Food was good, but the waitress came to our table only twice… when we ordered and when she brought the food. She never checked on us even though she spent plenty of time staring at the wall. Salsa, chips and drinks were gone well before we finished our meal. Had to ask for the check at the register and she didn’t know who we were or what we ordered. Also saw her test some food coming out of the kitchen by touching it with a finger. I was really hoping this place would be better, but you can get the same food at the same price at Berry Hill, just down the street, and you don’t have to wait on servers to bring you chips and salsa.

I went to Landa Café after years of driving by the location and I couldn’t be happier that I finally tried it. Everything I have tried so far has been absolutely delicious and keeps me wanting more. Good authentic Mexican food at great prices! The portions are big and filling and you can tell that they use quality ingredients. I highly recommend it. It’s usually on the quieter side so it’s great to be able to enjoy great Mexican food and margaritas in a relaxed setting. All in all, a wonderful little establishment with great food and nice people at an affordable price! I can’t express how much I recommend it. It’s truly a little hidden gem.

Authentic Mexican restaurant with good food. Clean on the inside and never seems super crowded. Nice portions of food at a cheap price.

The food was actually pretty good. The service however not so much. Nice waitresses but no experience. I ordered two margaritas and the margarita machine wasn’t on, so I ordered a beer which was room temp. Its unfortunate that I will more than likely never come back BC i like to support small independent restaurants.

Large portions, tasty. Good prices. Nice casual, small place. I had the enchiladas suizas, it was tasty and filling. The green sauce was perfect, and all that melting cheese was so good!

I’m not sure where all of the reviewers who liked Landa went, but the Landa I visited on Friday 5⁄01 was not good. I was not impressed with the chips, the queso — bland, bland. The chicken fajita meat in the taco was dry and perfectly square — not sure how that happens. I don’t mind if the staff isn’t fluent in English, but the lady that waited on us couldn’t communicate the price of a margarita, was very confused about the bill. There was one price when she brought the bill, and a different price when she returned with the paid receipt. Not sure what I paid for. But I won’t have to worry about it again, cause I won’t go back.

Went for lunch and had the Julios combination for 6.95. Large ground beef taco, large ground beef tostada, cheese enchilada, guacamole, rice, and beans. Nice meal, except the rice. Was stuffed when I left. Good value for the money. Red sauce and chips are good too. Have a beer and wine license, they applied for liquor license 4 weeks ago. Hopefully they will have it soon. Give it a try!!!

My husband and I ate here yesterday and he had fajitas for one and I had the tampiquena plate but we could have shared the fajitas next the portion for one was comparable to fajitas for 3 in other restaurants in Houston, the food was great, portions great and excellent service, we spoke to the owner When he came by our table and told him how great this place is. Please give it a try, I dont think you will regret it and spread the word if you like it. I am.

Went here for breakfast and it was EXCELLENT. Great food and service. Love the chips and hot sauce too. Cannot wait to go back and try their lunch/dinner. Machacado Mexicana was the best I think I have had anywhere.

Landa Café at 302 Crosstimbers(next to the fire station)…we ate there today and it was REALLYGOOD! Mexican Food like it should be… steaming hot, large portions and quality ingredients. Great lunch specials from 11:00 — 2:00 $ 6.95 will get you the Julio Plate with beef taco, beef/bean tostada, cheese enchilada, bean, rice and guacamole and sour cream. Good hot sauce and green sauce and real fried corn tortilla for chips. This style of food makes you think of «old school» Mexican food from the 70’s. Cheesy Enchiladas that have strings of cheese hanging off your fork for miles, great beans and rice that you know someones grandmother is in the back making. This is the real deal, you have to wait about 15 minutes for your food because someone is making it fresh in the kitchen just for you. The family who owned Casa Grande on N. Main are the new owners of this place. The food is all fresh and home-made…no frozen stuff here. This place is very clean and the service is excellent! Please go by and try it out… and tell Julio and Yolanda Garza I send you!
