I was looking forward to this… Things I didn’t like… 1.They didn’t have aguas frescas because they ran out. It was 3pm and they were apparently out of that and meat to make bistec tacos… Or they don’t sell bistec… Wasn’t really Clear. 2. No menu 3. Salsa wasn’t all that good 4. Seating is limited 5. Drinks were hot… 6. Tables and trash cans too close to each other so the flys and smells are close to you. Things I liked… 1. Price. 2. Pastor Tacos were good. 3. Food is quick. I drove 50 minutes to get here… Maybe that’s why I’m disappointed. I expected more. If it was closer to me… I’d go more often… I however will probably never go here again. 3 stars I feel is a fair rating considering my experience. Taco Palenque offers better street tacos and its closer to home.

Real Deal Mexican street style Trompo Taco’s and yes they are VERY good. Ticked off that I only ordered 4. Just order the pork, which is the only thing I witnessed being ordered. I only speak english and every other customer was speaking spanish, but if you watch what is going on it’s very easy.(Heck they really only have 1 thing) So just say a number in spanish and they will go to work on Taco goodness. I am confused why there is a Taco Cabana and a Taco bell within 50 yards. who would go there?! Get outside your comfort zone and eat the real deal…

Omgggg! These are the best authentic tacos i have ever tasted! I seen the line from the highway, which was very long, but i got in line anyways. The smell was amazing! The line moved at a stead pace and the cooks moved in perfect unison. The main meat(pork) that was always being prepared fresh was on a spit and well seasoned. They had chicken and what i believe was beef, but everyone was getting the al pastor on the spit. You order your plate by how many tacos you want. A small sized corn tortilla is one taco and they can fit many on one plate… i had 6 on mine. They even give you real cilantro, lime and sauces which are amazing tasting in plastic sandwich bags to take home. When i ate it… whewwwww! Those tacos were off the chain! Im talking the most wonderful food ever! My picky 2 and 4 year old children even devoured them. We all wanted more, but well just go tomorrow. Lol

Wow just $ 1 for a taco and $ 5 for a quesadilla. These tacos are the best in houston, maybe even the state. You get three choices, salted juicy meat CECINA pork with spices CHORIZO and marinated pork TROMPOORPASTOR. I mean the lines are long of course, but it’s worth the wait. The quesadillas are on point especially the HORCHATALIMEMADEANDTHEJAMAICAWATER. This is just one of the taco places they have and I would go there any day.(there’s 11). There is lots of good reviews from this place you should read them. Oh and don’t get me started about the service here. Don’t forget: CASHONLY! Your out of luck if you only brought your card.

Ok I could eat here every. Single. Day. So flavorful and cheap! I honestly enjoyed these tacos more than most«trendy» new restaurants in the city. It’s just good authentic Mexican eats without the fuss.

$ 1 tacos with intoxicating smell as you walk around the trailer, can’t beat it. Dwelling around here for over 20 years I do not know when this popped up or how long this has been here but I am glad to have found it by the following of some of my Unilocal friends. Because of them and a little help of Unilocal I would probably not have stopped by. I would drive by at times and see a good line and tell myself that food trucks are not worth trying but this one will grab you as it did me. Parking looks innocent, large parking lot but take my advice, make sure you park where you are sure that you will be able to get out because people will park anywhere around you right after you leave, fair warning. As you approach the truck and round the corner you will notice about 6 picnic tables just at the same time as you get a whiff in what you are about to embark on. From the spinning meat on a pole(pastor or trompo?), to the sizzling of the grill in a assembly line manner you can also request a $ 5 quesadilla(they do not skimp on the cheese) as well as your $ 14″ tasty treasure teaser. With your order they will give you two little baggys one each of green salsa and chipolte. Watch out for the green one if you aren’t used to spicy. If you happen to drive past here in the daytime I do not believe you’ll find the truck here since they move it back home every night but I can tell you that 6 pm is probably the best time to get here since I’m sure they are set up and the crowds have not formed yet. This information is curtailed for the weekday nights.

Wow $ 1 for a taco?! How can they survive? Because there is always a long line! The tacos are amazing and so cheap! I feel like there is only 1 meat option, which is the pastor meat.(There is no menu) It’s cooked around a pineapple which juices all over the meat. The quesadilla was my favorite. It’s $ 5, but worth it! So much cheese. You add the cilantro, limes, and onions yourself at the bar. The horchata was also on point. The line moves quick. Cash Only! Highly recommend.

They are okay tacos. Not all that. The beef tacos were good, just needed additional flavor. I love the concept, but I will try different taco stands in the area in the future. Of course you cannot get the best quality when you are only paying $ 1 per taco and in Cypress lol. They failed to give my fiancé salsa, which is a HUGENONO! If the meat is not flavored appropriately, the salsa could make up for it, but I will never know… Nothing compares to the tacos on Edgebrook, though. Chiles toreados, cebolla asada and SALSAS galore.

