Left Bank At River Oaks

I stopped by the leasing office on Saturday February 6^th because I’m looking for a one bedroom. The property is beautiful and in a great location so I have always admired it and was looking forward to touring the property and see the floor plans. The leasing agent in the office was working alone and there were no other people visiting at the time. When I asked about a one bedroom, she quickly said that she didn’t have any to show me, didn’t have any available and wouldn’t have any available that she knew of. She did pull out some floor plans to show me and that’s when I noticed the bottle of nail polish on her desk. Maybe she was in a hurry to get rid of me so she could go back to doing her nails? She didn’t talk about the amenities of the property or tell me anything about the apartments themselves. I stood up to leave because I really felt dismissed. She didn’t take my contact information but did say I should call her back some time next month.
My one star rating is just based on this experience. However, I feel that if the leasing office is this dismissive of a potential resident in a market that is flooded with availabilities while, unfortunately, people in the oil and gas industry are being laid off and may have to break their leases because of a hardship — then it is representative of lazy, disinterested management. To me that means the property would be inadequately maintained and management would be unresponsive to tenants needs. First impressions count!
I went down the street to Sunrise by the Park where I was treated much more respectfully. I found a floor plan that I loved and will move in this spring.

This place is as good as it gets. They have an incredible office staff, resort style amenities with two gas grills and a beautiful pool as well as a pond and trail outdoors. Highly recommend.

Thrilled with this experience so far! The location and quality of the apartments could not be better. They are older apartments, but you would never be able to tell by the improvements on the inside. All units were completely renovated and they look brand new! The maintenance staff is absolutely amazing. They are very prompt and so polite/​cheery. We made three work orders on a Sunday afternoon and they were fixed by Monday. The one problem I would have is with the parking garage. All the turns are super tight and a lot of residents take them way to quickly. If everyone would slow down, it wouldn’t be an issue, but that’s not the case. Also, If you get home past 9 pm you will probably have to park up top in guest parking. The view is pretty good up there though, so I can’t complain!

I lived here for about a year and have absolutely nothing to complain about. The place is clean and the large park in the back is well maintained and lovely. Almost everyone here has dogs and it’s really very pet friendly.
