Little Woodrow’s

I’ve come a few times late afternoon/​early evening and enjoyed myself very much. I returned for their steak night and after that experience, I will never ever go there again. I was on the back patio and a married couple (I believe they are the owners because they kept referring this to «My bar», «my establishment» etc. They were rude to me beyond words and bullied me until I left. Worse off, they actually clapped when I walked away. It was all over something I said that they misunderstood and fool the liberty of taking it way out of proportion. Not only will I never return here, but I tell everyone I know how disrespectful and downright hateful some of the staff was there. Nobody deserves to be treated so hatefully.

The parking here is awful. They cannot accommodate many patrons here. My friend and I walked in during shift change and were told to wait while they were sorting things out. Which was cool, we didn’t know what we wanted. While we were waiting, we didn’t notice a place that looked like a kitchen, so we didn’t stay. Not sure how they have «steak night» when they have no kitchen. We left and went to a bar with food.

Really relaxing place! Was here for steak night and didn’t want a baked potato, so a really cute chick (cooking my steak btw) offered me some of her salad. Really mellow crowd, just what I needed!

This place sucks, which sucks because it’s 2 miles from my house. Went here on a Friday and it was a sword fest. The older lady behind the bar acted like she was in the weeds even though there were 6 people total in the bar. She told a guy to get his dog out of the doorway and was super annoying (the dog was a sweetheart and everybody loved her). To top it off she basically ran everybody out of the bar at 1:30. Go somewhere else that has a clue how to run a bar and hire friendly staff.

I love this place! I know I can alway count on having a great time when I stop in. The Bartenders are awesome && I love the crowd. Very laid back chill spot.

Great place. Such a low key and enjoyable old time bar. When the oldies are playing and you go on a night where they are having large beers for $ 4 it’s hard to beat. Having said that its nothing crazy or new but just a good place to relax after a day of shitty work.

I probably go here about once a week, so I may be a little biased as a regular, but this is a great place. I have also completed the Big 50. Wendy has always been awesome to us. Always nice to have a bartender who knows who you are and treats you right.
It’s a bit of an older crowd, so a little more laid back. But, I enjoy a more laid-​back atmosphere over the crowded fratastic atmosphere of some other bars. This LW’s only has beer and wine, so don’t expect to drop jäger bombs all night. Take your popped collar and sunglasses at night down to a bar in West U if you want that crowd.
Also, steak night on Thursday is pretty awesome.
And lastly, they have Erotic Photo Hunt on one of the machines at the bar. What more could you ask for?

Parking can be an issue, but they have a good selection of different beers at a resonable price. Can’t wait to try the Big50!

Decided to stop by when looking for a place to hang out near the Bellaire area that was open late. It was a Saturday night and not too crowded (plus). It is what I would consider a dive-​ish bar though. Felt a little overdressed and I was in jeans. It’s definitely more of your neighborhood, casual, dive bar. Come in flip flops and you’ll fit right in.
Bartender was friendly and attentive. There are some fun games you can play. All in all not a bad place to grab a beer with your buddies if you are looking for something in the area.

Thursday — steak night! My sister took me here one night when I was home for a quick visit. For $ 14 bucks, you get a huge steak and a loaded baked potato. It was all delicious! Now I hate when my sister calls me on a thursday and tells me where she’s at. The next time I’m in town I’m going back for Thursday — steak night.

I’d say it was a pretty good night. I finally appeased my Ziegenbock thirst. I bought my friend a beer. They came in these oversized, chilled glasses. Then I drove for 7 minutes to get home. This Little Woodrow’s is less crowded than R. Village’s, but the roaches got the memo too.

Very nice bar! Quiet with lots of TV. One main draw back is there is no food offered but you are welcome to bring your own.

This has been one of my most frequented bars in Houston and is by far my favorite Woodrows. Why? Well they have a decent enough beer selection that doesn’t break the bank (seriously sometimes their bigger sized glasses are cheaper than pints of the same beer), couple that with lots of space inside and out (and a more quiet space in the back, which has giant jenga), and pool and darts. The atmosphere here is usually more mature than the other woodrows which I prefer, and it’s definitely more laid back. I usually never have to go to the jukebox because classic rock is always on. Overall if you like a more grown up relaxing time while drinking a beer served by a friendly staff, come here to beat the crowds and shoot some pool.

Thursday night, Steak night! It’s down the street from my job and a steak and tater will only cost me about $ 15. They aren’t measly scraps of meat either! This a solid cut of beef and the potatoes are pretty large. I had food left over. The beer selection is also great and they won’t cost you an arm and a leg!

Since moving near this location I always found this location to be strange. It’s literally a bar smackdab right outside of a neighborhood and next to the train tracks. There are NO other bars near by.
They have a decent amount of parking, but I don’t imagine this place being overran. It seems like this is just a local drinking spot for the residents of this area. It’s what you expect out of a Woodrow’s so affordable beer and some house wines. Simple straight to the point no frills kind of joint. It’s nice because it’s REALLY close to home and prices are great. You come here to chat it up with an old friend, it’s not your party kind of bar. That’s even better because you won’t find yuppies, hipsters, or college frat boys here.

The only reason I’m not giving Little Woodrow’s 5 stars is they don’t have shuffleboard or corn hole. Beer selection is great (100 beers 20 on tap). Went in here on a Saturday night with my brother trying to find a local bar and have been back every weekend since. They don’t have a kitchen but a random pizza guy comes in around midnight offering lg pizzas for $ 8. Ordered a miller lite and got a tall (23oz) for $ 3. I’m still hoping the owners put in a shuffleboard table. If they do, I will be there every night!

Oh little Woodrow’s!!! I have had some good and some bad times here! Regardless it is nice to have a neighborhood bar at this location!!! It’s better when it is not so Hot outside since I mainly just like to sit outside while I am here. And some people might find the train that goes by periodically annoying but I think it is kind of cool!!! So sit back relax and enjoy an ice cold beer at little Woodrow’s!!!

Cheap beer, good selection and a spacious outdoor patio with a view of the train tracks for entertainment. The staff is always friendly and easygoing.
