I have used Marcello’s on several occasions. He is the only tailor I would ever go to in Houston. He altered a red carpet Romona Keveza gown for me that was 4 sizes too big, (redid all of the boning in the corset), he dropped the waistline in a Monique Lhullier ball gown that was too short for me and most recently painstakingly hemmed many many many layers of tulle and altered the veil of my Galia Lahav wedding dress– in two days!!! I would never go to anyone else.

After a month of waiting for them to call me and tell me the dress was ready, I finally called them and they said it had been ready for weeks. When I showed up to pick it up they were not courteous, acting like I was wasting their time wanting to try it on before I paid.
It was brought in to let it out a couple inches, it ended up a full size too big. I wanted to ask them to take it back in but I knew they wouldn’t have it done in time for my event. The bill to take a dress out just a couple of inches was $ 86! That’s almost what I paid for the dress in the first place.
Definitely won’t be back.
