All you can eat… not can you eat all. I struggle with this idea. Because who the hell wants to eat all this mediocre food? I get it. Reasonable price and an understood unlimited amount of seconds, thirds… etc. Chinese buffets are going to be there for balling on a budget. If I wanted some lo mein and a side of macaroni or perhaps an egg role to complement the General Tsao’s chicken. I guess if I were in a bind or really felt like ruining myself. Though, there are much better buffets in Houston. Lucky Village runs at this point because it has been here in our neighborhood for such a long time. It is an institution for the hungry ballers on a budget. Hibachi Buffet has given them a run for their money as it is a more competitive and dynamic buffet(cooking your food right in front of you in this case). I mean I’m already fat… its like pigs at the trough sometimes here and I’m Babe. o_O

As much I wanted to be there for my relative the food was not as good. So it made the experience quite disappointing. Don’t get me wrong I always have fun with family but the Overcooked, bland and greasy food was not fun at all. There were two things that was quite edible and delicous and those were the bread & shrimp. therefore, the $ 10 you pay for the buffet is average price but not worth it. Sorry I had better.

Sooo… don’t get me wrong. I like buffets, but I realize not all buffets are run equally. This buffet is okay… Service to get things are okay, and they’re pretty helpful clearing plates and giving you your check… If it weren’t for the fact that my family is Asian and my parents especially believe getting more food is more important than getting better food, these places would need to reinvent themselves. As it stands, buffet places like this will not improve. Several of the dishes were very greasy, several others were oversauced, and other dishes were not sufficiently heated, so they were cold. If you’re looking for a «typical» buffet for an okay price, then stop here. If not, keep searching

Apparently the building Ryan’ steakhouse used to be is now a Lucky Village. I was passing by and thought how bad could it be? The sushi rice was soggy and all attempts at Vietnamese food was laughable. I should have eaten their pizza. The only Lucky thing in this case is not being dumb enough to try the seafood. Nothing was fresh, or flavorful. They had three edible dishes, meaning it was warm… I expect to be ill soon… pass on this place.

Lucky Village has okay to average food. Its not amazing, but its a $ 10 buffet, which is expected to be just average. The food selection includes vermicelli bowls, sushi, as wells as traditional Chinese buffet staples like hot and sour soup and fried rice. I have not had a problem with cleanliness or service on any of the times I have visited Lucky Village.

My whole family used to eat here several times a year on special occassions. We decided to go for a weekday birthday celebration. The place was slow, half had the lights turned off. Hostess/Waitress was rude, wanted to seat 7 of us far in the back instead of pulling over another table. Worse part was, it was obvious the food was very old(probably days old), and the food was not warm(lowering the steam table temp lets them keep the food longer, but is a health code violation). 2 members of our party got sick after, one went to doctor. TIMEFOR A HEALTHINSPECTORVISIT! We got ripped off, should have been a discount for EATINGLEFTOVERS. Never going back, not even on busy weekends. Too many other better choices.

I went to Lucky Village last night and I really enjoyed it. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. I like a lot of variety so their huge selection was great. That had typical buffet food and non typical buffet food like phở, fried corn and some other chicken dishes I can’t remember the names of. My waitress was friendly and attentive and I can’t think of anything to complain about. Unless you’re at a fancy $ 25+ buffet, this is really as good as it gets.

Weekday lunch buffet $ 8.29. They are offering buy 2 lunch buffets and 2 drinks, get one buffet half off. What a steal… too bad I didn’t know that otherwise I would have ordered myself a drink. It was my first time at this location, and I honestly haven’t eaten at Lucky Village in a few years. They actually had a large assortment of items. It was interesting to see that they had bowls of noodles. Looked like vermicelli and then some broth to go with it. I didn’t try it though. I really try not to eat sushi at a Chinese buffet but hell with the economy today, I don’t get to eat much sushi anymore. :(So I snagged me up some salmon sashimi. The taste was kinda bland but it was still decent. I didn’t get sick from it, so that’s a plus! As far as the rest of the buffet… I didn’t venture out too much on it. But it’s definitely a whole lot better than Wok Bo. Ugh! I don’t ever want to be reminded of that place.

My favorite Oriental buffet in Houston, they are a chain but some are better than others. The one on Dairy Ashford has absolutely the best sushi bar, a HUGE variety of hot and cold dishes, very nice salad bar and good selection of desserts and even ice cream. If you have a lot of hungry mouths to feed, or have the munchies, you can’t go wrong here. You’d spend 3 times the money at any other sushi restaurant.

Decent food — wide veriety — sporadic service — reasonable priced and very clean!!! Food looks and tastes fresh. We usually eat there for lunch at least 2x a month.
