It’s tough to get a decent hotel these days. Too often hotels have names you recognize and respect but they are owned and operated by private owners. This translates to furnishings and linens being below an acceptable standard. I choose La Quinta when traveling because I don’t want to spend $ 200 a night. I paid $ 89 for one night. The hotel is modern and updated, my room looked just like the one pictured on the website, the front desk provided yea blankets with I problem, the bathroom was very spacious and the tub clean. I travel with bleach and soft scrub but didn’t have to use them during this stay. The hotel staff were very polite and gracious… during check-in the nice lady who checked me in found a rate that was cheaper than what I had as a AAA member.

Hotel was not easy to find, but once we got there, the staff was very friendly. I had made an error on reservations and she helped me get it right and all while smiling! Hotel was clean. Breakfast was average. Big breakfast room. Room was a little musky, but we turned up the ac and opened a window and we were good. Free WIFI always a plus!

Nice rooms, good location, but why do they hire staff like this? The woman on the front desk in the morning not only looks unattractive, but she’s surly and rude. When we checked in yesterday she seemed irritated that she had to interrupt her personal phone call to check us in. Then when we tried to ask her a question she was even more unhelpful, even though we were the only people in the lobby at that time. The woman in charge of breakfast was asleep in the back room this morning and didn’t want to put out more food. She acted like she was rationing it. Neither one of these women would work for me.

I was there the weekend of MARCH3, 2012, room 221. The bed that is farthest from the bathroom has bedbugs!!! My arms are full of bites !!! Waiting for the manager to call me back because she is out sick :( And I did notify the front desk to burn the mattresses… BOTH of them. For now on, I bring my own sheets.

I stayed here one night and while the room was fine, the service from the airport itself left much to be desired. We waited over an hour and when we called back to check about the status of the driver and I was told he couldnt find us… meanwhile we were waiting in the very place we were told to wait. Eventually we were picked up and the rest of the evening went smoothly but it was a lackluster welcome. The breakfast offerings in the morning were also a let down.

They have moved locations and remodeled. Now on airport blvd instead of gulf freeway(I-45). VERY clean, smells nice, comfortable and friendly staff… one bad point though: hot tub didn’t work when we stayed there.

I was only here for one night. The staff were really friendly, the rooms large, clean and comfortable. The complementary breakfast was crap so i would recommend getting breakfast somewhere else.
