This is our favorite pizza place. The pizza is made fresh and FAST in their awesome oven. The crust is not too thick, and we love the cesar salad! We also love the fact that we can bring our own wine and enjoy it with all the different pizza flavors we order. This is a great, quaint place to eat without hassle, especially on a Friday night.,

As good as everyone says it is. This is the real Deal and tasted like pizza I’ve had in Naples. Unique and authentic!

Went for the second time the other day and definitely enjoyed the pizza! However, the staff was definitely off putting. The woman behind the counter seemed like she hated her job and was very unhelpful when I had three friends with me(who were new customers) and were asking questions about the menu. They really enjoyed their food but we’re disappointed by how the staff treated them. The Calabrese pizza is phenomenal and definitely reminds me of authentic Italian pizza that I had when I lived in Italy, so I will probably come again, but I wish the service was better. The Nutella dessert pizza is also fantastic!

This was my second time going here. I had the Margherita pizza with buffalo mozzarella. They said they made their own mozzarella but I didn’t try it. I found it to be missing something. The cheese was good not great. The dough was also good not great. I would say it took care of the craving I have for Neapolitan pizza but left a little to be desired.

Came here at 8:30 and the sign says they are open till 9:00. And customers were still being served inside and the doors were locked. So we called and asked if they were open and the lady politely said yes we are open till 9:00. So we asked why the doors are locked and the sign was off, and she didn’t know what to say cuz she was looking right at us. So we really didn’t want to eat there anymore. That is also bad to have the doors locked with customers still Inside. It’s a fire hazard.

Absolutely, hands-down, the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Fake pizza & highway robbery comes to mind when my Wife and I tried this place — on my Birthday. The«large“Calabrese pizza was $ 16 with two soft drinks was way overpriced, totaling $ 22.19. Within 2 minutes the paper thin Pizza was«ready, our first hint of «uh oh, this is not right.» The first thing I noticed was that mounds of thick, chunky meat, cheese, and zesty tomato paste — were missing. This is a high-priced fast food rip off. Their small domed brick-looking oven apparently was a aesthetic gimmick. I counted 7 employees standing around with nothing to do on a Saturday night, and should’ve been their busiest night at 5:30. The few customers was a sign that business was obviously down. This $ 16 «pizza» was PAPER thin with crispy edges, barely covered with tomato sauce with paper thin tiny pepperonis. A few tiny blotches of cheese here and there were on it. We will never be back. You couldn’t pay me to go back there again to be insulted — I know real pizza, and it’s called Panjo’s in Corpus Christi.

Napoli style pizza cooked in a 1300 degree wood-fired oven. This is the best pizza in Houston! Don’t forget to order a Nutella pizza for dessert! BYOB!

i came here for lunch after an event and our group picked to come here. I was going to order a custom pizza but they didn’t have all of my desired ingredients so I ordered a Margherita pizza instead. I t came out in about 10 minutes. I thought it was good and gave it a 3.5. I also was able to sample a couple of slices of the potato and mushroom whic I liked too(3.5). It had truffle oil on it which for me was good for the first two slices but I didn’t want more as the truffle oil was a little too much for me after the second slice. I like this restaurant and is popular with the Neopolitan style pizza that some people really like. I am giving an overall score of a 3 because I can’t quite go a 4 here but I would come back. It’s BYOB and I believe there is a $ 3 corkage fee.

I’ve driven by their other location for awhile since it was on the way to where I got my lash extensions and watched patiently as they opened. Went and got hooked. The next day I needed more pizza and thankfully this location is a wee bit closer to my house. It’s a little bit smaller than their midtown location, but the menu and the pricing are all the same. Like every other person here, I don’t mind paying for high quality ingredients on my pizza, and I can definitely taste it on my pizzas here. I usually get a margarita pizza with crimini mushrooms and goat cheese. Delizioso! This location is also BYOB which is pretty cool, but they do charge a corking fee.

