Nice staff and pleasant selection of clothing for a boutique chain in Houston. Clothing is reasonably priced and one of several locations throughout the city. Popped in here recently to find a dress for a friend on short notice and they were more than happy to assist in a hurry. I’m not a frequent shopper in the area, but I was pleasantly surprised by the service. Thumbs up.

Unfriendly and complete lack of service. My daughter and I were completely ignored today not one hour ago at the Vintage location. No greeting, no one asked if we needed help. I received a soap opera stare from one of the workers,(I guess she DID see me!) as if my presence was tainting the store. I may not have been wearing boutique clothes today, dear clerk at LaVoe, but I did have $ 300 to spend at Anything Bling and La ‘ve Vee, right next door.

Truly disappointed and disrespected by the staff. Two friends and I entered because their window displays looked appealing. Once in, one of my friends grab a dress to possibly purchase. Once we walked the entire store we were no longer interested as the clothing was either cheap or on sale. My friend opted to not get the dress and placed it back on the rack. May i add, I did not grab a single item. I had a to-go box of food; therefore, my hands were full. We exited and even said Good-bye from the door to the young ladies at the cash register. Not long after, one of the teenage workers approached us once we were at my car. She asked us where did we place the dress as they have to keep up with inventory. I thought that was very odd. Since my friends and I were catching up on lost time, we continued to talk at my car. Not even ten minutes later, an older man approached my car and took a picture of my license plate claiming that his daughter works at the store and claims we stole items. To make a long story short, I went back to file a complaint to upper management and they did not have a manager. The father also went back to the small boutique because he saw me return. He later stated that he is sure I did not take anything because I actually returned to the store?! He said he erased the photo of my license plate and was only trying to scare me. Needless to say, it didn’t scare me but upset me more than anything. I’m offended and highly recommend nobody goes there. The handling of the situation was very unprofessional and I really do not appreciate being followed by teenage workers nor their parents. The managers need to train their employees to pay attention to the merchandise instead of make unfounded assumptions on adults. I noticed only 2 employees and both were at the register instead of the floor providing customer service. I also informed the father that it is not a smart idea for his daughter to be following customers to their cars if she suspects something.

When in Rome… do as the Romans do. And when in the Woodlands, shop for women’s clothing at LAVO. This place has a good word of mouth among the locals, and it is worth the hype. I needed to update my summer wardrobe, and the summer collection of tops really appealed to me in a way that few other things I have shopped for in So Cal has. The staff was very friendly and eager to please(a big help from«eager to sell» attitude that I am used to.) And the prices were VERY reasonable for some of the treasures I picked up. This is another MUST when I return to Texas.

Lavo used to be at Willowbrook Mall but has moved to Vintage Park and is next door to T. Carolyn. Since I was early to lunch, I decided to pop in and browse around with the intention of not buying anything(yeah, freakin’ right). I was pleasantly surprised by the type of clothing that was there and the affordable prices. Lavo just opened in Vintage Park last week so they weren’t too busy except for a few trickle of ladies here and there. Lavo has dresses that are around $ 25-$ 45 and blouses for $ 15 – 30. The dresses are not hoochie mama short like what I’ve been seeing at Forever 21, but rather above the knee and something you can wear on the weekends or to work. The styles are chic, fun, and flirty and made me want almost everything in there. In the back, there are purses, belts, jewelry, and accessories. The ladies are super helpful and will bring you a dress or blouse that they think you will like. One of the ladies suggested a purple dress which I eventually bought. While trying it on, one of the buttons fell off and I was able to get a 10% discount on(final price). I left the store with the dress and a blouse for around $ 55. Overall, I can’t wait to come back here. I’ve been trying to find a cute boutique rather than going to Macy’s or Forever 21. The clothes are affordable, cute, and the staff is friendly and will help you find what you are looking for.
