We really enjoyed their crab puffs, but their spring rolls were poorly wrapped and fell apart after the first bite. I’ve definitely had a better peanut sauce. I loved their Grant Roll, though. I’ve always thought of sushi as small and unsatisfying, but I appreciated the 6 pieces of cooked sushi roll topped with mini piles of sushi & seaweed.

Clean and friendly staff. They were getting ready to close so everything came out quick which was great because my sister in law was extremely hungry after a long road trip. My siblings were picky about the salad coming pre drizzled with dressing and preferred ranch. The waitress was very kind to exchange the dressing for ranch. Clear soup and salad came with my siblings combination rice(steak, shrimp and chicken). Clear soup consisted of sliced raw mushrooms, green onions and something mushy at the bottom. My sister didn’t like it so a pass to me was welcomed. I thought it was pretty decent but stayed clear of the mush(I assuming it was once pieces of fried wonton strips). My smoked salmon sashimi wasn’t what I was expecting. I liked the texture and how tender it was but I was hoping the flavor would have been a lighter smoked salmon to still taste close to its fresh taste. My tiger eye roll was different than I imagined. There was hardly any salmon inside. I liked the crunch and cream cheese but I would have enjoyed a better portion of salmon and rice. I also tried a Japanese soda pop for the first time. It was interesting to open it up(there are steps to do so). It was lighter on the sugar and fun to try. Definitely no comparison to a coke and all its sugar content but I would order the pop again.

We were greeted right at the door and asked if we wanted Hibachi or regular. We took the Hibachi. We were following the host and he went straight into the kitchen, I almost followed him. Apparently he was trying to find out where to seat us. we were seated shortly after. We waited about 10 minutes for somebody to come and take our drink order, and there was not that many people in the restaurant. Shortly after that the chef came and took our order. He said the waitress was busy. She then came to take the order. About 5 minutes after that the chef came and started cooking. He had a great personality and very friendly. the food was great. And so much I was stiffed halfway through I needed a box. Overall a good experience. Was a last minute decision to go there so it was not bad.

I love love Osaka! I’m in there at least 3x a week so Nancy knows me by name! The California roll and shaggy dog are omg awesome! I had some kind of drink that was very GOOD! Idk the name. When coming here you can’t go wrong w/anything on the menu… hibachi, bento box, sushi, or actual kitchen food!

I much prefer the delivery over the dine-in experience. The delivery people are incredibly friendly. The restaurant itself has pretty regular offerings. The sushi menu is pretty good, but don’t expect top dollar stuff. The stir-fry and other menu items are fairly unexciting. We have not done the hibachi, so I can’t speak to that. It’s good for a weeknight when you don’t feel like cooking.

As soon as you walk in you notice floors are dirty. The service is ok if you have been to the Westhimer location you will be disappointed. I didn’t have the same experience and looks less kept up with.

Went for a date one night to eat hibachi and I have never been sicker. Initially after we ate I felt fine, but later that night around midnight I felt nauseous so I thought maybe I could sleep it off. Woke up the in the middle of the night feeling even worse I kept vomiting and I couldn’t even move through your the rest of the day ruined the night and the next day. Definitely not going back.

Props to Andres our chef for our first time here. He really did a great job and made the food taste great. Easily became a go to spot now. I would highly recommend the chicken and shrimp hibachi. Price is resonable.

They are fancy as East Houston gets. Food is good but not memorable, décor is cheesy, staff wasn’t the great last time my husband and I went. We now opt to go downtown instead of getting our sushi fix here

We cashed in on the gift card they so generously gave us and WOAH what a turn around. The sushi was TOPNOTCH! The waitstaff was kind as always. They helped us when our child had a complete melt down. The habachi was delicious. Fresh delicious food! Yum! I’m so excited about the changes they made. We will be back again! Thanks Osaka!

Sushi is excellent! First time having it and it really left a good impression. Good place. Very clean. Service is fast, courteous overall very excellent. Salad could’ve had just a little bit more kick but other than that, completely satisfied. Coming again with the family!

Friendly, fast service. I sat at the bar(full service) and could appreciate that even the bartender was attentive to the crowd making sure that everyone was being served in a timely fashion. Ordered the King Lobster Roll. It was made to perfection. A combination of sweet, spice, crispy, melt in your mouth flavor in every bite. They have fried ice cream on the menu. I was too full to try. I will be back! The atmosphere is quite comfortable. Cared for interior /typical strip mall exterior. I gave this review a 4 only due to the location. This side of the beltway is still up and coming. For anyone that frequents the area, it’s definitely worth a visit. I’m glad to have the option. However, it’s not quite worth a drive from across the city etc, as I’m sure that there are other similar places. My personal side note: They carry Perrier and limes.

We loved being able to choose which side to sit on. The sushi side or the side where you can have your food made in front of you. It was a spur of the moment dinner choice and we just wanted to have some sushi! What a selection they had! You could easily choose whatever your heart desired and maybe even something you never even heard before! It was easily a great place to have dinner.

Decent. I had never been to this part of Houston so that was an adventure in and of itself. Osaka is really two restaurants in one: hibachi style on one side and regular dining on the other. We opted for regular dining. Shared several apps including the chicken wings, chicken tempura, and yakitori. Chicken wings were solid, you can’t really mess that one up. Chicken tempura was also solid and came with some tempura veggies as well, can’t really mess that one up. Yakitori was some of the worst I’ve had. The sauce was bland which made the meat tasteless. I’m usually a big fan of this dish so that was a disappointment. You also get miso soup and a salad with ginger sauce with entrees. My main dish was the pork katsu which is a classic Japanese dish. I’ve visited Tokyo and I can tell you this dish was authentic. Breaded pork cutlet served with rice and a special brown sauce. Brought me back to my time in Japan so that was nice. I will say my favorite part of my meal was my Shirley Temple. Yes, I’m a grown man drinking a Shirley Temple on a Friday night. Hey, don’t knock it till you try it!
