The meals are tasty, but def expensive. My real problem is with the people that work here. Seriously, wtf is wrong with them? Steroids are a hell of a drug and it looks like they’ve gone to their brains. If I wanted to be screamed at as soon as I walk in the door and badgered with questions I’d visit my mother in law. Snap Kitchen across the street just gained a new customer thanks to my experience at my fit foods today. Basically the same stuff over there, but a much more pleasant experience. Get rid of the psychos working at my fit and I’d gladly go back.

I love 9 out of the 10 entrees here. I just love the convenience of having healthy quick meal options that are convenient and just pop in the microwave for a few minutes. Also have the option to freeze and eat later which I tend to do. Each meal roughly costs $ 7 – 10 which can be a little pricey when compared to frozen foods but each meal contains low calories and protein needed for an ideal breakfast/lunch/dinner. I like the bbq chicken. The enchiladas are good but its minimal sauce so its a little dry. They also sometimes offer you a free meal to try. All the employees there are very knowledgeable with the products they sell as well as what you need to reach your goal.

This review is based off of the last two-three meals I’ve had there. I used to be all for this My Fit Foods location. I always thought it was little more than I wanted to spend per meal because I should be bringing food home to save money, but if you’re eating out the prices are actually average or slightly better depending on where you grab lunch. They’re usually no more than $ 7 a meal. The quality of the food has really gone down in my opinion since it first opened. I used to grab food here all the time for me and my boyfriend because sometimes I’m super busy and have no time to cook or go to the grocery store. I stopped going for a few months because I had a little more time and was able to stock up on food regularly at the grocery store, but now I’m back to a busy schedule and have been going back by and been really, really disappointed with the food quality. I used to get the same meals too, so I know it’s not because I’m trying something new. Eh, i don’t think I’ll be back. Chewy turkey meatloaf is not my ideal choice for a quick lunch. Healthy or not.

First off, I’m not eating their food to lose a bunch of weight like a lot of reviewers(i.e. the 21 Day Challenge) I chose to try this place because I hate cooking but also hate eating out constantly– it’s expensive and unhealthy. Having found this cool little business of prepackaged, portion-appropriate, low caloric and low sugar meals has been AMAZING. When it’s late at night and I know getting pad thai or pizza is a bad idea, I can count on a delicious, low cost & healthy meal from MFF(especially after 9pm at my HEB). Their breakfast is amazing, too. If you’re single and hate cooking, or want to bring your lunch to work, or want a better late-night option JUSTTRY it and grab whatever appeals to you– you don’t have to do the whole«21 day» b.s. to reap the benefits of a fast, cheap, delicious, healthy meal! I have no idea why I waited so long– wish I had given them a shot over a year ago when I first moved here. I’d probably weigh 5 – 10 lbs less(if you take into account all the Taco Bell nights & frozen pizzas)

I’ve been eating My Fit Foods for almost 6 years now. I have to say, it’s a great way to eat healthy whether you want to lose or maintain weight. The meals are flavorful and filling. There’s no feeling bloaty after eating. It’s convenient and easy. The meals are made fresh everyday not frozen like other places. I eat it for lunch everyday. It just makes good sense. i would recommend My Fit Foods to anyone.

I did the 21 day challenge, and lost 13 lbs. Not too shabby. I have been eating My Fit Foods for the last couple of years, and am very familiar with all of their meals, so I already knew what I liked and didn’t care for at all. The plan is designed by someone in house,(my person was Irvin De La Cruz) who was really great. I was already sold on the idea, so really our consultation involved him telling me what was going to take place, walking me through the process, and providing me with honest expectations, which I appreciated. Coffee, alcohol, and sugar were out. Cardio, and more exercise was in. I had already been on a recent health kick, so I didn’t expect to do this for 21 days and lose 50 lbs. Average weight loss is anywhere between 8 – 15 lbs. I already work out with 4 – 5 times a week, so as long as you go into it with HONEST expectations you’ll be fine. I am an avid coffee drinker, and I love my wine, so those were big. I cheated on about day 10 with alcohol, girls night out, but didn’t over indulge, and I also had a bit of dark chocolate every now and then. Also, you get ONE cheat meal a week which helped, being that I love my Sunday brunches, and usually have a lot of client/friends nights out, which I tried to rearrange my schedule where I wouldn’t. The food was good, there were things I really really liked, like the steak tacos, and the enchiladas, along with the snacks which gave me energy. I also liked the kale and sausage breakfast, and a lot of the chicken dishes. Meals were all under 300 calories, and 95% were gluten free, which I believed really changed and helped my body. I could immediately within the first week feel a difference. I think it was the gluten, but I could be wrong. I felt lighter, had more energy, and found it easier to concentrate in the afternoon at work. Within the first 10 days, I was running longer, and cardio was easier. Granted I didn’t follow the 21 day to the T, but I learned a lot from it. Portion control was #1, which I really thought my body needed more to sustain, but I found out I was mistaken. My stomach no longer craved grease, or sugar for the most part, and I drank a FULL glass of water before each meal. It was a great too to help me balance carbs and protein. Irvin was great, he checked in with me to make sure I was on track, and provided extra boots of help throughout the process. Of course, this isn’t a miracle cure for bad habits, but it was just the kick in the ass I needed to start really examining what exactly was going into my body, and think about the choices I was making. It is SUPER convenient for someone like me who only has to cook for one, and throws a TON of food away when I cook, and the food is good. Meals I didn’t like were the granola bake(breakfast) and the chicken parm(no thanks!) but 90% of the meals I did like. All in all, if you need that extra push, its a great gut check, and in my opinion well worth the money.

