Hank’s Cajun Crawfish

I am a mom of four… and I rarely go out eat with just the kids and I. Tonight I went to one of my faves for boiled crawfish (once lived in NOLA). Yesenia was our waitress, and she was FANTASTIC! The food was great, as usual, and Yesenia never once let our drinks go empty. She was so helpful and extremely curious!
I love the food at the this place, but a great waitress like Yesenia makes all the better of a night!

Going to update me two star review to 3 stars. We went today with about 10 peeps. The lady attending us was great. The crawfish still not as good as CFNM. But good. Fried is good. French fries ehh.

The husband and I love this place. We love to take our friends and guests from out of town here to eat. Crawfish are always great. Wait staff is attentive and very good about refilling drinks. We’ve sat at the bar and at tables and have always received great food and great service. Ordered the boiled shrimp for the first time the other day. They were really good. FYI — if you get the corn and potatoes they seem to absorb more spice than anything else. They taste great. But you’ll be thankful the waiters are quick on those drink refills.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon with the family. We ordered a little bit of everything; craw fish, wings, shrimp fried rice, gumbo. catfish. nothing in particular stood out unfortunately, the food in my opinion was kind of bland. If you’re calling yourself Cajun then I’m looking for the food to be seasoned with a good kick. The wings (lemon pepper and crazy cajun) were probably the best out of the different menu items we had. The waitstaff was ok, certainly not the most attentive group.

Went here on a Sunday and there was a good crowd. Service is mediocre at best. Food was pretty good. Had the crazy cajun wings which were a HELLA HOT but I love my food spicy. Also had the meat pies which were horrible… too «wet» My friend had the shrimp friend rice which was really good. Boiled shrimp was also great. We also tried the creole pasta which was. meh! The worst part was the mixed drinks. The margaritas and hurricanes were way too sweet!!! Would never order again.

I love this place! It makes me happy just walking in the door. Atmosphere is great and food is good too. The boiled crawfish, shrimp and muscles are super hot (temp and spice wise) and the beer is super cold. It is the perfect combo! The people are super friendly, without judgment or prejudice. That goes for the staff and other customers. I like to sit at the bar and have had many great conversations with total strangers mostly about sports. There are plenty of TV’s too and they will change the station if you want provided no one is actively watching the current programming.
The manager Akina is the best! Always is making sure our experience is A+ Awesome! She knows how to take care of folks! Every one who works there is good to go! All you got to do is speak up and they will take care of you just like family.

Close to my workplace… been here a couple of times and the food and service has been great!
I would highly recommend it for lunch! Great atmosphere and clean! Looking forward to coming back.

Over priced, under spiced! Not to mention when you paint Reserved Owner on the front parking spot uou clearly care more about yourself than your cuatomers.

My fave place to come eat when we are in town and we always bring our friends! Best crab legs and shrimp I’ve ever had!

Food was ok and service was ok considering there was only one server at 3 p.m. The Bellaire location definitely has better food and better service.

Food and service was okay. There was only 1 server… Fried oysters were small and not too tasty. The seafood gumbo was decent. The Hanks in Bellaire is definitely better but is smaller.

Sigh. Absolutely one of the worst crawfish establishments I have ever been to. If I could give this place negative stars, I would.
Normally I wouldn’t really write such a negative review, but I’m just highly highly disappointed and mad.
It’s the last 2 weeks of crawfish season and they are already selling frozen crawfish. Ugh. My mom and I definitely came at a wrong time. Apparently yesterday (Friday July 3) they had «fresh» crawfish, which I highly doubt and they said they ran out. Hence the frozen.
Service
Incredibly awful. We had a woman who never paid attention to us, even though we were the only customers there since it was July 4. Seriously? She didn’t even refill or our waters. She kept talking to the bartenders and it was freaking annoying. Her back was literally towards us. My mom kept telling me that if there were any comment cards, she would write the hell out of that. We also ordered Cajun fries which we never received. Literally after 40 minutes and after receiving our check, we told her and realized she forgot. Unacceptable. Thank goodness she didn’t put it in our bill. Seriously. We were literally her only customers. How can you overlook something like that?! It’s fries for goodness sake.
Food
It’s frozen. What do you expect? Mushy, squishy, overcooked. Need I say more? It wasn’t even good enough to say that it’s mediocre. We didn’t bother finishing the 2lbs. There was literally a lot left. We also ordered oysters on the half shell. I will say that they were huge and not bad. My mom ordered the seafood gumbo and she was disappointed that for $ 6.99 for a small ass bowl.
I’m too mad to even write anymore. Not coming back. I’d rather go to LA Fisherman.

First, the food took forever to come out.
Secondly, it was very overpriced.
Lastly, the food was not very good. Especially dor the price. We had fried fish, shrimp, and crawfish tails. They were mediocre in flavor. I’ve had much better from cheaper restaurants. The portions were also kind of small for the price as I got fish and shrimp and received 3 small filets and 3 shrimp.
We ordered alligator bites as an appetizer and they were literally bites. About 10 mini bite sized pieces and again overpriced
I also ordered some of the trio fried rice. Dont waste your time. It was bland in flavor and had about 4 pieces of meat total!

It was good ! I honestly had no complaints! It was a nice day for seafood! My waitress was training another girl so our customer service was on point! I will have to go back when they have specials bc I easily spent a lot in there! Mainly from trying everything! So I will be back

Crawfish were good and easy to peel. Tip… if you like them spicy or them extra spicy. They were really busy but the manager made sure to help when the wait staff wasn’t available.

I love everything I try from here! I have tried 7 dishes and only been there twice! You can’t go wrong with any dish! The parking lot is small and a little hard to move around when it is full.

Crawfish… decent flavor but WAY TOO MUCH GARLIC and horribly OVER PRICED.
Fettuccine Alfredo… got it for my daughter and it was FULL of BOOZE! It was supposed to be a white wine reduction but was obviously not reduced.
Service… HORRIBLE! The server told me that my daughter (who is 4) would «sleep well» after I told her that her noodles were full of alcohol. Not an appropriate comment!
Management… Just as bad as the server. I explained that the noodles came out 15min after the crawfish and were not suitable for my child along with the waitresses comments and she apologized and offered a discount. SHE GAVE MY $ 100 TAB A $ 1.48 DISCOUNT!!!
I WILL NEVER GO AGAIN.

We’ve been to Hank’s twice this season for crawfish. I was hesitant because of the terrible reviews. To sum up both visits, the crawfish were really good… the spiciest I’ve had yet! We even went on a crawfish crawl one weekend and all the other restaurants weren’t nearly as spicy as their New Orleans spicy. My hands burned for about 24 hours. It was worth it.
But both times, we had poor service. The first time, they were so short staffed, the mgr had to take care of us and he was in the weeds.
We witnessed staff members being rude to other staff members. That was unprofessional. And we got the best/​friendliest/​most attentive service from the busser named Leroy on our visit last week. The wait staff should take a lesson on customer service from him.

Food is good but the service is rude. Especially the gay girl manager. She needs to step her attitude up. …

Cajun beer is delicious! We order Dos XX with it and it comes w shrimp and crawfish inside! Steamed crab legs, steamed jumbo shrimp, and boudin balls are the best! All in all, I love this place whenever I’m in the mood for Cajun/​creole seafood.
