Want to know where you can find the latest My Tam CD or Harry Potter in Vietnamese? Look no further than Hong Kong City Mall’s Phuong My. It’s practically a Vietnamese Barnes and Nobles, with an endless supply of books, music, and movies all for the Vietnamese enthusiast.
One thing Barnes and Noble doesn’t have that this place does, is an extensive selection of audio equipment. Stereos, speakers, multi-​channel receivers, and lots of cables can be had here and they’re able to help setup and deliver as well. Price wise, it didn’t seem too bad.
Overall this place boasts a great selection of all things Vietnamese. I was able to find some classic hits along with some of the newest stuff from the OC and Vietnam. There are also plenty of movies here, though a majority of them were Chinese movies dubbed in Vietnamese. The staff seems pretty good about helping folks find what they want, but speaking Vietnamese is practically essential here.
Who needs YesAsia when there are stores like this? Only in Houston I suppose. Phuong My is easily one of the best specialty stores to get quality Vietnamese media at reasonable prices.
