Although the 1 star is my review of this establishment, I have to say that I have not been given the opportunity to step foot into the spa. My experience is based on dealing with 1(or several individuals), as well as the owner of the club via email. I want to provide a series of emails for consumers to check out and decide from there, but due to limits, I am unable to post the emails that started in January; however I will be more than happy to provide said emails if anyone is interested. And although I was as professional as can be in my contact with this establishment, and want to limit my subjectivity in this review, I will say what happened is mind boggling – incredible incompetence, poor reading comprehension, and downright rudeness – good luck with that in running a business. I’ll also add that the owner was questioned about her company being a scam in the discussion section of groupon and she became very defensive. Now I’m left wondering what her defensiveness was all about… In summary, here is what I experienced: 1) I purchased from groupon a set of EIGHT«laser lipo» treatments. 2) I started emailing in January 2012 and would not get responses for several days – unfortunately I do not have my first couple emails when I got no response after several days on an occasion or 2. 3) I purchased the groupon with the thought that these sessions would be available at a new spa off Harwin. I later learned this new store may not ever open. I eventually contacted the owner and she explained the issue – I was fine. 4) I made it clear on 1÷24÷12 that the only days I could do the treatments were Wednesdays after 5:30 pm(d/t my job and the issue with travelling north on 59 towards downtown during rush hour) and Fridays between 10 am to 12 pm(but on 1÷30÷12 I stated in an email that 11am is the best time for Fridays) 5) In an email to the owner on 2÷12÷12 I expressed my frustration about not getting any response for weeks, so she said she’d have an employee contact me. The process of trying to schedule was understandably delayed some because they moved their establishment from Haskin to Post Oak towards the end of January. 6) Nearly 2 weeks later, no contact so I emailed the owner again(2÷24÷12 to be exact). 7) I finally get a response on 2÷25÷12 with suggested bookings that included a Saturday and some Wednesdays at 6pm – they stated that if I was running late on Wednesdays I could call ahead to let them know and wouldn’t get cancelled. 7) I responded on 2÷26÷12 and reminded them Saturdays weren’t an option and said for the Wednesday appointments I’d call if I’m running late. I also stated that I had to schedule an appointment to get my wisdom teeth pulled on one of the Fridays and requested either an earlier appointment or a different day(3÷7÷12 to be exact) 8) On 2÷27÷12 I get the following email: «These are the times we have available. If you would like to wait until May to start your sessions them we may be able to meet all of your criteria.» 9) Over the next day or so a couple emails are sent/received and on 2÷27÷12 I asked for a final confirmation of all appointments, just to make sure all was ok. 10) A week goes by and I hear nothing, so on 3÷5÷12 I email again and ask for a confirmation. 11) Shortly after I get an email confirming SIX appointments, not the EIGHT I had purchased. Additionally, now the start date was 3÷7÷12 with a couple more times moved closer to 11 am on Fridays(refer to numbers 7 and 8 above). 12) Shortly after #11 above, I emailed back asking what happened to 3 of the dates I had been told were available(and had agreed to book). I asked to be scheduled for those dates so I could get my EIGHT sessions. I also emailed the owner once again, forwarding the emails I have been sending/receiving to/from her staff(requesting she check them out, paying attention to the delays in responses as well as dates changing, and such) and expressed my frustration with this process that had been going on since January and«it still isn’t right» 13) On 3÷6÷12 I get the following email: «Dennis is seems like this scheduling is not to your satisfaction again. You were sent a copy of the appointments that were schedulied yesterday… Please go back to groupon and get a refund as we can not accomodate your schedule or requests.» 14) Shortly after I emailed the owner to ask if this was her decision. I received no response. Edit: I looked at my Groupon account and discovered that I purchased this particular Groupon on 11÷29÷11, so I likely started my communication with them in 2011, but like I said I didn’t save anything until January(1÷19÷12 to be exact).

Found them on Groupon. Bought 4 sessions. Here’s my story: First session: met one of their technicians who had just started working there for 2 weeks and it was going great, til she didn’t move the machine on my belly and it burned the hell out of me. I constantly kept having to ask her to put more lotion because clearly my tummy is red and I would need more lotion just in case you burnt me. Came home and had a bruise a couple of days later. The groupon started ‘No bruises…” But when I came there, they handed me a piece of paper that said, «may cause bruises…» False advertisement. ding ding! Second session: Came in on time. Met with another technician who just started working there for 2 weeks also. She keeps talking on and on about her life and when she’s talking, she would stop working on my tummy and just start blabbing instead of working on me. She then ends my session at 30 minutes when it was supposed to be an hr. I didn’t realize the time til I got to my car and noticed it was only 30 minutes. She probably wanted to leave and go home early, because she kept talking about her kids and how she had a meeting to go to after my session. I didn’t even bother to go the rest of my sessions. It wasn’t even worth it, and I didn’t even lose any inches. It was entirely all false advertisements with this company. Overall, inexperienced technicians. False advertisements. Unsatisfactory. I believe this company is a scam and just wants your money and run. If I were you, I’d ask for a refund back from Groupon. That’s what I did! Not worth it at all! On a side note, I also don’t understand how allllll of the reviews for this company is being filtered. It’s like a trick. they probably wrote to Unilocal therefore, all of their bad comments are being filtered, and they won’t have any reviews for people to read and think it’s a legit company. The ones with 5 stars are probably all scams from the company making fake accounts. Be sure to read the filtered comments, folks! It’s all hidden in there!

Update: I emailed earlier today about the new machines… I was told oh they have had them! All I can is I am extremely disappointed. It even makes me question whether I will use groupon in the future. Original: So far, I have been very disappointed with this business. Their customer service is terrible and the business practices are well… far from experienced. I am very concerned because I just read a review that said they did get new machines in to accommodate the groupon buyers. However, when I emailed and asked this morning what happened to all the new appointments, they said they still had not gotten the machines and were not sure. Frankly, this business seems to be run by a complete amatuer? Seriously, all I want is a direct answer not«oh were sorry, we dont know that success can kill a business!» I will hold on to my groupon to see if my experience at the spa is any better. I am just very disappointed because I thought wow, a great priced luxury spa… luxury also requires service. Otherwise your just peddling expensive stuff.