BYOB Authentic Italian Pizza in MEMORIAL?!? Sign me up! The pizza is delicious,(Campania w Pepperoni subbed for Ham) and very authentic. Almost fork worthy, but the relatively thin crust holds it together just long enough for you to devour. We also had the Caesar Salad which had a strong anchovie flavor in the dressing, which I like. No complaints on the food. Get ready for your food to come out almost IMMEDIATELY. They cook their pizzas in a 900 degree oven, for 90 seconds. Very cool to see happen, and if you’re hungry, you are headed to the right place. 2 Complaints however, and why you aren’t getting 5 Stars from me: The $ 3 corkage fee on wine, that you then have to uncork YOURSELF(?!?) is ridiculous. If I’m paying YOU to open a bottle of wine, at least open the damned bottle of wine… The early hours, are processed meat, bologna, if you will. 9PM Sunday-Friday? I get that you are in Memorial, where quite a few older people live, that have«early bedtimes», but not all of us do. If you’re worried about how much it costs to stay open late, maybe not have 14 employees to close a relatively small restaurant? I have worked in a couple restaurant’s in my day, so the whole putting up chairs on tables while you still have patrons, doesn’t bother me, but it would probably have lost you a couple of customers if we DID care. Also, as an ex-restaurant worker, the idea of getting out early sounds great, but I’ve also stayed until 2am to close a pizza place, so I know you could do it if you wanted to. TLDR: Good pizza, Good Caesar dresssing, bring $ 3 to open your own wine, literally, you will have to open it yourself, weird right(?), go early, they start shutting down around 845pm Sun-Fri.

Pizaro’s is yet another quintessential example of who strange a city Houston is for this east coaster. In a normal city, where would you put the artisanal pizzeria with an authentic neapolitan oven, neapolitan credentials and great ingredients? Obviously, either the trendy core or, perhaps, the industrial gentrification zone. Well, in Houston the obvious answer is, «in an extremely drab strip center in the suburbs near some kind of antique store selling doilies.» It’s totally mystifying to me. But Pizaro’s is super-good. Pizzas roll out in 90 seconds from the blazing fire. The sauce is lightly applied; the cheese is marvelous; the crust has the precisely right chew. And, unless you splurge for specials like jamon iberico(yes, really) everything is extremely affordable. I wonder if the new Montrose location(finally, in the trendy core) is more expensive.

Eating my own words. I like their pizzas and I’m even willing to pay for it — so why am I downgrading? The service has been lacking. The pizza has been getting skimpier. The sudden corkage fee of $ 3 at the original location — and then, as I found out, $ 7 at the W. Gray location? One of the biggest reasons I’ve been recommending this place left and right to friends is because of the BYOB aspect. The pizza is still delicious. But it no longer has a pizza my heart the way it did before :(

Came with a co-worker for Lunch and was really impressed! The lunch special was a 8′ 1 topping pizza with a salad for $ 9. Great deal. Great neopolitan pizza. Great salad. I got the caesar salad and it came with homemade sauce. The sauce was creamy and had a little bit of spiciness. I loved it! When the pizza came out, we were initially taken aback by how small it looked, but after eating half, you definitely start getting really really full. The portions were just right! The pizza was amazinggg! The mozzarella was delicious. I got it with italian sausage. I loved the tomato sauce. The pizza was baked in a brick oven and the crust was toasty but not burnt and really thin. Would definitely come here again for lunch and would have to try their specialty pizzas if their simple ones are this good.

Eighteen dollars for a twelve-inch Cornicione Rocotta Spinach pizza? Sixteen dollars for a twelve-inch Calabrese pizza? You must be kidding. Sadly, it is no joke. We went there last night because it had been recommended as a place to get authentic Italian pizza. No wonder Italy’s economy is in the dumps; nobody can afford to buy anything because they spent so much on pizza. With three small cokes and a small salad, our bill came to a buck-and-a-half shy of $ 50. The pizza was okay; at least the Cornicione one was. Okay = «less than good.» The crust was the best part, but it was so thin that I walked away from the restaurant famished. The sauce was nothing special. They were very skimpy with the cheese and the toppings. I couldn’t eat the Calabrese pizza; I didn’t like the flavor of it at all, but my companions thought it was okay. The guy at the counter thought he was pretty funny; making wisecracks in an attempt to get the tip jar filled. It was too warm inside to eat, so we sat at one of the three outdoor tables where were treated to the sweet sounds of a screaming child, the pitter patter of other children racing up and down the sidewalk, and the extremely loud conversation of six drunk middle-aged adults who had just eaten at the Mexican restaurant a couple of doors down and decided to take forever to say goodbye to each other. Suburbia at its finest. If I want authentic Italian pizza again, I’ll stay away from this place the next 20 times I get the urge for one and use the savings to pay for a trip to Italy.