As much as I want to leave a glowing review for a job well done, and I really appreciate the attempt at a health conscious eatery. I am not a fan of My Fit Foods. The few times I have attempted to eat there(I am rarely a one and done kind of guy unless it’s a special case) the food always had a bland, cardboard-esk flavor. That being said, it is far superior nutritionally to say McDonalds or the likes so a MUCH better choice on the go if options are limited. To end on a positive note, for a healthyish meal it is inexpensive which seems to be a hard to find commodity these days.

This is more of a review of the 21 day food challenge, as opposed to the store front itself: I decided to try the 21 day food challenge that advertises that you can lose an average of 8 to 15 lbs in 3 wks. I was really excited to do this challenge and see the weight just melt off. I stuck to my plan and exercised as advised. Week one: things are great! I lost 5 lbs, some of which is probably water weight. The food is easy to prepare and tastes good, even though towards the end of the week, my tongue was on fire with all the spices they use. Week two: began great! I lost another 2 lbs. Again the food is easy to prepare but I became very disinterested in the food towards the end of the week because it all tasted the same, and there was way too much pepper and spices for my taste. My stomach started hurting almost daily because of all the spices and I began craving sweets more intensely than I can remember ever having done before. Week three: not so good. I didn’t lose any weight, and I was so disinterested by the food that I wouldn’t eat or wouldn’t eat all of it. I actually started to become depressed and decided to stop three days shy of the 21 days. Pros: Portion sizes are great. You hardly ever feel hungry. Food waiting for you when you get there to pick up. Staff is friendly and helpful. Cons: You don’t get to pick what you eat and when. Despite giving a list of likes and dislikes, the things I didn’t like were on the menu more often than the things that I did. Again, all the food began to taste the same after the first week– I felt like I was eating a pepper mill. And because I was not really active in my meal planning, at the end of my food challenge, I felt at a bit of a loss as to how to continue with the same kind of weigh loss system, albeit with less pepper. My nutritionist also left the company soon after my initial consultation, so I had no one to direct my questions with regards to the program. My biggest complaint is the price of the food. Despite declining the supplements, I was given a 30 day supply during my initial pick up– Again, I was not part of the planning process and the food was packed for me without my seeing what was in the bags. I spent more than $ 500 for 18 days worth of food, which is more than my monthly grocery budget for myself and my daughter. I don’t believe that losing 7 – 8 lbs is satisfactory for the amount of money put in. Don’t get me wrong, I am happy the weight is off, and intend to keep it off, but I do question the prices of the food, some of which, though fresh, is not organic. Would I do it again? I might, on occasion, do the 3 day food challenge, as you have more say as to what you eat and the challenge ends before you get tired of the food. However, overall, I would probably advise against the 21 day food challenge. Hope this helps you, guys!

My Fit Foods serves as a great training in portion control and in balancing proteins, carbs, and fats. It almost reminds me of Nutrisystem except that most entrees come with their own vegetables. and that the food is fresh rather than canned, which translates to lower sodium intake. Keeping in mind that the taste of the healthier versions of most food items simply beats having to forgo those items completely, I find the taste of most My Fit Foods meals to be quite good. Yes, they are a bit on the expensive side, but most all healthy foods are, and we humans tend to take more seriously the things we pay more for. My only complaint about My Fit Foods is the lack of variety. While they do carry a lot of choices, when we have them three times daily, the choices become somewhat redundant and monotonous quickly. Also, for those of us who don’t care for onions, the choices are even more limited. Many of the meals are absolutely LOADED with raw onions! I mean so loaded that one would be up all night trying to pick them off. I’d really like to try their Fit Mac, but it is chock full of raw onions.

love my fits foods. get some every week. I have lost 10 lbs eating there for the past 3 weeks. i like the turkey dishes the most. esp the turkey pasta and meatloaf. the turkey is nicely seasoned with a kick of spice to it. it gets very busy there on mondays. last week i went there at 7 pm and nearly everything was gone, even through they cook everything at this location. service is always good. i think the employees like to work there. parking is not a problem at this location. there are reserved spaces right in front and others can be found without a problem even though it is a busy shopping center.

