Original Haircuts

Leila is great! She cuts hair very well for a great price. She is the only person I go to now. Highly recommend her. Plus she is very sweet. Loves to chat. She is also very engaging. It is in a slightly shady area, but not super bad.

My daughter, half black half white, has the curliest, THICKEST, LONGEST hair you could EVER imagine. To comb it out takes an hour. I took her to get her hair straightened, it usually takes me a good 3 hours because she has such an enormous amount of hair. They did it right under an hour!
They were gentle, nice and my daughter loved it! I have since been there and there are NO SHADY parking lots as someone implied (seems that person may be the competition) and she did a wonderful job on my hair.

I decided to go check this place out because I couldn’t imagine how bad a parking lot could be that someone. would rate this business without ever even going into it by the looks of the parking lot. I found nothing wrong with the parking lot. I decided to get my hair cut by Leila so that I could give her a more honest rating. Yes, the haircut is only $ 15 and is a no frills place. No shampoo, no moisturizers or creams on the hair but what I did get was one great haircut. I wanted a wash and wear style. I can’t waste my day in front of a mirror so I was a bit taken back when she used the blow dryer and styled it. It looked great and she told me that it would be a great wash and wear style. By the evening, when the style no longer had its pep, I thought I had the worst hair cut of my life. I was already trying to figure who to go to for fixing it. It was horrible but I remembered her saying that it was a good wash and wear. This morning I washed it and did not blow dry it. It is the cutest hair style I’ve had in years! I just love it. I can’t hardly believe the difference. But yes, I’ll go back again and leave all of the high priced ambiance to those who want to waste their money. P. s. I am adding to this review after two more haircuts just to say that I am still very happy with her cut and style.

After reading Katie F’s review I thought this would be a good place to check out. I pulled in and the shopping center looks shady and dark. Needless to say I pulled in and pulled right out. If the outside doesnt I cant expect a decent cut.

Ladies, all this recession talk has gotten me thinking: why, when I have long, straight hair that just needs an inch hacked off, would I go to a salon and spend $ 50 plus tip to make this happen?
Original Haircuts was the answer to my money woes. Upon walking in, Leila, the owner and stylist, greeted me. The board on the wall said $ 14.99 for a women’s haircut, so the price was right. Leila immediately got to work on my hair, chatting happily while expressing more than a little disappointment about the severity of my split ends.
This lady knows how to cut hair! For $ 14.99, I expected a little unevenness here, a little less care taken there. At Original Haircuts, Leila cares about her customer and the quality of her product, so you come out a winner every time.
