I’ve been out here many times and I’ve always had a good time. But this review is just for their steak night. On Wednesdays, they have steak night until 10pm! No dress code and there wasn’t a wait. You get a ribeye and choice of veggies or loaded baked potato for about $ 17! The steak was HUGE, juicy and seasoned well. A little more expensive than most steak nights but worth it imo! Definitely recommend trying it out! Service was quick and friendly!

Unfortunately Hughes Hanger is normally a great place and there Wednesday night stake night is fantastic 5 stars. This event was one of the wursed planed events I have ever been to. They only utilized 30% of the venue. You could not see the dancers in the stage, the girls in costumes hung out by the bathroom in a large group, so it was totally pointless for them to even be there. I could go on and on and on about how poorly managed this event was, but I’m just going to ask for my ticket money back.

I never heard of this place until a couple weeks ago. I decided to check it out last night. The place was not too crowded so that was perfect. The DJ was playing a great mixture of songs so you literally could dance your butt off if you wanted too. The crowd was meh! I am simply giving them three stars because they seriously Overcharged my card. That did not make me happy. Also the ATM was out of service so we had to walk across to the gas station to get cash to pay for valet. I just think that defeated the whole purpose of valet. Overall I had a good time with the people I rolled out with. Will I go back? Maybe but if I do I will make sure I bring cash only.

Hughes Hangar. I’ve been to Hughes twice now, once for the Lyft launch party, once for the NYE party. Because Hughes is such an enormous venue, it seems to be the place that a lot of special events get held at. They have pretty solid music constantly playing, and they have lots of standing/seating area and a few bars dispersed throughout. The set-up is a bit unique in that you’ll be walking around, and in the span of 10 minutes you’ll be in-doors, out-doors, in-doors, out-doors, without really realizing it. Disclaimer:I realize that I’ve only been here for their special events, so take my review with a grain of salt. My first visit for the Lyft party was wonderful. The people were nice, the staff were friendly, the party in general was really well-done. However, I’m not sure if that was due to Lyft or due to Hughe’s.(i give this event 4 stars) My second visit was for their NYE party. This was not as well-done ATALL. The venue was absolutely 100% crowded. People were constantly bumping into one another, especially in the main tent. This led to a lot of tension all around(I was expecting it to be crowded, so it was not surprising to me.) What was surprising though was how people at Hughe’s handled it. Let’s just say, some people complained to the cops about the bumping. The cops came and only spoke to a specific race of people to tell them to stop(even though EVERYONE was doing the bumping). And then that race of people got drinks thrown on their faces, but neither the cops nor the establishment nor the other non-minority customers said anything about it. Throughout the night, I witnessed a lot of similar incidences — racial slurs, name-calling against lgbtq groups etc. I’m not sure what went wrong, whether Hughe’s staff knew what was happening or not., whether this was common for the Hughe’s crowd etc. But either way, the crowd was not minority friendly, and I do not plan to come back anytime soon. tl;dr: Hughe’s is interesting and fun. But don’t go on a big event day that is handled only by Hughe’s Hangar aka NYE party because the crowd gets rude.

Went here to hang out and have Steak night before my Step-son goes back home. We were lucky because of the rain to get parking right up front. I know parking here is limited. Music was a blast from the past. The place was very clean and classy looking. We sat at the bar the bartender was really nice and attentive. We had steak and it was very tasteful, mine was a bit over cooked. I didn’t complain cause I don’t mind if the steak still have pink in the middle. I asked for a medium steak and got something between M and MW. Dessert, I got an amazing cheese cake. Very impress with the food here. We will be back for sure.

Hugh’s Hangar is a great spot for steak night!!! We sat at the bar to keep it casual and fun. DECKER was our bartender and he couldn’t have been nicer! He also pours a wicked vodka and Diet Coke.(Lame but low carb whaddya want from me) My steak was cooked a perfect medium and the veggies were steamed without turning into a soggy plate of my future dinners fifty years from now. Checked in with Unilocal and my son and husband got a free dessert. Cozy little spot on trendy Washington without the snobby hipsters and service is outstanding. Will definitely be back!

Excellent steaks & drinks! Best Wednesday night meal in Houston! Ribeye was perfect! It was accompanied by a stuffed potato & a Jack Daniels mushroom sauce that was worthy of a return visit! The preparations for Thursday night’s New Years Eve party are ready & include a London style Millennium Ferris Wheel & all of the 007 props. It looks like it’s going to be the best way to ring in 2016 in Houston! Happy New Year! The staff was phenomenal!

Ordered tickets for the Brew N Boo. Got an email saying they rescheduled due to weather for a Saturday.(yes I still have that email.) Showed up and they had a private party and not open to public. Called and left several messages and emailed. Nobody ever bothered to respond.

