So I just got back from lunch here, I normally get the Bun Bo Hue, which is pretty good. Today I decided to change it up and go with a Small Lunch Combo($ 6.95)that comes with a Small bowl of Phở(your choice of meat), 1 spring roll, and iced/hot tea. I ordered my combo & a plate quickly came out with 2 spring rolls, which got me thinking like«I thought it only came with 1 spring roll, or at least that’s what the menu said», so when my waitress came by with my hot tea, I asked her to confirm that I did indeed only order the Small Lunch Combo. After I confirmed, I proceeded to enjoy my spring rolls(yes both of them). My Phở came a little later & I finished that then went to go pay. When the cashier was ringing me up, she charged me $ 6.95& another amount which I’m not sure which came out to be a total of $ 9.51. I asked her why is it so much when I only ordered a Small Lunch Combo & she asked me how many spring rolls I had. I said there was 2 on the plate but I only ordered the Small Lunch Combo. She said she’s charging me for the extra spring roll. I told her again I only ordered the Small Lunch Combo so if it’s their mistake it’s not my problem. She then says«Forget it» and punches some numbers to somehow come up with a total of $ 8.61; I just hand her my card to pay & add tip since I was just annoyed I even had to be in that position. After getting in my car, I realized the calculation is wrong to begin with because if my Small Lunch Combo is $ 6.95 + tax = $ 7.52; where the hell did the $ 8.61 come from? All in all I don’t appreciate being jipped and yes it was a litle over a dollar but it’s the principle of it that really bothers me. Honestly, if they made a mistake, they need to just own up to it & let me know that it’s only suppose to come with 1 spring roll & not charge me for it, that’s good customer service, not the kind of crap they tried to pull. I will not be eating here again, poor customer service. Go to Phở Hu Tieu Nam Vang on Gears Rd, awesome food & great service. One time they brought me out a large bowl instead of a small bowl, apologized for it and charged me for a small bowl.

I have tried a few other places that serve PHO and have been highly disappointed! This place always has fresh ingredients! They give you a lot even with the small dish! I love how they package the PHO to go so conveniently! I normally get the well done brisket PHO and it’s very tender and the PHO is so flavorful unlike some watered down ones! I love it! After trying other places this is the only PHO place I trust! My #1PHO spot!

I love Phở on a day when I want something light. They have a wide variety of noodle soup and I love the selection. I usually order the combination chicken. They give you fresh basil, cilantro, and Brussel sprouts with every noodle soup order. I also tried their Vietnamese sandwich and it was sooo yummy! I definitely recommend trying this spot atleast once. It’s very affordable as well.

The restaurant moved next door to it’s original spot, but everything is the same. The layout, wall color, menu, and staff hasn’t changed a bit. In fact, you might not even notice if you frequent here. My original post for Phở 95(or previously called«iPho») rated the Phở, but this review is for the rice plate. I ordered the rice plate beef combo which comes with your choice of egg roll or spring roll and an ice tea. I normally choose this dish now because it fills me up(mostly because of the simple carbs such as rice), the beef is delicious(especially with fish sauce), and the it goes awesome with a side order of fried egg. The last three times I ordered this dish they forgot my fried egg but I think it’s just simple miscommunication between the cook and waitress. The total for this rice plate combo is $ 9.42(before tax) if you add the fried egg. If you pay by credit card, the vendor name would appear as «Phở 579» and not«Phở 95». Overall it’s a great place to grab lunch during the week day. Delicious phở and rice plate combos. Note: They now accept Discover Card

The best bowl of phở in the north houston area. Fresh and tasty spring rolls too. This place deserves more than the 3 star average!

The Phở is pretty good here. Inside has seen better days. There is a new one on 249 that is closer and more eye appealing.

This is by far the only place in Houston I’ll ever even considering eating Phở at. Phở is the Vietnamese style Beef/Chicken noodle soup. It comes with a delicious broth, med. sized rice noodles, and select parts of beef as in brisket, round-eye, meatballs, tendons, etc. You can add basil, bean sprouts, hoisen sauce, hot sauce, lime, and fresh jalapenos to taste. My favorite is phở with eye-round steak and meatballs. I usually get the eye round steak raw with a side bowl of broth, that way I dip it myself and eat it medium rare. However my favorite dish at this place is Bun Bo Hue. Hue region style soup with thick fat rice noodles, beef, pork sausage, pork feet, pork sausage, and cooked blood. Phở 95 is one of the few places that slices up the pork so you don’t get a big o’ chunk of bone in your bowl. The soup here is so flavorful, and I love the assortment of veggies you get. Also you can add fermented shrimp paste, which I love to do even though I understand if some ppl are offset by the smell: P That’s not even all, this place makes awesome Spring Rolls. I happen to know it’s made fresh every morning for the lunch rush, and to order in the evening. The ingredients are thinly sliced pork sausage, shrimp sliced in half, mint, bean sprouts, cucumber, lettuce, and vermicelli(thin rice noodles) rolled in thin rice paper. You get it with peanut sauce, which is hoisen sauce cooked with peanut butter. I add a squirt of chilli and dip in like crazy. Some ppl prefer the restaurant blend fish sauce-you just have to ask for the sub. when ordering. There are some cons to this place too. It’s hidden in the back of shopping center so you have to know where it is and it’s a very plain and bare kinda place. That’s because Phở is considered Vietnamese fast food, so don’t expect well rounded service. You’re lucky if you get a waiter/waitress fluent enough in English to NOT give you semi-blank stares. Best thing to do is order by dish number then!
