Like most avid resale shoppers, I’ve been selfishly hesitant to post, wanting to keep the finds at Mustard Seed Resale all to myself, but the staff is great(especially Gina!) and their reason for being even greater, so I’d like to share the wealth. Over the years, I’ve scored some great bargain-priced pieces of furniture, Carnival glass bowls and two vintage typewriters — one an awesome Underwood(complete with a case AND key covers!) Might not seem like a find to some, but as a writer, I thought I’d won the lottery. Stopped by this week to find they’re having a 50% off sale on select items. A ceramic bunny made it’s way to my car but I was tempted to add a pair of upholstered cherry dining chairs($ 27.50 each! — like new!) and a coffee table($ 35!)(the kind you don’t mind propping your feet on!) that begged for a new chalk finish. The place is small but definitely worth a browse as they’re bringing in truckloads of estate sale finds just about every month. Check our their Facebook page( ) for daily posts with great pics of what just hit the shelves.

I love this little shop. It is clean and well lit and all the people there have been very kind and obliging, helping me bring things to my car and so forth. Some of the prices can be high but I can afford most of the smaller items if I wait till the prices go down. They have clothing, home goods, and furniture. I have bought art here and a great set of China. I have also scored a couple of nice articles of clothing. Don’t be in a hurry if you stop by, the people who work here take there time and so should you there is a lot to see. Just one girl’s opinion. Happy thrifting!

The Mustard Seed is worth visiting and looking around. I have bought many things from there including a 2 dining room tables, chairs, lawn chairs, clothes, purses, skates and much more. It’s not a thrift store and so they usually only have things of quality and you can buy it then or risk it and wait for the prices to go down, but be warned it may not be there–

Great local business with great value. They excel in home furnishings more than clothing, but I can always find amazing things here. They also have a great system where after a certain number of weeks prices are set to go down. If you have your eye on something special, it rewards repeat visits. Apart from their items, they serve a great cause, with all their proceeds helping the mentally ill and homeless.

Not much here. Gorgeous building but it was almost awkward to shop here, it’s almost all men but I guess for the neighborhood it makes sense. Made me feel like it wasn’t a resale shop. The secondary building was hardly necessary. Very out dated clothing for 60 year old+. Parking is behind the building and is fenced in but during hours the gates are open for public parking.

Great resale shop and consignment shop in Midtown that’s helping at-risk individuals develop skills through retail. The selection is nice with clothing & home décor. As with any thrift shop taking time to look results in great pieces while supporting a great cause. Definitely will be returning.