Came in for their Wednesday steak night and it was amazing! The staff was very polite and we got seated fast. It doesn’t accommodate to larger parties very well though. For steak dinner, they had 14 oz ribeye grilled to your preference. It’s served with this amazing creamy, mushroom dipping sauce! This steak does not need any steak sauce or anything with it. Just the mushroom sauce and you’re complete. Another highlight is that it’s served with a choice of side. Usually other steak night dinners, they don’t give you options to pick from. Here, they let you pick loaded mash potatoes, baked potato, steamed veggies, etc. Top everything, the dinner was only $ 17. Great steal! I knocked off a star because they don’t have much options as a bar. Limited choice on beer, and I was looking into scotch to make up for it. However, they didn’t have the scotch I wanted either and got recommended something similar. It was a lot stronger than what I wanted.

I used to be a huge fan of Gage partly due to Scott the manager. Now that he is at Hughes Hangar I decided to check the place out. The drink selections were very good, and the waitresses are very nice and attentive. The door guy Cade is awesome as usual, and will take care of you to make sure you get home safely. The food is also very good. On Friday’s they have DJ Danny B mixing songs, and he is probably my favorite DJ in Houston, he actually DJ’d my wedding. My only con is that when I ordered an Old Fashioned, my favorite cocktail, I did not think it was made very well, but the drink was replaced right away. Also, sometimes they let the DJ really cut loose with some of his old school jams, but other times they keep it really top 40, which isn’t as exciting to me. Besides Friday and Saturday night, the bar/club has a very 20’s speakeasy theme for music and décor, which my wife loves.

I made reservations for my wife’s birthday to have a table for 10 on the patio. When I got there, they informed me that the entire patio was closed for a private event and pointed me to a corner table near the front entrance. Needless to say, this did not meet our expectations. We went inside to try and find another table but another private party had the inside tables reserved. Thus, our party was ruined. They could have at least called and warned us of the situation, but instead did nothing. That’s just poor quality in my book.

I went to this place on a Friday night for a friend’s birthday and it is the LAST time I will be going to this bar. To start off, they only have valet parking for $ 8(with rude attendants)! This was the first turn off for this place because it was dead to begin with and valet was completely unnecessary. Then my friends and I tried getting drinks and they had the worst service! There were at least 4 bartenders and not one came over to us asking if we wanted anything. We waited at the bar a good 15 minutes before deciding to just walk away. Bottom line: valet sucks, service sucks, the place is empty, and drinks are crap.

Lose the forced valet and attitude of the bartenders and you would have a decent spot, but for now it is just a bunch of posing hipsters trying to be seen.

I have been to this place a couple of times. It’s all under the same roof; bar, dance, hookah lounge. It has a huge patio. The dance floor is small but nice. You can come here chill, smoke hookah, have food, dance. Music sometimes is mostly hip hop but you can always request the songs. There is a valet for this place. Hookah was nice with lemon mint flavor. It’s a good place for a big group

I have been to this place at least three times before, but I hate that it has taken me so long to write a review for them. As far as spots to hang out on Washington Ave, this would be my go-to spot. Plenty of street parking(watch those signs to make sure you don’t get ticketed), there is a valet service if you are more than careful, there is a dance floor that I have had more than a few good times on, they have a good drink menu with some great selections, there is a patio to talk with your friends outside, and the other night I was here there was even somewhat of a an air jumper too. Weird, but cool! I guess they were really going all-out for the 90s party because this was the first time I had ever seen such a thing here. Another time I had come here, there were some belly dancers performing. Most of the time when I come here, the crowd is wicked cool. Sometimes, you can find yourself chatting or dancing with friends and someone you don’t know will join the conversation or join the dance line. I like open places like this especially in this part of town. I don’t understand a group of people showing up to a public place to be exclusive. Get out! Meet some people! Network! This is the place to do it! Get your club on!

I’ve a serious disdain for places that only offer paid valet. If you are going to require valet, it should be complimentary. Here, you’re shelling out $ 8 for them to drive your car 20 feet. Ummmmm how about no. Shout out to the Sonic manager across the street for letting me park there. Visited on a Friday evening. Nice set up. Outside is ok but time to spruce up the outdoor furnishings. Drinks are over priced. $ 8 for an amaretto sour? Me thinks not. Wait staff was attentive but I have a feeling that’s only because there were so few people there. It’s unlikely that I’ll be back because of the parking issue and their failure to impress me.

Very cool location! Went after work on a Friday and it was super empty! Guess the crowd of clubbers don’t get there until 9:30−10ish! But the outdoor area is super nice and the inside is dark with a ton of nice couches! It’s very loungy! I have to say I like it when there isn’t too many people and the happy hour menu is fairly good! The truffle waffle Parmesan fries are delicious and so are the seasoned edamame! Had a few drinks and would have to say they are on the low alcohol content side. I had a few very spicy Moscow mules but they definitely didn’t hit me at all. Overall a cool handout location.

