Office Depot

I’m leaving 1 star because it’s impossible to leave zero stars. This place sucks and the customer service is of zero priority to the employees here. I watched 4 employees walk around looking at stuff on aisles. Saw two more employees come walking around and couldn’t help. I was just trying to drop off 2 UPS packages and get a receipt.
It’s no wonder stores like WalMart and Target are slowly killing these stores off. And that’s not saying much because WalMart has the worst customer service ever.
Good job Office Depot! You’ve managed to drop lower than the bar had already been set.

It’s kind of sad that I had driven past this place dozens of times over the past 2 years on my way to different things within the strip, but never noticed it. Recently, I was in the process of moving and needed to purchase some boxes. So I pulled up handy dandy Unilocal app and saw there was an Office Depot located minutes away from my office. On the map it would be in the same strip as Luby’s and the various banks I frequent, however, I had never noticed it, so I figured the Unilocal app was just outdated. However, there was still a review within the past few weeks so I opted to go see for myself.
Sure enough it’s right there smack dab in the middle. So much for being observant. These big box stores are getting handed to them by online retailers such as Amazon, however, if you need something immediately, you still turn to stores of this matter. The price isn’t as competitive, but NOW, beats even free 2 day shipping. Also, if you look at the markdown/​for sale items, their prices can even beat their online competitors.

This is an older and smaller Office Depot (or at least it sure feels like it) that’s my second go-​to place for office supplies. Customer service here is not too bad, but I had my moments when the workers were just chit-​chatting with each other without acknowledging my need to find something.
Some of the clearance stuff on here is pretty legit. I did find a Brother printer on clearance that was still new in the box. The other location that I frequented also had that same printer, but it was the floor sample with no guarantee if the ink cartridges were full or depleted. The printers were both priced the same. Guess which one I bought?
Like I said, this is the 2^nd most frequented location (the first being the one on N Loop freeway). I’m not going to go out of my way to come out here unless there’s something I really need and the other store doesn’t have it.

This Office Depot is close to my work place. So, I often come here a lot for print jobs or to buy necessities. The copy print center always does my jobs correctly. The staff are friendly and always professional. They would usually give me a call to make sure how I want the print job done.
Although, I give this place 3 stars is because the staff seems to be minimal. Outside of the copy print center, I wasn’t able to find help to look for something that I need. So, that is one of the reason why I’m giving this place 3 stars.

Small Office Depot, but the staff is friendly and will help find hard to locate items. They seem to be out of things fairly often.
