Pizza Hut

This is a Pizza Hut «Express» location just south of the Texas Medical Center. It’s reasonably located if you’re in the area and turns out food pretty quickly. There are always some odd characters who hang out just outside the Pizza Hut and adjacent Burger King, or by the bus stops, which adds a creep factor when you try to pick something up around here.
I usually order online and pick up in store. Unlike most Pizza Hut locations, this one actually had my order ready on time and without any issues. Pizza was hot and tasted great. I can’t really complain.

Pizza’s OK. So slow service. Inadequate service. Only order Delivery if u don’t mind waiting 1 hr+ and then some.

You can only give a place so many chances. The pizza is always cold. When you call to complain they hang up on you or transfer you to 10 different people. The management is super rude. They need corporate to come in and make some serious changes to this location. Unless you like pizza super cold I would order from anywhere besides here.

I waited 2 hours for my pizza, it should’ve been delivered within 30 min. I only gave this 2 stars because the pizza was ok and the delivery guy was nice. Also, this location was only 7 minutes from my house so…

I have had so many issues with this store in the past and today finally pushed me over the edge to write a review about them.
I placed an order for delivery today and they quoted me on a 30 min estimated delivery time. After about 5 different phone conversations, too many minutes placed on hold, and what seemed like a lot of confused employees answering the phone we finally received the order 2 HOURS after the et. Once we received our order they had forgotten to deliver the ranches (which you do have to pay extra for and are highly overpriced). When I notified the driver that they were not in the order, he acted like he didnt know what I was talking about and he literally got back in his car and left. He then proceeded to ignore my phone calls. All I wanted was for him to tell me he would come back with the ranches, but no response. I called the phone number for pizza hut because apparently they do not provide direct store phone numbers and complained and the woman was actually pleasant on the phone, but was in a hurry to get me off the phone before I could let her know all of my concerns.
Also, since the order took so long, the pasta is already cold and a little dried up. Still waiting on the ranches…

There is no room in this restaurant. The people who work here are super friendly and the food come out fast. What more can a person ask for when they are starving? There are signs all over the place that you need a permit to park in this parking lot. The employees here told me that it was ok to park here. No worries. If I’m in the area, I will be back for my small personal pan pizza. They do charge $ 1.72 for pepper and cheese though.

Why does a fast food place have less than 4 stars. We know what to expect, taste and price wise it’s standard from a franchise. I ordered online service was fast and ready when I got there. The cashier even showed me my pizza before I took it and was so happy and cheerful. Tons of parking! In med center so close to Tmc transit center. Will be back here again for sure
The new crusts are so cool I got the pretzel it’s yummy with balsamic drizzle! Fancy

Why are they always late? I live like 3 minutes away. This Pizza Hut does not belong in the medical district. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because my puppy likes the delivery guy!:)

Miserable location.
Takes forever and your food is room temp when you finally get it.
Employees are unconcerned and unapologetic.
Better to deal with another pizza place that wants my business.

Wow this is definitely the most ‘eclectic’ pizza hut I’ve been to. Crazy loud employees who complain out loud about people on the phones, not very clean looking prep area, kind of a dirty grungy old feeling all around. It sounds like the staff is having more fun messing around in the prep area then working and of course my order was finished late.

2 hour wait just for wings? Are you kidding me? HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! Do not order anything here! This place needs to be shut down immediately

I ordered the new BBQ Pizza online with no red onions. They put onions on it & had to wait. I also signed up online with my email & was supposed to receive free cheese sticks. I got home & found that I got breadsticks. NOT very well organized I would say. Not impressed.

It’s a Pizza Hut. Nothing more. Nothing less. Good solid chain fast food.

There are signs which state that your car will be towed if parked without a permit. I have never seen a pizza hut parking permit in my life. I’m not sure if placing a pizza hut box under your windshield counts. Plus they charge for crushed red pepper and parmasean cheese. Pretty pathetic. Save your self the trouble and find a different location

Trying to order for family member in the hospital after cancer surgery. Pizza hut routes your call to a call center who knows nothing about M D Anderson and doesn’t know how to get food to you for delivery. I asked simple questions about delivery options and was hung up on once the operator couldn’t answer them. Horrible service, couldn’t even place an order. So I called back and the guy acted like he couldn’t hear me but we know he could as he stopped talking when we loudly tried to get his attention. He just hung up after that.
They will not transfer you to the local pizza hut. If you are in one of the hospitals do not bother even trying to order unless you have exact address to whatever building you happen to be in.
Stuck in a cancer center hospital but Pizza Hut is too stupid to set it up right for us to order. Here we come vending machine.

I think they have snails with no brains working as delivery guys! It takes FOREVER to get a pizza from here, and calling to get an update is a joke. Hopefully the pizza is worth this wait. Guess ill let you know when it gets here next year sometime!

Pizza was HORRIBLE :(

The food is only okay. Typical chain pizza. This place gets an extra star for employee attitude. I picked up a pizza on a Thursday night and the girl at the register looked me up and said my 4 anchovy pizzas were ready and cost $ 85. The look on my face must have been priceless because she started laughing hysterically. I like going to businesses where the employees are in a good mood.

Needless to say, the last time I went to this location, I was NOT impressed in the least. We ordered a pizza through the Pizza Hut Central Call Center and I went to go and pick up the pizza. The person who greeted me at this location didn’t show me the pizza which I thought was strange but I didn’t really care. By the time I got back home, I came to find out why she didn’t show me the pizza. (see my uploaded photo). The pizza was burnt and I wasn’t so much shocked by the fact that they accidentally burnt the pizza but, by the fact that she chose to serve me the pizza. I called the store back and they agreed to refund the pizza price and I haven’t been back since.

I keep seeing reviews about how terrible the delivery service from this location is. Here’s a thought: if the reviews say crappy delivery service, then don’t get it delivered. Simple as that. Get off your lazy ass and drive the 2 miles and pick up the damned thing yourself.
It’s not a hard concept.
That having been said, I placed an order for pickup and out was ready in 20 minutes at 7 pm on a Friday.

Never been a Pizza Hut fan, although I can never say no to pizza.
We come here for the p’zones, their version of the calzone, only $ 5 a piece if you carryout. Not the best out there, but it’s hard to beat something for $ 5 anymore.
This location has been very consistent. It’s always done right and ready when they say it will be. But if you are doing carryout, parking is a headache. Which parking in this area is never good. I think my people take advantage of the free parking lot. There is no way that many people are at the Burger King, because they are not at Pizza Hut. I’m sure it gets bleed over from the hotel too. The lot is also wonky, I’ve been there several times and still haven’t figured it out if it’s actually painted that way or if people just park where ever the hell they want.
If the food was just a little bit better they could have another star, but it’s just a-​ok.