When you’re ready for a good time, head on over to Hughes Hangar. On a Saturday night, I drove up and the valet stand said $ 5 for parking. Sounded okay, so I handed them my keys. As I walked in looking for my party, I very much enjoyed the décor of the bar. However at 10 pm, there was hardly a soul in the entire place. I ordered a drink– which was quite tasty and had good service at the outside bar. Inside we sat on the corner couches($ 300 minimum) and had decent service. When the bar got busier we didn’t see our waitress for large amounts of time. I think she was preparing shots for another vip table. All in all– I would return, the music had a good selection but it was too loud. The drinks were reasonably priced, but then when I left for the night the valet stand was now magically charging $ 8. Oh well, you when some and you lose some!

I give this place 3 stars because the ambiance/décor is awesome. It is like an old airplane hangar… and named for Howard Hughes who lived in Houston and is buried down the street at Glenwood Cemetery. They don’t serve buckets of beer… ok they will, but they charge you normal price for each bottle. During concerts the place gets packed. I mean elbow to elbow, push your way to the bathroom and make enemies in the process packed. I will NEVER go back when there is a concert, I don’t care who it is. When standing outside, you could barely hear the music, but when inside it was just scary, definitely a fire hazard. The only bathrooms I know of are up front to the left of the stage, so you have to fight the crowd to get to them. Ironically, there was no line for the women’s restroom, but there was an attendant who was very sweet, though on her cell phone the whole time and didn’t do much. Outside there is a nice big patio, with heaters when it’s cold, and there was no wait at the bar. But when there is a concert you don’t hear the music out there. Valet fills up. You can pay $ 20 for VIP valet. Not sure what that even means. Regular valet is $ 8. My friend’s car was parked at the back of the patio, and when some gate opened it hit the side of her car. When we got in the car to leave, the valet slammed the door on my husband’s leg. It was an accident but still, he was obviously not paying attention. AND the car has the keyless entry thing, but the valet didn’t leave the key fob in the car, so when he walked away the car started beeping because we didn’t have the key fob, so then we had wait until they found the valet guy with our key fob still in his pocket. On a separate occasion I’ve come and the valet was full, so I had to park across Washington on a side street behind the Shell station, with a homeless guy asleep on the sidewalk. Another time I had to pay to park at the Sunbeam bakery place down the street. Maybe I’m too old now, but it’s not worth the fight for parking and the crowds.

Steak night review– $ 15 for a 14 oz ribeye with a loaded baked potato and a mushroom sauce for da meat. No drink included, but it’s some good stuff. All the tables with normal seating was taken so I sat on the raised stage with a table that sits in line with my knees as I sit. So awkward. The steak was great. Definitely be back for it. The drinks were ok. My male friends had a slight issue with their drinks coming in dainty cups. But they got over it. Valet is $ 5, and I have no idea what the alternate parking is for a weekday.

My friends and I celebrated my friends 26th birthday there 08/30/2014. It wasn’t that great. I swear I bought one drink from one bartender at one price and the same drink later from another bartender and it was $ 2 dollars more. The music was okay but the dance floor was pretty empty til about 12:30…I personally think they’re music variety needs to step up. I like to dance… The waitress were very attentive which is nice when you’re out and you’re a little THIRSTY for some alcohol lol. The age range was from mid-twenties and up and when I say up, I mean up. There was a guy that looked like the lady in the willow tree from pocohantas there(i’m not lying google it). lol I’m not necessarily sure i liked the place for a GNO maybe i’ll give it another try but for now. i don’t see myself going back… it was un-amazing

I’ve got three words to describe this place: OVERPRICED. AS. FF$CCKKAJLHDA. This bar is the recent hotspot in Htown, can’t lie about that. Great atmosphere, very mature crowd, and excellent combination of the latest top EDM and Hip Hop music. But here is the down side — they know they are popular, and they are taking advantage of it to squeeze out as much profit as possible. We dropped by Saturday night around 11:30 to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Before I even got to the door we already passed by crowds of people leaving the place. Most of them could be heard talking about how they couldn’t get in. Apparently the only way to get in is if we purchase bottle service. Well we decided to do so, since we figured it would be cheaper to pitch in for a bottle rather than buying individual drinks and shots. We were told that we have to get at least 2 bottles, which would cost us at least $ 330. That didn’t sound like a bad price for two bottles. UNTIL after we killed both bottles and they brought out the check. Turns out, it was $ 330FORONEBOTTLE of ciroc, $ 270FORONEBOTTLEOFCROWN, an extra $ 45 for MIXERS, plus 20% GRATUITY when all they did was come by and refill our ice twice. Be right back, I’m gunna go flip some tables. NEVER in the history of my clubbing days have I heard such ridiculous pricing. Ciroc bottles in a club never cost more than $ 150 — $ 200 max. But to more than DOUBLE that amount is just insane. And let’s not forget about the fact that they purposely left out the details of how $ 330 wasn’t for two bottles, but for only one, to trick us into getting two bottles, after which we would be forced to pay it because we already drank it! Our final check came out to be a total of $ 740. FORONLYTWOBOTTLES. And it’s not just the bottles that they overprice. One redbull with absolut vodka cost me $ 12, when the same drink, but with grey goose instead of absolut, would cost me no more than $ 9 at any other bars or clubs. I need to find more tables to flip.