This was the worst pizza I’ve ever had. If this is authentic Neapolitan pizza they can keep it. Seriously, Dominoes is better than this and Dominoes sucks. My pizza consisted of scant tomato sauce, very small dabs of cheese and a very light sprinkling of basil. I folded it over and finished the slice in 2 bites. DONOTGOHEREYOUAREWASTINGYOURTIMEANDMONEY

Pizaro’s Pizza is hidden in the plaza on the Northwest corner of Memorial and Kirkwood. I should probably preface this review by saying I don’t like tomato sauce, so in essence, I don’t like pizza. The only reason I was here was for my boyfriend, who says his love for pizza stems from growing up and watching The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles always eat really cheesy pizza. How could I deny him this chance to relive his extremely cute childhood idolization? Upon walking in, the first thing I noticed was their huge brick oven in the back. I’m no pizza expert, but I’d like to think that’s a sign of good pizza. And I was definitely not disappointed. I opted for the Arugula, under their«Specialty Pizzas». Olive oil, garlic, arugula and shaved parmesan! Added Prosciutto for a little extra and BAM, I could already hear the choir balancing the chord, «Ahhhhhhhh!» My mouth was definitely in heaven! I loved the thin thin crust that was oh, so crunchy. The cheese was soft and gooey, and the arugula refreshing. Definitely one of the better pizzas I’ve had. Unfortunately, I had to nick a star off because of the price. I really really enjoyed the pizza, but looking at the receipt kind of hurt my soul. My boyfriend got the Margherita + my Arugula = roughly 40 $. For the size of the pizza, I didn’t feel I was getting my money’s worth. I chalked it up to the fresh ingredients and location(Memorial is more expensive than Chinatown). Would be cooler if the pizza was bigger or the price smaller, though. All in all, glad we tried it out, but will probably turn to cheaper places from now on.

Best pizza I’ve had in a while. Came here with the fam for lunch. Beautiful day outside so the owner quickly set us up outside. We hung out for a few hours… sippin our wine(byob) and chompin on fantastic pizza! We started w 3 pizzas for 6 of us and had to order 2 more bc we couldn’t get enough! The crust is perfect… the sauce is perfect. Friendly service. Can’t ask for more. They are supposed to be opening one in montrose and I can’t wait for them to be closer!

Atmosphere — hidden in one of the many strip malls off Memorial. Practical, clean, open and roomy. Modern brick oven and well ventilated. Food– grabbed the lunch special $ 8.95 included 8″ cheese pizza plus one topping + salad(ceasar or house). Pizza was fresh, crust was thin and very pleasing. Salads was okay. I opted for the ceasar. I asked my standards question does it or dressing have anchovies. Reply back… yes, minced. Forgot to add I am an anti anchovy person. Well I should have opted for the house salad. Dressing was highly flavored with a fishy taste. Not for me. Nevertheless it was a decent lunch. Back to the pizza. Enjoyed it, right size for lunch. Worth a return trip!

Blah Blah«not enough sauce» Blah Blah«the crust is thin» Blah Blah«there’s not enough» For anyone giving this place less than 4 stars can exit stage left. Theres probably a Pizza Hut/Little Caesars for your ridiculous tastebuds. This place has some of the best pizza I have ever had in Houston. I even dare say the best. Eating pizza growing up I couldn’t stand the crust, to me it just got in the way of everything else. The crust should just be the delivery service for what matters most, the sauce, cheese, and toppings. All the ingredients are sophisticated and wonderful. I cannot praise this place enough. I always recommend this place to someone that wants a pizza experience they have never had, and are near the energy corridor. They even have their own brick oven built into the wall. Oh its too pricey for pizza? oh im sorry, the ingredients are of good quality. Sorry it doesn’t have a dog food grade type of meat. This place has fast service too. The pizzas are made to order. Because of the brick oven, and the wonderful thin crust, the pizza cooks in no time at all. This pizza place is everything. P. S. I ate a few slices and I was full. For those saying there isn’t enough, most people have one stomach.