I may be crazy, but I am completely fed up with the invasion of personal space that seems to be an integral facet of My Fit Foods’ business plan. On my last visit to MFF, I was asked 3 times in less than 2 minutes if I needed help finding anything. It seems that this type of absurd behavior happens every time I need to run in and grab a quick meal(at least 2x a week). I’m always perplexed about how to respond. Given the fact that I am neither blind nor illiterate, I am perfectly capable of navigating my way through the very small freezer section full of well-labeled food. What could I possibly need help with? I often get sick of warding off the«vulture» staff while I am browsing meals and I just grab something for dinner, even though I need a few meals for the week. When I pay, I am always further annoyed when I am followed out ot my car. This is a complete intrusion of my personal space and I do NOT want it to happen anymore!!!

Disclaimer: This review also replies to the S. Shepherd location, which i also frequent. This place is great! I love the convenience of having all your meals cooked and the food is good considering the fact that it’s low calorie and balanced. I do Weight Watchers also and they have a large selection of dishes that have reasonable points plus values. If you are doing WW they also have the points already calculated on a spreadsheet, which was very convenient! The employees are also really friendly(for the most part, I have run into a few of the girls that work there that aren’t as nice). My favorite dishes so far are: –Htwon Breakfast(eat this every day and it never gets old!)(4ptsplus) –Lean Lemon Turkey(so good!!)(7ptsplus) –Fit Mac and Cheese — no onions(only available with no onions @ S. Shepherd location)(7ptsplus) –Blazin’ Cajun Shrimp(6 ptsplus) –Ninja Tenderloin(6ptsplus — I think) Did not care for: –Hawaiian chicken(8 ptsplus) It can be expensive, but when I compare to how much I spend on groceries at Kroger and eating lunches out, it came out about even to buy all my meals for the weekdays from MFF. The convenience of not having to cook anything or make my lunches is worth a ton to me as well. My only complaint is that at the Memorial location they are always trying to push supplements on you when you check out, that’s annoying.

The«Memorial Park» store is my favorite of all the My Fit Foods locations. It seems that there’s more variety to choose from, the place is roomier, people are friendly, and you can peek into the window to see them prepare the food. I like that you get some additional discount depending on the pre-paid plan you buy, which comes in handy if you are doing the 21 Day Challenge. For example, if you put $ 500 on your account, you get a 5% discount on your purchases. I do try to avoid the entrees that have whole chunks of chicken breast in it. Something about it doesn’t taste good to me and it all tastes the same. Small entrees are ideal for women and lunches and dinner hover around the 300 calorie mark. If you do the 21 day challenge, the typical woman will consume about 1250 calories a day with the 3 meals and 2 snacks. Tip about the liver cleanse: DON’T drink more water than you’re supposed to with the cleanse. It will make you sick! I’m doing the 21 day challenge now. I like my nutrition consultant(Stephanie M) who checks-in on me and responds in a timely manner. Will report back later with findings!

My Fit Foods. Please enhance your menu! Service is great. Much better than from years ago. Would be more inclined to enhance my rating if the food selection were more diverse. I really value how you contribute to the Houston community.

Service is great, I think the food is tastey! Yes, its expensive. But think about how much you spend anyway on your meals. Are you getting the calculated nutrition, high protein, low carb, and low fat like you should be? I’m pretty lazy about that sometimes and I tend to get in a bad habit when I’m sitting at the office. So, if you can get over the price, here are a list of foods that I think are tasty and worth it! Things I like: Good morning Sunshine Mix and Mash Breakfast Breakfast Taco’s Fit Macaroni Lean Lemon Turkey Chicken Salad Turkey Pasta Chicken Fettucini(ok, not my fav) Chili things I don’t like: any of the pancakes or pizza… tried them allll gross H-town breakfast Chicken Fajitas(its ok, but too many beans)

