Extremely deceitful and unapologetic. We had a miscommunication regarding what was covered and, rather than even *admit* it was a miscommunication and attempt to make amends somehow, they kept insisting to what was in their contract.
Something to note: They are doing the work in their statement. And what I requested was in a phone call. But what is aggravating is the blatant refusal to even admit a slight miscommunication or make amends in any way, shape, or form.

i had the kitchen completely done wallpaper removal, textured, ceilings and cabinets inside and out also the formal dining room, entryway stairwell, master bedroom and master bathroom cabinets done all at one time it was alot of work but the men at mendozas worked extremely fast all completed in 5 days amazing results they kept my house clean with no overspray anywhere and cleaned up completely prior to leaving everyday very professional company to deal with will be calling them back for the upstairs

OVERVIEW: I am so happy with the work I had done by Mendoza’s Paint and Remodeling. I had repairs done to pealing ceiling paint, old damage from Hurricane Ike. It’s an open ceiling, where the living room, kitchen, and breakfast area are all connected. The damage was in sporadic locations throughout, and the major repairs were done to just those areas, but the end result is seamless and beautiful!
SCHEDULING: I called to get an estimate, and Jenny was able to come out within the next day or so. She texted me an estimate I believe the next day. If you prefer a phone call or email for this sort of thing, I’m sure that would be no problem at all. I’d heard of MPR through my neighbor. They had the same kind of damage in their house (plus they had their walls repainted), and I was impressed with the results of the work done. Both of us were given great price quotes. I lucked out, and Jenny was able to squeeze my job in the next day (a Saturday)!
WORK DAY: I was expecting a larger crew, but Ricardo came in and handled the job by himself. He covered whatever large furniture pieces were still in the room and put a drop cloth down. I thought the whole ceiling would need to be scraped, sanded, retextured, and repainted in order for it to look seamless, but Ricardo was able to repair just the areas where there was damage, and then repainted the entire ceiling.
PROBLEMS: We had a glitch, which is understandable. But let me say that MPR handled this issue with such remarkable customer service, and that is why they deserved 5-​stars… When Ricardo was finished, I looked over everything and was happy with the results. I paid him (with a personal check), and he left. But ten minutes or so later, I noticed that the texture in the repaired areas was actually too pronounced and didn’t match up enough with the existing area. It bugged me; and I knew my eye would always be drawn to the repair areas. So, I called Jenny immediately and texted her some photos. Ricardo came right back! There was no huff and puff, no questioning or making me feel like I had to just live with it. Jenny explained to me that the repairs would not be 100% seamless since it wasn’t the full ceiling being retextured. But after trying a couple of different techniques to match up the texture, and asking how I felt about the test areas before continuing, Ricardo got it spot on! I also asked him to remove the light fixture this time, as some paint had gotten on it and it interfered with the texture application the first time around. And now my ceiling looks absolutely amazing! When I tried to offer to pay a little more for him coming back to redo it (since I realized it wasn’t necessarily realistic for me to expect the whole ceiling to look 100% seamless), Ricardo refused the extra payment. How’s that for standing by your work?!
POST: It’s been a few weeks since the job was done. I still say, «Wow» when I look up and see how fantastic my ceiling looks– just like the builder did it. I wouldn’t hesitate to go with Mendoza’s Paint and Remodeling again!

Competitive pricing and work completed on schedule. I had my cabinets re-​painted, they came in much cheaper than other contractors I had contacted and the work looks fantastic. They are now my go-​to painting company for any future work. I would highly recommend.
