Let’s start with it took a while for us to get our food came it was alright I ordered what I thought was hot link which came warm and dry I ordered BBQ sauce on it it’s the 1^st time I had BBQ in Texas Big disappointment

This place has been around for a long time. I use to enjoy it as a child. I had the chance to re discover it a couple of months ago and wow did I enjoy it. The barbque was great. The brisket was to die for seasoned to perfection tender and juicy.
But… The last time I was in there the service was not to my liking. I ordered two chopped beef sandwiches and some brisket. When I got home to enjoy my meal. It was awful. The sandwiches were fine but the brisket was horrible. It was the most fatty and greasy thrown in the plate and the bread was stale and the end pieces. The pickles and onions were not right, it was just terrible so needless to say I haven’t been back. I really hate it though because I love patronizing neighborhood businesses.

It’s small, but the food is good and the customer service is superb. If you ever get a chance to get some good breakfast. This is the place to be. Jeff’s Kitchen is it. Enjoy

Ive only been here once but i loved their customer service. They are very friendly charismatic people but i had the chicken strips basket and to me they weren’t cooked at their best and they didn’t have good flavor either. My mom had their shrimp basket and she liked it but the toast was to thin and it was to greasy.

Are you craving breakfast, lunch, dinner, soulfood or barbecue? This place has it all. The portions are huge and the prices are low. If you are looking for home cooking then try them out. My fav for breakfast is the chicken and waffles. The lunch spaghetti is yummy and the soul bowl after work is another favorite. You can eat for the entire day on one twenty dollar bill. The food is hearty and full of love. It makes you click your heels like Dorothy and say «there’s no place like home».

The food is great. You get huge servings. The older ladies should get a school to teach the younger people about customer service. They are splendid with customer service. The food is with flavor and juicy. I have tried the shrimps, fish, bbq, sandwiches, greens, yams, corn, turkey wings, hamburgers EVERYTHING is good. You choose. Do not forget the slices of cake that melts in your mouth. You see people cooking not using a microwave. I like to watch the action.
Keep doing what you guys do.

This has been a staple for our family for years. My dad loves the burgers. My mom usually treats herself to a slice of cake which are moist and a generous serving size for the price. I personally like the chicken strip dinner which comes with delicious toast. Within the last few months the service and interior& exterior has improved tremendously. Management has done a lot to improve the efficiency and quality of customer service.

The sliced beef sandwich combo $ 7.75 (sandwhich, 1 side & drink) can easily compete with and beat the competition like pappas, goody’s, demeris and gabby’s. It’s been a while since I’ve been here, it’s kind of a hole in the wall and can easily be driven by. The previous times I’ve eaten here have been fine experiences as well, but I’ll base this review on today’s lunch.
The lady behind the counter was sweet and friendly. I watched my sandwich get prepared and view the steam table items, they all looked delicious. Soul food is on the menu. The cook put bbq sauce on both sides of the buns, added the pickles and onions, piled on the sliced beef at least ¾″ thick. My side was fries and DP for the drink. The sliced beef hung out past the buns and it was easy to see the this meat was prepared in a pit. The meat was well trimmed, but not too much leaving a little bit of fat for flavor. The meat also and a ¼″ of smoke ring on it. The sandwich was excellent.
The appearance of the place is definitely «mom and pop“ish, but for me that adds character. Anyday at lunch expect to find a line, you need to step up to the counter or get skipped.
My coworker had the cheeseburger and was too busy eating and enjoying it to comment but was able to give me a thumbs up. He did say it was really good and juicy.
If ever in the area it is definitely worth the visit.

The burgers here are decent but the barbecue and the sides offered are not all that great. Please clean this place up and give the clients something to look forward to returning to. There were flies all over the place and the food in the steam table didn’t look too fresh.

Ok. I passed by on my way to an appointment & the parking lot was full. I passed up again over an hour later & the place was still busy so I figured why not give it a try. They have everything from turkey wings, bbq, seafood to soul food.
I broke the cardinal rule of ordering from the mom & pop/​off the beatin path spots: when in doubt go for what’s being ordered the most!!! :-(Everyone was ordering burgers. I went for the bbq. Came w/​2 meats, 2 sides plus the pickles, onions & stuff. I also grabbed a piece of cake.
Both my mac n cheese & red beans weren’t that great. The ribs & sliced beef were just ok. I was expecting more flavor bc it was one of those small joints. The bbq sauce was kinda blah. On a good note the cake was nice & moist, icing not overly sweet.
Gotta give them credit on the portion size. The portions of everything didn’t make the $ 13 total a bad deal. Most places will give ya 2 ribs & a few wimpy slices of beef even the dog would laugh at… this place piled it on.
Too bad the taste didn’t match up though. I hated to throw all that food in the trash. I should’ve gone for the burger!