I wasn’t exactly thrilled about pre-packaged meals at first… I vision cooking healthy Whole Foods-esque meals in my kitchen, but since that never happens I gave in and tried My Fit. I’ve narrowed it down to a couple meals I really like(Atlantic Salmon, beef tenderloin, the oatmeal) that I can grab when I’m too busy to cook. Their staff is really friendly, and the meals are really consistent. They have a healthy mix of carbs like quinuoa and sweet potatoes, meat and some vegetables. I’d relaly love it if they had more vegetables. They have some Pat Greer meals, but those never fill me up, they’re more like salads. Since I’d been eating pretty horribly lately, I decided to try their 21-day challenge of eating their meal plan only. I’m on day 3. Be warned, it is a lot of protein! However, I am feeling really energized and lighter already. If you want to trim a few pounds this is a great way to do it, just be prepared to eat a lot of chicken!

my fit foods gets an A+ for effort and a B– for execution. The concept is great. Healthy(ish), Portion-controled, pre-packaged food. However, the execution leaves a little something to be desired. On week 3 of 21 day challenge and I’m beyond sick of that oddly flavored chicken. I will probably lose another 5 lbs. b/c I just can bring myself to eat the chicken. I started out just occasionally ordering food online for lunches and dinners(which I mainly eat at my desk given that I often work 10 – 12 hour days and my while I have lots of options downtown, they are not portioned controled and way too caloric). I picked what I heard and read was good(chili, green chicken, lemon turkey, etc), placed an order, and popped in to pick it up, usually at off peak times. Easy as pie. then I decided to do the 21 day challenge after 2 friends lost 10 – 15 lbs. I thought the structure would be good for me to reset some bad habits and slim down a bit. I feel great, but have not had the kind of results I’d like.(3 lbs in 2+ weeks, is okay, but not all that impressive). Plus, i’ve been exposed to some of their less popular items. blech! Stay away from anything with Tilapia. the chicken meals(simple chicken, ginger chicken delight, etc etc etc) all taste the same. Whatever seasoning they use on the chicken breast now makes me nauseated because i’ve had so much freakin chicken. however, I will continue to buy the tenderloin dishes(stirfry and ninja), the chili, the green chicken, the lemon turkey, the breakfast tacos, and maybe the salmon for desk lunches etc. Honestly, the best thing I’ve gotten out of all of this is to reset my habits(eat breakfasts and lots of snacks) and now i have TONS of small portion appropriate containers so that I can make meals that actually taste good and freeze them or bring them to the office. Maybe one day I’ll lose the extra 10 lbs. that I didn’t lose in the challenge. P. S. The customer service at the Houston Ave store location is less than impressive.

Was given a taste of their food from my boss. I was impressed. I went to this location on a Monday afternoon and it was busy but not over the top. While I was greeted by a person he didn’t go out of his way to help me, rec’d a phone call on his cell while I was asking him questions and proceeded to answer it. He did get someone else to help me though… The personal trainer I met was very bright and friendly… the overall vibe is laid back and fresh. After his phone call he helped me select a few things and suggested some as well. But not in a «sales-y» sort of way. That’s always a nice touch. The food(which you are most curious about I’m sure) is great for what it is. Its healthy, quick and fresh. People will complain about the price but for what you get I think its decent. The food is what sold me on this place but I won’t buy all my meals here. I like variety to come from all places and I don’t think I am interested in spending my $ all in one place when it comes to food. Plus, the thing it lacks is fresh greens. The chili is great as is the lean lemon turkey. All is satisfying. This will become a staple for me when I don’t have time to sit down, I want healthier options or for lunches at work a few times a week. Check it out. UPDATE since I’ve tried some new stuff: Snack bars are definately not my taste. Chicken fajitas are egh. Go to Chuy’s, don’t add much cheese or sour cream and you’ll be okay for the one time in months you have fajitas… But I do appreciate the effort. Turkey meatloaf is great, cooks up wonderful and plentiful(even though its the small serving) H Town Breakfast is great and I’m not an «egg» person. I was told to get the bacon crispy, remove it from tray and place on top of container and cook w/other items. Pretty certain if its turkey here, its gonna be great.

I stumbled upon this establishment after I went to a place nearby to wait out Houston traffic. It was about 6 pm and there seemed to be alot of people flocking to this place. Not knowing what to expect, I was surprised to find out that they served take out food in reusable microwavable containers that were stored in 4 refrigerators. I decided to pick up a small salmon with vegetables and a medium Denyse’s Killuh Chili. Total cost came up to be around 15 dollars. There were microwaves in the store to cook the food but most of the tables at the time were occupied. Took the food home and nuked em. Salmon was a little bland but the chili was quite tasty. Overall, I think it was OK but I don’t think I’m a fan just yet.
