There’s not much I can say that hasn’t been stated about Naqiya from pervious reviews. She was extremely sweet and finished my tattoo in under 30 minutes. She is a freelance artist that will travel to your home (for an additional travel fee) or establish a meet up location (coffee shop, etc.).
I am African-​American, and I was a little concerned about how well the ink would stain my skin. I never had henna before, so when I initially washed the ink off, I was disappointed in how faint the tattoo looked. But — just as Naqiya said– the next morning I had a beautiful tattoo. It’s like magic! Definitely get your tattoo the day before an event vs. day of.
If you are darker skin tone, I would suggest jagua dye. This is slightly more expensive then traditional henna, but it stains black and the dry time isn’t as long.

The henna applied by Naqiya was so intricate and beautifully done. You can tell that with each stroke she took, she put her whole heart into it. I hired her for my wedding and the henna turned out beautiful. She mixes the henna herself and the color was perfect. I couldn’t have found a more perfect person to apply it. Not only was she good at her job but she was sweet and great to talk to as well! Would recommend her to everyone!

N. is a very nice person who knows a lot about henna. This time I got jagua for the 1st time. I love how distinctly it stands out on my black skin. I liked that she adjusted the design I wanted to my price point. It’s very pretty and I’ve gotten many, many compliments! The wrist/​hand part is *perfect*. The finger detail isn’t as great but I might be partly to blame. Next time I’ll wait longer for my fingers to dry. I’d definitely go to N. again & recommend her to others, especially for henna.

First off, let me start by stating that I am a HUGE henna addict. I love the earthy smell, and just everything about henna. I actually stopped getting henna for a while because too many people were trying to give me generic designs (smiley faces etc.), when I wanted nothing more than real MEHNDI. Naqiya is amazingly awesome! I cannot even begin to tell you what an amazing job she does!!! I have had her henna last for nearly a month, not babying it. IF you are planning a wedding, party, or whatever I would strongly suggest that you hire this woman right here without hesitation.

Amazing!!! Naqiya (the artist/​owner) was so personal, professional and clearly loves what she does! She was so quick to reach and even with last minute plans/​addition. She didn’t upsell or give outrageous prices as other people I spoke to bc I had very simple henna done. Not being Indian I was nervous and she answered all my questions and so patiently!!! Can’t wait to use her excellent, creative services again!!!

Naqiya came to a baby shower that I planned, and she was incredible! We booked her for only an hour, yet she managed to make at least 10 people happy with their henna tattoos. She works very quickly, but is able to do beautiful, detailed work. I would definitely hire her again for a future event.

The owner of this business is extremely professional and helpful. She was prompt in replying to all my questions and inquires and on the day of our meet, she was there on time and ready to go (Which does not happen a lot in my previous experiences with henna artists).
She was very sweet and made conversation, you could tell that she likes to make a good rapport with her clients. After the henna had been applied she sat with me and gave me tips on how to improve the color of the stain.
In general, i was very happy with the service I received from Paisleys and swirls! I would recommend their services to everyone seeking them.
