So my office got take out from here on Thursday because everything in the building closed for New Years! I got the Orange Chicken. It was inedible — dry, tasteless. The worst. This is the 2nd time I have gotten bad food from this restaurant. Never again.

Nice to locate this Kim Son close to the house. It’s a much smaller space than the huge location downtown or the poorly managed one out off 59. Same basic menu. A little Chinese, a little Vietnamese, a little sushi bar, a little vegetarian dish here and a wrap and a bao and a crab rangoon there. So I can tell ya what I like but if you don’t like General Tso’s Chicken or Hunan Shrimp I likely won’t steer you in the direction you want. I like basic spicy dishes with fried rice. Edamame? Yep. I’ll take that too. I do like their Vietnamese Egg Rolls. So if I get one of the bowls, I always add them for a couple bucks more. It’s all pretty basic and inexpensive. Lunches run ya about $ 10 and dinner usually less than $ 20. It’s Kim Son. It’s good. It’s pretty cheap and it’s always fast service. I saw only beer and wine. So the fun rum drinks I get at the downtown location were not part of my meal. I do wish they could figure out how to clear their tables in some timely fashion. I have yet to eat at one of their locations where I did not sit and stare across at a dirty table for most of my meal.

I always order the soft shell crab which is literally one of the best ones I’ve ever tried. ITIS A MUSTTRY! The only down part about this place is that they raised the prices on most of the food in the menu. Always a good customer service and delicious food. Would recommend for people to try. It’s always crowded during lunch time on weekdays.

So they did free delivery after my review, then now they changed it and went back to the $ 3 fee. And they said I’m out of a 4 mile radius which I’m not according to every map app I have. Like how do you keep changing your business in a short period of time? So inconsistent, I rather not order from them ever again. Too bad.

Never eating here again. I got the Lemongrass chicken v-bowl togo, the chicken was obviously frozen pre-cooked and then thawed/reheated with some lemon grass glaze slapped on. Freshly cooked chicken would have made it so much better. The Noodles were dry, no sauce or anything other then their version of fish sauce to dip the eggrolls in. I’ve had better food from Panda Express. So disappointed especially when I paid $ 12 for a lunch order. Portion size was big, but I didn’t even keep the leftovers because it was so unappetizing the first time around.

After church the hubbs and I wanted something Asian but I wanted to mix it up. I remember coming here once with some friends and thinking the food was pretty decent, so we headed over ready for some phở or something else comforting. We saw that they had dim sum, and having not eaten dim sum for probably a few years, we decided, sure, why not? We got an order of egg rolls, pan fried dumplings, Shanghai style dumplings, Siu Mai and Pork Ribs. I also got a bowl of broth because my throat was tickling me due to transitional season allergies. Egg rolls: okay. Tasty, but nothing special Pan fried dumplings: tasty and delicious. Generous portions of meat and a good dipping sauce Shanghai style dumplings: completely misleading. They look like the Shanghai soup dumplings, but they have no broth inside and are pretty much the same filling as the pan fried dumplings. the PFD are a lot better Siu Mai: very shrimpy and porky. I don’t like seafood, so this was gross to me. But they had generous amounts of meat, and were a lot more filling than expected Pork Ribs: very fatty. Even though the portions of meat looked like a lot, it tasted like fat. After one or two, I had to stop Prices are what you expect for Memorial Americanized Vietnamese/Chinese food. Would we come back? Ehhh not sure. But glad we gave it a shot.

I loved Kim son in downtown. I came to have lunch at this location around 2:00. Not crowded at all. The wait staff was slow once my food was delivered, he never came back to check me. No water refills and I waited for quite awhile for my check(only one hour lunch) so i walked up to my waiter and asked for my check, since he was too busy.

Yet another restaurant that has horrible customer service. They got our address wrong and took way too long to bring us our food. When we finally got our food the order was completely wrong, we asked for 2 orders of spring rolls they only gave us one, I asked for white rice and instead got fried rice and it wasn’t even a whole order of rice, it was like they forgot the other half. Also the food looked like it was thrown together. When I called to complain the guy that took our order, his name is Daniel(guy in the blue), basically mocked us, refused to take responsibility and then hung up on me. When I finally arrived at the restaurant, I didn’t get an apology from the manager(guy in the grey button down), he was super impatient. I’ll stick with café chopsticks down the road. And if you scroll further down you will see all the bad reviews about this place were due to bad customer service.

Good food and service. Not the most well cared for place but you can tell they focus on the food and service. Better than your average Chinese /Vietnamese place.

Great little spot if your coming in for a quick meal– make sure you let them know if you order an appetizer that you want it before the entrée. Thai iced coffee is great– rating a 3 because of service 4⁄5 for food 2⁄5 for décor and ambiance.

