This is by far one of my favorite phở restaurants in the northwest Houston area because of two things 1) the customer service. We’re always greeted and asked for drink orders/food orders in a timely fashion. 2) because the broth is always on point and most of all they load up your bowl with meats and meatballs. And this is a small detail to some, but they’re veggies are always fresh, bright green and appealing. Sometimes you go to phở restaurants and it looks like they reuse the un-used mint leafs/cilantro uggggh. Big props to phở dahn here in the 1960/jones area. Now, only if you guys could stay open a bit later id probably dine in a lot more then often :)

This was by far the best phở restaurant ever. The restaurant is spacious, bright, and clean. Food comes out pretty fast and tastes amazing. I had #2 phở with eye round steak, large bowl. Emptied the bowl within 5 min. Super delicious. The bathroom is clean too.

This place only sell phở and noddles and it the best by far in this area. They have 3 locations in Houston and all 3 are busy all the time. They are so busy sometimes that they might run out of phở lol, that should be telling you something. The restroom are clean with high soap level, I just wished that they had napkins in the restroom to. I really don’t like hand dryer bc you have the touch the door handle. The servers are nice and the phở are priced well. 10min max for your order to come out when it is not busy.

The best phở restaurant in Houston in my opinion! This location is right down the street from where I live so my family and I come here quite often. They have other specialties as well such as bun bo hue and bun Suong which are also my favorite aside from their phở. The staffs here are polite and the restaurant is very clean!

Introduced my fiancée to phở. He got the beef soup #10 and the marble steak had so much fat it turned him off. He did finish his soup despite all the protestations. However, my eye round and brisket soup #3 was excellent! The broth is simply awesome and steals the show. The noodles are chewy and flavorful and the greens and sprouts are very fresh. Service is incredibly fast and attentive. And the entire restaurant is immaculately clean. From where we sat I could see into the kitchen and it’s also spotless. We will be back!

I love that there is a strictly Phở place such as this on the NW side of Houston. Sure, you can get Phở and any of the many places around, but to get Phở with such variety? This is probably one of the few, if not only, places. During our visit my husband and I were one of the few, if not the only, non-Asian couple during our visit; this usually suggests SOME sort of authenticity, right? Aside from Phở, you can order«sides» such as extra noodle, extra soup and an assortment of meats – as well as a strictly Phở and noodle, should you choose. What’s more, you can actually pick between«Small» and«Large» sizes; you’re not stuck ordering a trough of soup like most places. It’s also one of the two places around here where I’ve seen broth on the side(Kho) style. Got #28(Mi Do Bien Nuoc) and loved the flavor of the broth – it was so smooth. The side order of shrimp balls(Chen Suong) had a super delicious broth flavor as well. Definitely suggest coming to Phở Danh if you’re looking to go outside the usual«comfort zone» of most Vietnamese places around here and try something new. Don’t come here looking for egg rolls, fried rice or Pad Thai, and shame on you if you’re looking for the aforementioned at a Vietnamese place to begin with!

I don’t know why I even bother trying to eat this place. The first time I was here(1 year ago), I stand there and wait for someone to acknowledge me to take my seat, but no ones seem to be paying any attention so I left. So the other day I was trying to give it any another chance but once again I was disappointed. After I was seated this time, I sat there and wait for 10 minutes and no ones come to take order(not even bring out water). Then I looked up and saw a customer walk up to the counter with a plate of vegetable and complained that it was dirty. After that I had enough so I left and this time I refuse to go back if they pay me to. If I can give this place 0 star I would because I never even get to try out the food. Another thing about this place that annoyed me was their claim that they only use little MSG. What is little MSG? Either yes or no, little MSG not going to help the people with MSG allergery SMH!!! I am so embarrass despite a nice looking place is run by people who does not belong to be in business.

Best phở in Houston. Lots of meat, lots of noodle, lots of soup, lots of bean sprouts. Left with a full tummy and a still full wallet.

I normally eat rice plates at a phở place, but this place has nothing but phở. I’ve been under the weather all week and I wanted some kind of soup, so this place worked out well. The phở came out pretty quick and the service was great! I should’ve ordered the X-large bowl because the large didn’t have enough noodles for me. All in all, if you want good phở, this is the place to come. Don’t expect any other dishes, or egg rolls.

Best phở in town. I love this please. Very clean and service is great. Only bad thing is they close early because they run out of broth. You go there at 730 and lights would be off. I recommend calling before going.

I didn’t eat here so I comment on the food. I stopped in for a Vietnamese Coffee. The coffee here is like every other coffee that can be bought at any other Phở establishment. Let me just say that this place is super clean and super modernized. The coolest Vietnamese restaurant that I’ve seen. It could be a Vegas night club at night.

This is my favorite place for phở in this area. The service is fast(my food usually arrives in less than 3 minutes) and the staff is friendly. The interior is spacious, clean, and bright. I love the phở because the broth is flavorful and full of depth. The meat is tender and abundant. I always order an iced Vietnamese coffee. It is rich, creamy, and strong. The only downside to this place is that it can get pretty loud when it’s busy.

