because the supreme looked a little rough. I don’t like airport food in general, and this didn’t change my thinking.

At 11am on Wednesday, I placed an order for spaghetti. After the cashier charged my credit card, she found out there was no more spaghetti. Luckily a couple of managers in suits walked in at the right time, but between the two of them, it took 10 minutes to swipe an override. It then took another ten minutes for the manager to issue a refund. Finally when I asked if I could just just get cash back, the manager handed me a receipt and abruptly said, «It’s done. Here’s your receipt.» If the refund had been issued, why did the manager make me wait five minutes longer? I was in a hurry, being at the airport, so I left to go to another place to eat. I looked later at the receipt, and the refund is ambiguous. It says 0 dollars on the receipt, but later the receipt shows a charge was made. It looks like I’ll need to call American Express to figure out if I was charged or not — what a hassle!
