Unfortunately, I should have taken the advice of many of the others who have gone here before. While the food is decent for deli places, if you order delivery, it will always be late. They do not staff to get the food to you on time, and they have not developed the skills to apologize for tardiness. I do not recommend getting delivery from here at all. I have ordered for a small group and for my office, and each time it was an incredibly embarrassment despite ordering food an hour and half prior to the meetings.

Honestly, the place isn’t horrible. I can get a little bit better food here for the same price as a trip to McDonald’s or Whataburger. Generally, the best thing to get is their soups or salads. The burger is soggy and usually cold, the Chicken Fried Steak is a hamburger patty that’s been battered and fried, they DONOT de-vein their shrimp, I got food poisoning from there twice in the past few years, Hector is rude, I call in lunch at 10am for lunch at 11:30 and it’s always at least 15min late — they also say«about 30 minutes» for soup that’s in the hot tray, prices are a little high for the quality, but the worst part: NOBODY wears gloves. However, it’s convenient as hell and the«hit-and-miss» quality is worth the risk to not have to screw with Galleria traffic during lunch. Today’s chicken fingers are small, overcooked, and dry. Still a better love story than Twilight.

My office orders from here all the time. Order early– 11am– or sometimes it can take an hour(or more) to get your food, especially on rainy days when everyone seems to want their lunch delivered to they can avoid the bad weather themselves. Hector is really nice and very helpful on the phone. The pricing is great for the food you get. Most of the sandwiches are between $ 6 – 7 and come with a side. Food– Chili– very tasty, perfect for hot dogs as it is not runny or soupy, but thick and flavorful(also inexpensive, my boss ordered a few quarts of it for her super bowl party) Turkey, Avocado, Bacon sandwich– served on homemade bread, and the sandwich is stuffed with turkey. Sometimes it is messy to eat since there is so much meat Chicken club sandwich– a big chicken breast with bacon, avocado, and cheese, plus lettuce, tomato, mayo– can get messy since it is a thick and juicy chicken breast Avocado BLT– pretty straightforward and a good«go-to» sandwich when you don’t want a huge lunch Club sandwich– Turkey, ham, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo– this sandwich is stacked! Fresh fruit salad– exactly what it says, the fruit is cut up into bite sized pieces Creamy fruit salad– same as fresh fruit only with a creamy dressing and marshmallows for if you want something sweeter on the side And for what it’s worth, my boss ALWAYS gets the Swiss on Rye with carrot salad. She swears by it. If you work in the galleria area and are looking for a good place that delivers, this is a must!

Tried this place for the first time. It was the only place where they would deliver breakfast near the galleria. I must say, the food was good. Its nothing fancy, just perfect for starting the day off. We ordered breakfast for our off8ce, it arrived in approx 30 minutes. About 4 of us ate for $ 30. NOCOMPLAINTS

This place is part of the Family. I work close by and they have been delivering my lunch to me for many, many years. My favorites are: tomato basil soup, chef salad, Caesar salad and shrimp scampi. If you want something that’s not on the menu… they will make it for you. Call your orders in early for on-time delivery. The owner, Hector, is a great guy and will take good care of you. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop in and have breakfast or lunch with them. If you want hot muffins to take to work then try their homemade banana nut or blueberry muffins. They are the best !! Stop by or call an order in. You won’t be sorry !

Easy to order on Eat 24 and I got my order within 30 mins so no complaints here! Got two sandwiches with one side each and 2 drinks for $ 15. The sandwiches are good meat, veggies, and bread. Nothing fancy and it does the job. I would definitely order here again.

Delivery was 2 hours LATE! My food was cold and this is the 3rd time my orders have been excessively LATE. Not impressed nor satisfied with the service of Nellies diner. This is the first negative review I have EVER wrote. That says a lot.

I’m going to have to give this a 3 based on numerous visits I’ve had here. The guy that takes the order and rings you, very nice and provides excellent customer service. The rest of the staff, is a different story. You can find yourself ordering a meal and it will be promised within 15 minutes. Once you arrive after 15 minutes, you have to wait around for the cashier. Other staff members obviously see that you are waiting and they won’t flag him down for you. They turn back around and resume adding salad dressings or fixing a plate for another customer. It only takes a few seconds to holler at the guy someone is ready to pay. That’s not the case. So if you’re in a hurry, I wouldn’t suggest ordering from here. It’s convenient when you don’t want to leave the office or if it’s a slow day at work. If you’re on a time crunch, this isn’t a feasible place to have your meal. Although I heard they deliver, but that takes awhile getting upstairs too. The Deli meals on the other hand are above average for cafeteria food. The Chicken Fried Steak comes on the menu special. It is fabulous. Although the portion is very time, the gravy is flavorful and very creamy. I love it, but there is never enough for the mash potato and chicken fried steak. The price is a bit much for the portion. The nacho special is decent. You get a gigantic portion of chips, your choice of either chicken fajita or ground beef, sour cream, etc. What I don’t like about it, is how they throw everything together and it becomes one big conglomerate mess. It’s not a very appealing presentation. I guess it depends on who is fixing it, because sometimes there will be instances where your entire entire is drowning in cheese. The sandwiches are always a good choice though. They give you the right portion and it’s always fresh. Overall, the food quality is good, but the service can be slow at times.

Went to this little deli yesterday while visiting a friend at work. The sandwiches were legit, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of a deli inside an office building. Great meal and I will defintely eat there again if I visit my friend at work again.

No vending machines anywhere in the building? Pardon? That’s right, if you want an unhealthy, yet oh so deserved snack, or fizzy caffeinated pick-me-up to carry you through the last few hours of work, you’re going to either have to BYOJF(bring your own junk food) or go to Nellie’s Deli. Some contract. I found this out recently, while spending several days at 2000 Bering. Nellie’s Deli provided my sustenance. For an office building cafeteria, they earn a B-. Keep in mind, office cafeteria’s need their own rating system*, so if you to include the surrounding non-office building eateries in the grading system, that B– would fall to a C-. D– if you include Ginza and the steam table at the YMCA on Augusta. They have a nice selection of sandwiches, both hot and cold varieties, that come on bread including rye, onion roll, white, wheat, etc. These are accompanied by chips or potato salad and pickle spears. The salads are north of mediocre. I got a Greek Salad on the first day. Okay, but it had a few bits of the worst thing you can put in your body: Iceberg Lettuce. I ate around it. The ingredients were fresh, and there were even capers. I was a bit impressed. Day two, I ordered a fruit salad and opted out of the cottage cheese, instead circling the menu-mentioned tuna salad. In a slap on the hand maneuver, I was given cottage cheese. For lunch. With fruit. I felt like I was on the ballerina diet, sans cigarettes. Oh, the fruit was fresh, tasty, plentiful, and varied, but I felt like I should be sitting by the stage door in a tutu with a cigarette in one hand, fork in the other. *For an office building, they deserve 4-stars, but I gave them three because I don’t want you to go searching them out, then scorn me for the rest of your life.