There is no doubt that this place is clean and the Phở taste almost up to par. HOWEVER, jeez, the owner or anybody else who is in charge, please do something about the noise. Gosh, we came to the restaurant on Sunday very late afternoon. We intended to avoid the peak hour when everybody came at once after church because to us it was too loud and noisy. But God no, we were wrong, those noises compared to the noise that were made by their wait staff even worse. I could not stand it and I swore my ears were really hurt that day. Let me tell you how they cleaned the table. Those girls just kept slamming those poor chairs on the floor, then they slammed(or threw) plates and bowls in their cleaning cart. And they kept«scratching» the chairs on the floor, i wondered how hard it would be for them to actually pick up the freaking chair instead of dragging them like that. It was super noisy and very annoying. Seriously, please do something about this. As if they did not want to clean or work or let customers eat. Not to mention their faces and gestures. I understand sometimes after peak hour you were really tired, but please, if so then asked for a break, went outside, took some deep breath. Or simply just took off and went home. Not only the front, but back of the house was noisy too, I can literally hear what they were doing in the kitchen. I think because of the restaurant’s design too, with all those glass windows and shiny marble floor & wall, noises bounce too hard and could not escape outside. It then is escalated by those waitresses who obviously did not give a(fill in a blank) about their owner’s property. The noise and their rude service really turned me off, that was 30 minutes of torture, I’m telling you. Ah, by the way, make sure you have everything you want to order be ready when they come and take your order. Because after that, if you need anything else, it’ll take forever for them to glance at you. This is not China town, not Bellaire, your legacy could not last long as soon as the area is crowded with more proper and polite restaurant. From the bottom of my heart, if you’re the owner and you’re reading this right now, please do something about the way they clean the tables. It’s not only for customers(ears) but also for your own property, because if they keep doing the way the do right now, you’re gonna lose some money soon in the future for floor renovation and chairs renew.

So this time I timed my waiting time and guess what? It only took around 2 mins 30 secs for my large phở to arrive. Awesomeness. Oh and the cashier told me cash only this time, I’m not sure why.

Phở Danh on 11049FM1960 5÷29÷2015 Large bowl of Phở with a ice vietnamese coffee. Sparkling clean, spacious dining area. LOTS of light. Marble topped tables. Busy for lunch. Note — Place does NOT have vermicelli dishes or spring rolls. There are a few other items, but this place is really all about the PHO. The bowls come in THREE sizes, Small, Large, and X-Large. Large here is just a bit bigger than a normal sized bowl, IMHO. As with any place that properly serves phở, you get a little plate of greens, limes, and bean sprouts. Many places I have been to usually leave out the ngo gai(wild coriander). Not so for this place. Secondly, the basil and the ngo gai they serve is VERY fresh and pungent. I realized I had put too much in after the first taste. That being said, it was delicious. Very flavorful broth that wasn’t overly salty. It wasn’t murky but a nice light brown with clear floating globuls of fat floating on top, lots of them! Bowl came out hot, but not scorching. After about a minute, all the pink in my meat was gone. Very delicious and tasty. Also pretty cheap. The bowl, coffee and tip for the waiter came to ~$ 12. Highly recommended and the best I’ve had in the area.

Came here with my bros Pat and Long one friday afternoon. Conveniently located near Long’s work, Phở Danh was suggested by the man himself. Apparently their special combo was solid so of course we had to try it. The service was extremely quick, we had our piping hot bowls of meat, broth, and noodles in about like 5 mins and 28 seconds. The broth had a very clean taste and was similar to consommé. Thin slices of brisket, top round, tripe, and meatballs balanced the clean taste of the broth with some meatiness. The interior is Phở Danh is pretty neat, big open glass windows allow beautiful natural sunlight to illuminate the room. Of course natural sunlight makes your food look 21093810x better so that was a plus :-)

Summary– darn good phở, clean, and reasonably priced. Food– 4 stars Only had phở, good not spectacular. Liked the broth, noodles were oddly too soft, but overall I was happy. Some other people had some Vietnamese soups I haven’t tried yet that looked awesome, look forward to getting one of those. Atmosphere– 4 stars Clean, bright, kinda cafeteria-esque, which works for phở. Value– 4 Stars Lotsa phở for the $

I dined here yesterday with a girlfriend of mine as we were in the area looking for a quick lunch. I’ve been to many Phở Danh locations and they are very consistent and always deliver a great meal. I ordered the #26 with the soup on the side probably one of my favorite dishes the glass noodle or clear noodle soup with shrimp, pork, and chicken. The broth was very flavorful and the small could have fed two people. They give you lots of veggies to eat with it including bean sprouts, jalapenos, lime, lettuce, and another plant that taste like arugula and cilantro had a baby. My girlfriend had the #22 which was the vermicelli with shrimp, pork and chicken and I tasted her broth which was also nice with a hint of chili oil to add some spice. I got to eat one of her shrimp balls which look like they make in house fresh. It was really good.
