Medical Center Ear Nose & Throat Associates of Houston, PA

Repeated face pain and a headache caused me to take to the internet to find someone to see me ASAP. A random search landed on Med Center ENT. I called on Monday. Got an appointment for Wednesday and had surgery that Friday.
Dr. Kaplan is the absolute bomb. A sharp dresser to boot, he was straight forward and to the point — YES. Having had a sinus infection in August, continuing into September and a relapse in October, I was ready for a cure and immediate healing. His office staff made immediate calls to my insurance company and got approval.
His nurse, Damia (think that’s how it’s spelled) was so sweet and personable. Very professional. On the day of surgery they let my son come in until it was time to begin and that was cool. Dr. Kaplan called me on Saturday to see how I was and instructed me on what to do from that point forward. I was totally shocked by that kind of bedside manner. AWESOME!
From my bill to my follow-​up care and the entire check out process, everything was top-​notch and handled with such professionalism. Dr. Kaplan, you are a life saver and my sinus hero. Today I am breathing so easily, no pain, no congestion.

The office staff has always been welcoming and competent. Dr. Sarah Cooper was excellent at determining the cause for my recurrent sinus infections, and eventually recommended a tonsillectomy, which I had been trying to get done for several years after an illness left my tonsils extremely enlarged, blocking a significant portion of my airway. She and her staff worked with the insurance. The surgery went well, and healing appears to be doing fine. I will be staying with this doctor to manage some related conditions, because I was so pleased with my experience with her.

I came to visit Dr. Cooper after seeing great reviews from her on multiple website sources. The office is very convenient for me so I was excited to make a visit. I have been having hearing problems where I can’t hear conversations well even when they are sitting across from me. I came in to a beautiful office and it was huge! Everyone was so friendly, and after I saw Dr. Cooper for a little bit, she sent me to the audiologist to get tested on for my hearing. That took awhile, and finally I hear the news that nothing is wrong with me. My hearing tested as normal and they were pretty much done with me. I mean I’m very fortunate that I am healthy, but I am still having hearing problems… I continually ask Dr. Cooper for advice and what can I do further to further investigate my problem. She tells me simple solutions like, «stop multi tasking» or «try to focus more». Its like those solutions are so evident to me so of course I do those already. I wish she could have been more sincere and compassionate where she would believe me and try to look into something further. Of course, the audiologist wanted to refer me out to a neurologist, but she also said that it could be very costly and uncertain that that would solve my problems. Maybe in this situation I didn’t have a lot of solutions, but I truly wish there was more compassion towards my situation. Hearing is a crucial thing and thats why I came to a specialist…

Let me say this. At first the ladies in the front were intimidating. But after you come in a second time they are very sweet and nice. They are funny and might i add some very attractive nurses. My doctor was cool and did the right protocols. I like when he would clean my ears although a little uncomfortable sometimes because of my infection. He was very smart, i am to so we kind of meshed. If i have any more problems i will come here most defiantly it just suck i can’t go there no more because i am fine i want come again really.

Dr. Anoop Ahuja is one of the best doctors I have seen. He truly cares for his patients and understands what they need. He was a phenomenal surgeon, that I would recommend to anyone!

I’ve been a patient for over 8 years now. My original doctor has since moved to Utah, however, my new physician, Dr. Ahuja, has continued to provide me with top level service I expect from a specialist. The staff is fantastic and it’s a great office to go to for your ENT needs.

WOW, Emily V’s review seems a bit harsh. I personally go to a Dr. for the quality of care the doctor can provide to me, not the «help» at the front desk… Although I have never had an issue with the help at the front desk, and I have been a patient of Dr. Kaplans for five LOYAL years! I personally think this practice is phenomenal. I unfortunately have had a rough few years for ENT stuff (strep, bronchitis, several bacterial infections, etc) and Dr. Kaplan has always been a fantastic doctor to me. His staff will squeeze me in when I call in sick, which is greatly appreciated. Doctor Kaplan is thorough, explains the diagnosis in terms I understand, and most of all he is a kind and caring doctor. If you are looking for a quality doctor who cares, then I highly recommend Medical Center Ear Nose & Throat.

The place is great ask for Lindsay if you have problems she’s amazing and will take care of EVERYTHING. Yuri is a great ENT always responsive.

This was potentially the most unprofessional office I have ever been to. I arrived at 8:45 for my 9am appointment. The two women running the front desk seemed very flustered. Moreover, they were screaming questions to patients across the waiting room and yelling out personal information so everyone in the waiting room could hear. Both women had trouble verifying insurance for patients; I know it was not just for me because I could overhear every other conversation they had in the waiting room. In addition, the women were loudly complaining about insurance companies in front of all of us. Lastly, we all had to listen to one of the women complain about her boyfriend and a recent phone conversation they had. I could not believe how unprofessional the front office was, and I almost left as a result.
Outside of the waiting room, I waited over an hour for my appointment. The actual doctor’s personal waiting room is bland, and they don’t even play music or anything. Dr. Yuri Gelfand seemed nice enough, but there is no way I would ever go back to this office again. The level of confusion and unprofessionalism is astounding.
