Not happy with the results or the service. The girl was rude and seemed unhappy with her job. Won’t be back.

I just visited Happy Nails for the last time. I have had issues in the past but didn’t want to review them because I thought I might be back. I liked to come here because it’s close to my office, which makes dropping in during lunch pretty easy. EVERY time the try to up sell me and every time I say no. I want to $ 30 mani pedi they advertise in the window. Today, after declining politely SEVERAL times, the lady raised her voice and pretty much yelled«ITONLY45DOLLAR!» … which caused me to lose it and raise my voice back«I DON’T WANTIT!» — I would have walked out then and there if I didn’t already have my feet in the tub. I should have because they did a really sloppy job on the polish and didn’t even clean up my cuticles. To top that off, they ended up charging me more anyway. Whatever.

This is near my neighborhood, so I really want to like this place. I’ve even recommended it to neighbors because of its proximity. Unfortunately, I cannot say one good thing about my experience in this nail«spa,» and I feel guilty for telling anyone to go! Let me preface my forthcoming rant with this: I realize everyone has bad days, so I rarely complain about bad service and I always tip – no matter what. My expectation for a $ 25 pedicure is pretty laid-back and far from perfection, but I do expect to leave feeling better than when I walked in – and with neater looking nails. So all that said, as mentioned by previous reviewers, the minute you sit down, the«Happy» Nails crew is trying to upsell services. Even when you explicitly say what you want, they persist. When you persist, they have a way of shaming your request for«just the basic, please.» As my manicurist spoke in an unrecognizable language to my pedicurist, I(politely) inquired«what language are you speaking,» to make conversation. She acts as if she didn’t hear me. I ask again, no response.(She speaks fluent English.) The«massage» portion of both mani and pedi(for me and my friend) is essentially a smear of lotion, applied as though we have leprosy(we don’t). I asked for a sheer nail color, which the manicurist insists on finding for me. She gives me two so-so choices. I ask if there’s anything slightly pinker; she tells me no. And because my toes are being painted, I’m not allowed to get up and pick a polish. Okay, just paint them clear. I made her job three coats easier, yet she proceeds to slap on the single coat so carelessly that I felt compelled to pick up the bottle after she had walked away and fix my nails myself.(This is a first for me.) Not surprisingly, I got the death stare. But if I’m paying for my nails to be «done,» I’m not walking out of the nail place with janky polish that doesn’t even cover the nail itself. The final blow: My friend wanted to purchase the polish from her pedicure, which they were«happy» to accommodate because they sell brand-new bottles. However, they tried to sell her the half-full bottle with clumpy lid and all – for the full price – because they were out of the pretty red shade(okay, that gorgeous color is the *one* good thing about this place!). When she asked for it to be discounted in proportion to its used condition, they acted like she was crazy.(We left without it.) In my life, I’ve never wished so much that I had enough cash in my wallet to cover the service and leave not a cent of tip. I may have tipped in the end, but I’ll never go back. And the best tip I can give anyone who reads this: Go anywhere but here. Trust me, you don’t need a manicure or pedicure this badly. Ever.

Come and ask for Tina Vo. She is the best designer there. I guess she is the only one there who knows how to design ur nails exactly with the style/model that we have her. I love her the most. Check her out

I have become increasingly disappointed with Happy Nails. They are not cheap, and from the moment you sit down they are trying to sell you more services. It is so confusing that you cannot figure out what services are on what plan and how much it costs. They tell you that you need all kinds is extras and try to make you feel cheap when you say you don’t want it. The last couple of times I’ve gone, they rush me out of the place too quickly to put someone else in my place and my nails are ruined by the time I’m a few blocks down the road. I’ve had it with them.

I’ve been going to this shop every two weeks for a mani/ped and eyebrow wax for about 5 years. It’s inexpensive and they do a good job. I’ve had several facials here and while it’s not a luxurious spa treatment, I still leave feeling pampered with silky, smooth skin. I have also had false eyelashes applied here twice and they looked great and stayed on for way longer than I thought. I read the other reviews and I’m shocked that their experiences were so bad. The ladies are not super friendly but they’re pleasant and they always do a good job in fairly short amount of time. They always offer me a bottled water and carry my purse and shoes for me. I’ve taken my boyfriend with me several times for a pedi.(He runs marathons and his calves always feel much better after a pedi.) I’ve never had to ask them to cut my nails. I don’t have to — they always ask me. Regarding chairs with cracked upholstery? I’ve never seen that myself. Yes, they do often try to upsell but I’ve never been to a nail shop that doesn’t. However as far as excessive upselling? No, that’s not my experience at all. They usually offer me an upsell once or twice but never more than twice. Speaking of upsells, I finally did the ten minute massage after my pedi. You can choose your back/shoulders or legs. I chose back/shoulders. OMG — it was heaven. They’re open until 7 pm which is very helpful if you work late often. During the workweek, I usually go around 6 pm or I go at lunch and I’ve never had a long wait if any wait at all. I’ve only been on a Saturday or Sunday a few times in the last few years so I don’t really know what the shop is like on weekends.

