this is a mediocre golf course. management is awful, course maintenance is awful. good thing is cheap balls at driving range. if you are a beginner go here to learn the basics. do not expect anything regarding nice. you are not allowed to walk the course. sand bunkers unplayable. in Houston you either are a member in a country club to play good golf or you suffer lousy public /semi private courses.

I use to play this course about once a month a few years back. I went out this past Sunday to play it and man has it gone down hill. My prior play was on well kept fairways and greens first cut was truly a first cut and not weeds as it is today. When you roll off the green you are going to roll in a bunch of weeds. I remember when the greens were well kept and fast, not now they are slow and not kept at all, dead spots all over the place. Clearly it is under new management and clearly they have cut cost. It was $ 38 to ride. I would pay more if the course was in better shape. Lastly pace of play, Sunday morning it was what you would expect on a beautiful Sunday morning, slow.

Great course for the value. A few minor setbacks. No city chicken. Multiple city golf cart. Hot dog taste Rike soggy slim jim. Besides the fact that it’s in a citypaohtown I would recommend.

Last minute decision to play 18 on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30. For the price, I thought it couldn’t be that bad, but the course was rock hard. Anything you hit, rolled for days and you couldn’t even get a tee in the ground on the tee boxes. The greens rolled true but pace of play was very slow so I probably wouldn’t play here often.

First time in this course, got a $ 28 promotion w/cart included. The club house is old and very limited but the course it self was in very good shape and not very crowded, the only bad thing was the heat at the time I started(1:00pm) I would definitely come back later in the afternoon or very early in the morning.

If it weren’t for the people who play here it’d have a higher rating. Pros: the course is in pretty decent shape for the price. Good variety, nice fairways, not a lot of dead grass. It’s definitely better than your average muni. I played for $ 18 on a Friday through a golfnow deal. It was my 4th or 5th time playing. Very good for your average bogie golfer to just have a good round without too much heartache. Greens are well-maintained and the staff is friendly. Cons: the members here are fat entitled old jerks who don’t know golf etiquette. I play quite a bit of golf by myself. When a single golfer comes up behind a slow-moving foursome, it’s expected that the single golfer will be allowed to play through. Multiple times playing here, I have been in such a situation and been stuck playing 6 or 7 holes before getting a nod. Worse, three times, I’ve been instructed by these old guys«just skip these two holes and go ahead of us.» When I decline to waste my money by not playing all 18 they then get indignant that I’m always behind them! To be clear, I’m not being inconsiderate either. I wait well back and give groups their space, but do make it clear that I’m playing faster than them by waiting… They just don’t get the hint. Once I asked permission to play through(after 5 holes of waiting on them) and they told me no. That time I did just skip the hole and there weren’t any groups ahead of them either. There was no reason not to let me play through! All in all, this could be a nice little course for the price if the players there would simply learn some manners!

I played golf there yesterday morning. It was my first time to play this course. I wasn’t expecting very much from the Unilocal reviews but my experience seemed to be better. The day before it had rained a lot so, there still was standing water but it was all on some of the concrete cart paths and areas off of the fairways. I found the course to be in decent shape. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were all good. The sand traps left a lot to be desired and even if it hadn’t rained heavily the day before something tells me that they are usually in a state of needing improvement. I understand this as this is not a high quality course but instead a public course that charged me a $ 29 weekday green fee. My cart worked well. They also, have a driving range with low, bucket prices. There is also a café next to the pro shop with indoor changing rooms. I would return.

Decent course for cheap green fees if bought online. Sand traps are horrible. Layout provides a small challenge for better than average player. Good challenge for less than average. Not too crowded so pace of play isn’t slow. Cocktails relatively inexpensive, beer no so much. No food worth eating and no beverage cart on course. If you can get green fee for $ 30 or less, give it a go. If not, don’t bother.

Participated in a tournament this past sunday and I’ve got to say the place was in pretty good condition for being public. The greens couldve been better, and tee boxes cleaned up some, but regardless, had a good time! And honestly, the carts save a lot of time, unless you want to spend and extra 2 hours walking around trying to find balls!

No walkers allowed! Professional golfers must walk and most scratch to +5 handicap golfers enjoy walking, but they won’t be doing it at this place because only horribly slow, out of shape people are allowed here. I refused to support a course that doesn’t allow walking… Totally insane

Pine is a cheaper lesser wood, not like Oak or Maple, and by having«Pine» as part of the course name, it pretty much doomed it a less than stellar establishment. Not long, can be challenging if the greens ever gets a faster shave. Yellow: 6907 Blue: 6570 White: 6181 Red: 5482 The course is just a bit hodg podge mix of odd holes which varies in condition through out the year. I’ve seen it when the greens roll nice and when it’s just dead. The sand and water conditions fluctuates more than this economy, and mostly trending down. This course is mostly visited and owned by Koreans, and while they take their golf seriously, etiquette is somewhat a lacking quality. The range here is pretty much scarce patches of sand with a bit of grass for color. Forget even footing or spotting your divots, on the other hand this is good to practice fairway bunker shots. So depending on the condition of the course at the time of your visit it could be enjoyable. One thing is for sure, you aint getting no wood from looking at anything on this course. Especially after some old koreans smacking a ball in to you with out any warning.

Somewhat comical. It’s a golf course with a Korean karaōke bar on a street otherwise full of Mexican convenience stores. A triumph of Houston’s no-zoning laws. I just used the driving range and practice putting area and didn’t play the full course. Both were adequate and they had lots of water coolers around, which was nice. Because it had been so dry when I played, the water traps were mostly empty except for some thick sludge at the bottom. The smell occasionally wafted over the driving range.