I’ve been to their other location on 249& veterans and they are definitely good at what they do. We go multiple times a week and buy no less than 12 tacos at a time. They are great and they’re only $ 1, you cannot beat that

Great tacos! The line can get long so be prepared to wait! I would also recommend parking away from the stand because people like to park wherever they want and then it’s almost impossible for you to back out, especially if you have a truck. They have tacos and quesadillas with a few choices of meats, including Chorizo. Get your tacos and sit on the picnic benches or along the stand there’s bar style seating. Grab the squeeze bottles of salsa with a napkin because those were pretty dirty. Overall, yummy no frills street taco stand!

Beef quessadillas for $ 5, totally worth the money. Pleased with free spicy sauce and limes, however the side salad wasn’t really great and didn’t seem fresh either.

Even though these are street tacos, I have to give them five stars and here’s why… They are delicious, fresh, tasty and only $ 1.00 need I say more? Actually yes they don’t have much of a variety but what they have is well worth the wait. Don’t let the line discourage you, they have great assembly line and move to a decent pace. They also have good salsas that come included with your purchase. And it’s all cooked in front of your eyes. Great place to come for the experience and sometimes they have music so you can’t help but to dance while you wait for your delicious mouth watering tacos. Located near a fast traffic area off 249 so be careful if you take your little ones.

As is the way of most traditional taco trucks or stands, this stand does one thing and does it well: trompo. And with Los Meros selling these tasty marinated pork tacos for only $ 1 each, you can’t go wrong. They hand you plates with warm tortillas, trompo, and grilled onions, and you top your tacos with as much lime, salsa, onions and cilantro as you like. The reason for knocking off a star is 2 things: 1) The jamaica(hibiscus) agua fresca was WEAK. And when I’m paying $ 3 for a cup, it better be good. The horchata, on the other hand, was GREAT and well worth the $ 3. 2) The salsas(both red and green are available) didn’t have much flavor — they had good heat, but no real flavor. The menu isn’t large and you can pretty much walk up and see how and what to order, so don’t be intimidated. There were some non-Spanish speaking first timers in line behind us, and the employees were happy to answer their questions, and very friendly overall. Upbeat reggaeton music is blasting and people happily gather over tacos, Mexican Cocas and agua frescas. It’s easy, quick, delicious, cheap and I can sit at a picnic table with my dog. My kind of place, and I’ll be back.

$ 1 tacos for the wind! Come early or wait in line. This taco stand has pretty delicious tacos, quesadillas, and horchata. It’s like an assembly line. There are about 4 workers doing their jobs. Massive amount of meat is cooked at a time. I can understand because of the crowd that sweeps through here every night. I’m not sure what their hours are, but they’re definitely open at night! Unlimited veggies(cilantro, onions, and I think lettuce) are at the end of the line. My horchata was awesome! It’s creamy and not too sweet. The quesadillas are huge, I’m talking about two massive handfuls. I believe it’s packed with the same trompo meat they serve with the tacos. Tacos are a bit small compared to others, but they come loaded with meat and are served on two corn tortillas. It’s not bad for one dollar tacos! Taco sauces are pretty great too. The red sauce is pretty spicy and the green sauce leaves a great mix. That’s if you don’t like your tacos dry. Trompo is pork and they have it winded up on a rotating pole, like how you would see lamb for gyros. My friends and I discovered this place and will continue to eat here when we’re hungry!

This place is on 249 off the side. If you notice you’ll see a line outside of a taco stand and that’s what this is!!! They specialize in trompo which tastes so delicious!!! You’ve got to get it. The meat is spun on a wheel and cooked slowly while a pineapple is juicing it from the top onto the meat. SODELICIOUS. The AWESOME thing about it that it’s $ 1/taco which is super cool. Hit this place up! The service is also fast.

These tacos will blow your freakin’ MIND! They have a variety of meats you can choose from but I always stick to the pork(Most popular option here) the sweetness of the diced pineapples is perfection with the perfectly seasoned pork! I literally come here at least twice a week since it’s so close to home, ever since I discovered this place I refuse to eat any other taco joints!

Sooo I’ve had tacos from this spot numerous times and never thought to check in! They put this cart in a huge parking lot & on the weekends this spot blows up! I mean you’ll see folks in line for this place! You walk up to the cart & all you smell is the fabulouness of freshly grilled onions & meat. The pork is just slowly spinning on the trompo between 2 big chunks of pinapple & it’s just majic. The guy working the flat top moves those onions around while jammin to whatever’s on the radio, while the 2 ladies hook up your order. These guys are always quick w/the orders & so nice. I gladly chunk somethin in their tip jar. I’ve had pretty much all of their meat options, but them dang pastor tacos are BEAST! You can easily scarf down 6 w/o knowing. The pieces of pinapple are perfectly mixed w/the pastor meat & add such a wonderful flavor. The meat is sizzling hot, tender & juicy! Droolin just thinking about them :-) You get a baggie of cilantro & onions, limes & of course that killer green hot sauce. To top off the good service & addictive flavor, the dirt cheap price is the icing on the cake! The ONLY thing that makes these better is an ice cold beer! Look, just get your butts over there & try some of these tacos! You won’t regret it!