Thank you Kent for your excellent service. We made the observation that we were on our lunch hour and he was very attentive on our needs, excellent service and quality in everything as always, I love it, I would highly recommend this place! By the way, my favorite dish is Phở Tai — «Fah Thai» Soup! :)

Poor customer service. We order at this location ALL the time. One Day a month ago they messed up the order so we called them about it since it was a delivery… I never received a refund and I was fine with that, I wanted the food. That’s why I ordered from there. Well because of their error, and my no refund, our location apparently can’t place orders anymore. Who does that? How can you mess up an order, not issue a refund, AND band the client?!? Other employees ordered from there since my incident and they would deliver, even up to Monday… Today is Wednesday! Today I cal to place an order and they inform me that they won’t deliver from that incident! And was completely rude about it. So, who are you hurting besides yourself when we have continued to order after the incident, and you then decide to basically punish us weeks later… Of course no one from here will order anymore. OFCOURSE we will refer our clients to the other restaurant that delivers and offers much better customer service. It’s a shame when you don’t have the right to say hey. My order isn’t right.

Ive been to this location multiple times and still has not disappointed. I brought my sister here because we wanted some good tofu, either tofu springs rolls or tofu entrée, which are incredible and love the variety. As a Vegan I love all the options available. They have a big menu so vegan or not, they have you covered. From Sushi, to V-bowls & even dim sum on Sundays. The staff is nice and friendly, management walks by and makes sure all is well. Environment is nice, place is clean, restrooms clean. No complaints. Overall, I recommend this place. Two thumbs up.

Went here for dinner with my girlfriend. Nice place, pretty modern. We were seated promptly by a friendly girl and our drink orders were taken immediately. We decided to start off with the Shangai Dumplings as an appetizer. I ordered the Mongolian Beef and my girlfriend ordered shrimp and peas(forgot the exact name). The food took a little long to get to our table but it was good. I was satisfied with the service and overall experience. Best yet, it was an affordable and nice place to dine! Would definitely visit again.

They have everything. Best Asian place I have been to. I don’t know what the negative reviews are about. I have only been here when its slow or I ordered delivery. Love love this place. Miso soup is fresh. The lettuce wraps are amazing.

This baby Kim Son is close to my spin studio, so it’s easy to pop in for dinner afterward. They have a really good happy hour menu with $ 5 apps, and discounted drinks. I sampled the lettuce wraps, which are very good, as well as some of their rolls. The Houston roll, the Shaggy Dog, and some dumplings, all very tasty. Quick service, easy to get in and out, and decent prices. Everything you would expect from a Kim Son restraunt.

This makes a great lunch spot because you get a lot of bang for your buck. Per Cameron B and Ako E’s suggestions, I went with a tofu dish — the Tofu V Bowl — along with two pieces of unagi nigiri and green tea… all for less than $ 15. And I had plenty of leftovers. The tofu dish is a «light» option, however the tofu is fried, but served over a bed of rice noodles, cucumber and carrot salad, it’s not so bad. The unagi, I’d steer clear of. At first I was impressed because it appeared to be a hefty cut, then I realized it was all fat.(The proper way to prepare unagi si to filet it, then grill it, steam it and grill again to get rid of the excess fat.) My guess is that they didn’t do it. It was awful; I don’t recommend. Service was good. I sat at the sushi bar and worked on my laptop(they have free Wi-Fi). My green tea was refilled with hot water multiple times and the server kept checking up on me. He even charged my camera behind the bar.

I work nearby and this is one of my go-to places when I have time to sit down for lunch. The tofu v-bowl is the best thing I’ve had so far! The tofu is lightly grilled and a great texture, and the vermicelli noodles are flavorful. It’s a tasty flavorful lunch without being too filling. It also travels well to-go. FYI one thing to avoid: there is a curry dish on the lunch menu that is absolutely terrible. Everything else I’ve had is great.

Since my last review, I’ve had the opportunity to sample other menu items(it was very hard weaning myself off of the Tofu V-bowl!). I’ve been through most of the tofu dishes: lemon grass — lightly battered tofu with lemon grass in fish sauce; tofu deluxe — lightly battered with onions & bell pepper in a black pepper sauce; Hunan tofu — lightly battered with snap peas, carrots, black mushrooms, broccoli, & baby corn in our spicy Hunan sauce; Dow See tofu — Soft tofu steamed with rice wine, black ear mushroom & Chinese black bean with glass noodles & house soy sauce(this is my favorite). All of the tofu dishes are insanely delicious! Yesterday another entrée caught my eye: Mekong Spicy Fish — tilapia filets and white onions simmered in a spicy basil sauce & topped with fresh basil. The sauce had a hint of curry & was a gorgeous orange hue. And it was sinfully spicy! Spicy enough to make your nose run but a short burn time so your mouth didn’t ache too long. With my eyes watering & nose running I couldn’t stop myself from 2nds. Dow See Tofu & Mekong Spicy Fish are both«must try» dishes!
