This girl’s clothing store received its ‘raise’ in the height of the nouveau girl power craze around 1996. It was great, but it bordered superficiality. This was the place to shop if you were a popular girl. I can recall swiping stickers from this place that read things like ‘2 Much 4 U’ and ‘Grlz Rock’.
It was a lifestyle they sold. Which probably helped me ignore an old friend who was crushing on me back then. If I could go back I would have slapped the shiz out of the prat I was.
