First time here, greeted with a complimentary spring roll, taste good, fresh. Ordered the mix bowl B1, not impressed, but then I don’t think bowls are that flavorful a little bland needs hot sauce along with the fish sauce. I did ask for a sample cup of Phở, nice flavor. [Excellent service]I could make a meal out of the spring rolls and soup. I originally went there for a Viet-sandwich but sadly they don’t have it on their menu.

Just okay. Hubby and I go bc it’s almost right across the street from us. So, if you’re on Memorial in Energy Corridor it could hold your phở craving over until you get to Bellaire or mom’s house :) The broth tastes authentic enough, however, it does not taste fresh. The phở always comes out just a little under piping hot — piping hot is what it should be and stay — but it quickly becomes lukewarm within the first few min it gets to the table. Disappointing if you’re a normal– to slow-speed eater. Also pretty expensive for mediocre broth and meat — the bo vien(meatballs) do not taste very good, in my opinion. The other meats are decent. All in all, minus one star for overpriced food and another star for quality, but service is good and has always been consistent.

Went here for the first time this week. I wasn’t impressed. It’s a bit overpriced for Viet food, but probably because of the area it’s in. Spring rolls come out as appetizers I assume because I didn’t order one. I wasn’t a fan of theirs. They use sliced pork that looks like lunch meat along with shrimp and place a leaf of green leaf lettuce at in between the rice paper. A bit odd because I’ve never had it that way. I ordered the grilled chicken vermicelli bowl. The chicken was very good but they put way too many bean sprouts and hardly and lettuce. They didn’t dress it as well as some of the other Viet places I’m accustomed to. It lacked the crushed peanuts, cucumber slices and cilantro. I wouldn’t go back to this place.

Good food for a great price! Nothing particularly out of this world, but I’d definintely be back if I was in the area or on the hunt for some comforting phở. Ambiance was nice, clean, fast and inexpensive.

So I’m tired of the moderate phở places in West Houston and don’t want to go to Bellaire to a restaurant that smells like dog! So thankful I just found this place! The broth in the phở was amazing. The dumplings were delicious. The service was even better! Offering us options and customers favorite. They had to of known we were new to the restaurant. I can’t wait to take my friends here and enjoy some more phở and try some other things on the menu. The manager was so awesome he gave us a free lemongrass lemonade on the house. Can’t wait to try the seafood phở!

Best little phở place right next to my apt. I decided I had to try it when I drove by and noticed the marquis outside said«What the phở»(LOL). I’m so glad I did. The employees are always so nice and accommodating. And the food is amazing. Best cold/flu food… best hangover food… best any-day food! Stop in, you’ll be glad you did!

I am not sure what makes their Phở better than others but it is fantastic. They give you a complimentary spring roll that is soooo fresh. This is my favorite Phở place and I drive by two others to get here. Like most this is a small place but the secret is out so get there early. ‘we had a variety of meals at the table and eveyone was happy.

This is one of my go-to places in the energy corridor. The atmosphere of the restaurant is good and the service is fast — making it a great lunch place. I like to avoid eating meat and Phở & Crab has some great vegetarian options. In particular, I really like the Phở Vegan. It is always full of fresh vegetables and tofu.

Extremely disappointed with this place today. I wish I could review in negative. This is a place I used to recommend to others but after this I can never. So Much so that the owner doesn’t care when the vege spring rolls comes with biscuit like tofu, goes on to say that you probably don’t eat this type of tofu. Another friend asked for chicken fried rice and was served vege ones names as chicken. Another dish came without rice, until we were about to leave. They clearly cannot handle busy hours. Long story short, very disappointed and don’t wish to come back.

I am super surprised how much I loved this place. My dad thought it was a seafood restaurant. We sit down and realized that it was Vietnamese food. The menu. I LOVED. It was descriptive for those of us who have no clue what to do with the menu items. Finally I picked something. The food came and it was AMAZING. My dad and husband both ordered different fried rice and they both were great. I love this place

The food was okay, ordered the Crab, scallop shrimp Phở they literally only gave me one shrimp one baby scallop, imitation crab and crab claw. I asked the waiter if they can make the phở spicy upon request since I had seen someone post spicy seafood phở, he said«can you just put Siracha in your phở» I didn’t feel like having anyone spit in my food nor punching him out for the smart ass remark so I decided to let that go and hope the soup would make up for the terrible service, I was wrong! I won’t be returning to this place at all nothing special about their phở other then the fact they are the only ones that I know of that use seafood in their soups. Had the service been better I would have given one more star but the lack of portion and service combined gave this place one star.

Dining at this restaurant was an example of me branching out. As a newbie to Vietnamese food, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I decided to play it safe and follow my coworkers’ recommendation and order the phở with beef brisket. Even though I have nothing to compare this to, the soup was a delightful surprise. It was a little awkward for me to eat at first simply because I am not accustomed to eating it but I quickly got the hang of things. I must say what makes this soup is not the noodles and vegetables and meat but the broth. After seasoning it with loads of fresh basil, cilantro, lime, and a little sriracha sauce, I felt the broth was quite tasty. Because the bowl was so large I was unable to finish it. But I must say that the broth got better and better the longer the meat, herbs, and spices marinated together. Would I ever crave this dish, probably not. But I am happy to say that as a result of this experience I have tried and enjoyed Vietnamese food for the first time!