Went in on a rainy Friday afternoon, place was quite so I got right in. I wanted a fill(pink and white) and ended up taking off my ugly old set and getting a new set for $ 40 and $ 5 tip. They have at least 6⁄8 pedi spas. The girls look like they did a good job compared to the crappy job I had at another salon a few days before. I will go in for a pedi and review on that later. Over all had a great experience.

This place does not even deserve one star! I went here yesterday with my mother and left irritated. We both had mani pedis. Upholstery on chairs were torn. Tools didn’t seem to be sanitized. If someone knows of a place where they open the packages in front of you, please, let me know! My nail technician seemed a little moody. I really hate when someone the maneuvering my fingers in an uncomfortable way while working on them. I am there for pampering! Don’t be lazy, walk around to the other side if my chair to go to the next hand. I had I ask her to clip my toenails. She grabbed the polish and started to paint and hadn’t clipped them. Manicure looked horrible. I had to tell her twice to fill in gaps and the tip I my nail where she missed or on the side where it wasn’t a clean line. Once at the drying station I had to move over to let someone else sit down. It was impossible for them to walk around me due to other stuff in the way.(Oh, also, i actually had to ask the woman to please pick up my purse and move it for me while my nails where drying.) in then process of moving over a nail messed up. I asked the nail technician to fix it. She came over and ran the brush over it. I told her it still needed doctoring. She walks away. I had to get the guy at the front to flag down another technician. She other lady cleaned up the wreck of a paint job. Both my mom and I said the same thing when we got into the car. «Never again!» Her polish was apparently old or something because the polish still feels«tacky» today.

This review is for eyebrow waxing only… $ 5. If you have cash. $ 6 if you want to put it on a card. They say that there is a $ 10 minimum on credit cards, but will charge you a dollar more if it is under $ 10. Still, $ 6 is a good price. There was no wait at lunchtime and the woman who did my eyebrows was quick which I appreciate. It wasn’t the most thorough job, but I was very happy with the shape, the speed, and the price. They weren’t the most friendly and the waxing was kind of awkward(on a upright chair in the middle of the salon). For a few bucks though, it’s hard to beat.

This nail shop is the worse!!! They should change their name because the workers aren’t happy at all… They are rude, and you can’t even understand them. I’ve been here a couple of times and I’ve asked them to do certain things and they always say they can’t… Obviously they are not skilled enough! WILLNEVEREVERCOMETOTHISPLACEAGAIN! Horrible experience!!!

This place is wonderful, everyone is so polite and nice. The owner is almost always onsite and available. I have used«V» for my nails and pedicures for over a year now and I go every 3 to 4 weeks… she is unbelievably talented. I even text photos to my friends and family every time to show the hand drawn designs she does on my nails. This is a very clean place.

I’ve been here quite a few times, and while they do a decent and quick job, there is just something about the place that I don’t like. I enjoy a nice, long, relaxing pedicure free from being harassed to get my eyebrows waxed. This place is constantly about the upsell. I realize it makes money, but after one«no,» they should stop. I had about three hairs that I plucked out when they told me I needed my eyebrows waxed. This was after trying to sell me twice on a sea salt scrub(something that is usually included in most pedicures) and hearing me say no. I guess you get what you pay for here. The magazines are old, as is the nail polish. They really don’t have any of the newer OPI or Essie colors. I usually bring my own polish anywhere I go, but for those who don’t that may be a problem. For a quick manicure, this will do… but if you want some more amenities and less leftover nail clippings left on the arm of your chair, pay more and go elsewhere.

I have been coming here for about 6 years, and the pedicure/artificial nails are your best bet. They have an amazing collection of nail polish, and they always offer you a water bottle and magazine while you’re there. They usually have interesting things on the televisions, and they are very nice with their customers. I know the owners,(from my long time of going there), and making the customers happy is their main concern. I have learned(by saddened experience) to not trust the waxing, the lady tried to blame me for having uneven eyebrows for tearing off a big patch of my eyebrow off. They will do an amazing job on your feet and nails though. I will continue to trust them with this.
