Macy’s

Slow service. Only one person works in the watch/​jewelry area, and no one else in the entire store can help in return of a watch. Skip this store!

The reviews I’ve read are so bad. But I haven’t had any negative experiences here yet.
This is not the usual Macy’s I shop at. I come here only when I’m visiting my family on this side of town. I can easily park, get in, & get out without any issues or long waits. The few times I have been here, I have found great items for great deals. The staff that I have encountered are always helpful & pleasant, so I don’t mind shopping here. It is attached to a not so hot mall, but you don’t even have to enter the mall to shop here. Finally, it’s not as large as the one I usually shop at (Galleria location), but you don’t have to deal with the chaotic Galleria traffic.

I went there yesterday because I (unfortunately) work in the area and I thought I could pick up some pillows and other bedding quickly. I don’t necessarily care for Macy’s but this one is relatively convenient. First of all, the store was basically empty when I got there around 1:00. No customers — no employees. I wandered around until I found the right department, picked out some pillows and things, and then started the search for someone to check me out. I did find someone but I had to ask her if she check me out because she certainly didn’t offer when I walked up to the counter. She just sort of stood there with a blank stare. After buying those items I walked over to the men’s department. What a hodge-​podge of cheap brands and ugly clothes. Wow. Even the Lacoste and other «upscale» brands were so poorly displayed that you couldn’t tell what they had. There is absolutely NO merchandizing in that store. I saw a couple of people just lurking around. I wouldn’t call them «customers». Macy’s needs to shut that store. It’s a disgrace to their brand.

I wish there was an option to give negative stars! The staff is so unfriendly and condescending! They had an item priced for one thing on the rack and the price was higher when we checked out. We showed them the price and they told us that it was a mistake and said they would not honor it. They came up with excuse after excuse, even calling over a staff person for a ‘he-​said-​she-​said’ battle. But we stood firm along with the 3 other people line behind us who got the same item, and we were eventually accomodated (after about an hour of discussions with managers). Our simple request was that the store honor the price they had listed, but they were reluctant to do so. They were extremely unprofessional.

This store is small. the selections sucks and the mall that its located in is terrible. I wouldn’t advise anyone to go there if they hate their cars. They have a high volume of break ins. staff not so friendly
