Lucky House Chinese Restaurant

It used to be good few years ago till after they lost a few of their chefs (Asian older guy probably left to his hometown, really cool person) after that everything went downhill, food tasted bad, rats crawling above ceiling tiles and inside walls… creepy!!!

Well the homeless person that came in said the food was delicious. I would have to disagree with that statement. But if you mix the bananas covered in strawberry sauce with banana pudding it’s not terrible.

Please do NOT come here. We came here at 9 pm and although it was an hour till closing time they told us they we had to been done in a certain amount of time. The food had clearly been sitting out for quite some time. Unfortunately they do not have a variety of food. We actually stopped eating in left for the simple fact that we had limited selections and were clearly under time restraints.

This is not the cleanest of places but the food is okay, the reason I really don’t care to ever go there again is the rude treatment from the staff. They are very indifferent to the customers.

We give it 3 stars. The restaurant is good for lunch. The buffet is nice and today, except the dumplings, quite tasty. A lot of different meat with some vegetables. Only one kind of noodles, which is a surprise, but all tasty. I did not try the desert, but it looked good. It is a buffet, so there is not much of a service necessary. But the two ladies we have seen there, they have been friendly and polite. And 7.49 is hat to beat for each as much as you can. I compare it with the buffet king at SH6. I wrote an review there as well.
So this restaurant is good, no big deal, not too bad. However you would put it. Oh one thing I want to mention. The restrooms looks a bit shabby and here, do not read it girls or ladies, at the mens room the space between the urinal and the washing sink is narrow and the put a metal sheet plate as a divider. I am not a big guy and I barely fit in. And it was not because I ate much :-)

I completely do not recommend this restaurant. The buffet did not seem fresh when we went during the lunch hour.
My friend chose not to order the buffet because of allergies. She ordered some steamed vegetables. They charged her a ridiculous price for the vegetables.
Had I visited the restroom before I had ordered my food I never would’ve stayed there. It was disgusting.
I live near this place yet refuse to eat there.

Good food with a decent selection, though they should probably skip on trying to do «Tex Mex» items like tacos. The dumplings are great, the chicken dishes and rice & noodles are wonderful. As others have noted — they don’t use MSG, and that’s rare in a Chinese buffet. The soup tends to be a bit salty, but otherwise good. Friendliness of waitstaff leaves a lot to be desired, but the price is right for a buffet and they are conveniently located in the neighborhood near popular shopping destinations. Parking can be tricky during peak hours.

I don’t know why i keep going back to this place. My friend has a thing with MSG’s and she says that this place is one of the few Chinese buffets that doesn’t use MSG’s in their food. Its your average Chinese, but I’ve had better.

This is pretty much your standard chinese restaurant. The buffet is two stars. But for better food walk in and place your take out order, DO NOT phone it in. They don’t have moo shu, pity. I’ve been a faithful customer for over six years.