I have always wanted to try this place. Let’s face it I love seafood and it was close to home. It is located across from a car wash and can be easily missed when driving by. The décor was somewhat average, very quiet for a food establishment even with 3 – 4 tables with customers, and we had a very attentive server to our needs. My family ordered the lemon grass steam mussel, fried rice, and seafood bird nest. –Mussels were salty and bit bland –Fried rice was average –Seafood bird nest was salty –Bit over priced on these dishes Overall, we had great service. I would recommend anyone to try it at least once because there was a lot of different choices to try.

I’m going to be an understanding person and say that with a little more personnel/service that it would easily be a 4-star review but we probably came at the wrong day/time. Enter the parking lot where if looks like you might have a difficult time to find a place if you were to visit here for a busy lunch but we got here at the right time when nobody else was here around 6:00 pm. The interior is decent, well kept and clean. You will be quick to notice there are about 20 tables with another small section towards the back. The male that sat us was very nice and accommodating considering I wanted the Vietnamese coffee dripping in front of me so that I could s how my guest how it is made instead of coming out like an instant drink. You’ll have to request for this. We must have visited on an off day and maybe they send all of the front help home because shortly after we got there they kind of got slammed with about 6 more tables. About 15 minutes passed before we could get our drink and a nother 20 minutes on top of that to get our order taken but that was understandable since we told him we were expecting another person. After finally ordering it took another 45 minutes to get our order which I fault the onslaught of everybody coming in at the same time and maybe catching the kitchen staff off guard. I’m sure on a normal occasion these small bumps probably would not exist. As friendly as the male was, we finally got our food which consisted of the grilled pork and rice plate followed by the rock n roll beef with fried rice. Let me tell you, the smell of the food passing by to the other tables as well as what was brought in front of us had that«authentic chef heart into it» smell as well as the taste. There definitely were no complaints about that and THAT my friends is the main reason why you might want to bookmark this place and give it a try. On the menu there is this…$ 100 prepared fish that I did not really get all of the details but if you try this well financial poking dish, please let us less fortunate people know, I will be waiting for this. I was told that this is the only Vietnamese cuisine/Phở place around for miles so that being said, the price does reflect the location advantage. On your visit, I hope that everything is executed well so that you can enjoy what is entailed in this establishment as we should all have a little heart in supporting your local mom and pop businesses.

I went to Phở & Crab Restaurant with a few of my colleagues on a Thursday afternoon. I heard that they served fresh coconut water, and I was excited to try it. When we first got in, I was impressed by the décor, as most phở places are not typically as nice. We were seated, and I ordered a fresh coconut water — $ 4, as well as P1. Phở Crab, Shrimp and Scallop — $ 14. I am not used to spending so much on a bowl of phở, but then again, I’m not used to eating seafood in my phở. This particular bowl consisted of crab meat, shrimp, and scallops with bean sprout, jalapeño, scallions, onion, fresh herbs and lime. When the waitress brought the fresh coconut water out, I was shocked to see how big it was. Usually, most coconut waters you order at a restaurant in Houston do not last very long, but this coconut was huge! They will even cut it open for you after you finish the water and let you eat the coconut meat(white, fleshy part of the coconut). The waitress also surprised me with a free spring roll appetizer. It didn’t mention this on the menu, so they may do this for their lunch guests only. As far as the phở goes, I was not that big fan of the broth, but I did enjoy the seafood touch. I will definitely come back to try more things on the menu. What to order: –Fresh Coconut Water Pros: –Private parking lot –Clean interior –Serves largest coconuts I’ve encountered in a Houston restaurant Cons: –Pricey

This was an amazing experience and I can’t see how anyone could give this place a negative review. From the food to service Phở & Crab is where it’s at. Located in West Houston off Memorial Drive Phở & crab is holding down the block with the best Phở Broth in town(yea I said it!) Must Try’s: 1. The Bun Special 2. Phở Special: Crab, Shrimp and scallops 3. Beef Filet Phở 4. Lemongrass Limeade 5. Banana’s Foster with Pistachio ice cream Phở & Crab have their own parking lot and ample street parking should they be super busy! This venue is great for large gatherings, group meetups and intimate dinners.

I was invited here by a couple of coworkers. They have been talking about this place so I put it in my bookmarks. So today was the day and 4 of us went over to eat. All 3 of them have been before so it was my first visit. It is not a big place but its not small either. We sat at a table instead of a booth to give us more room. There were two large flat screen for our viewing pleasure. We all ordered something different. There is a very extensive menu. 1 person got a vermicelli bowl the rest of us got some type of Phở. The dishes come with a spring roll appetizer and we also had some eggs rolls on the side. They were delicious. Next they brought out the main event which was Phở Eye-Round Beef, Brisket for me. There were fresh herbs for you to add in which helped give it more flavor. It was definitely the best Phở that I have ever had. The service was pretty good, although it gets pretty crowded at lunch time. When we left we met the owner, he is a very nice guy and informed us that he will be opening a sandwich type shop across the street very soon. I will had Phở & Crab to my lunch list to return. I will bring some different co workers to enjoy.
