Came here with a groupon for a family dinner. Pretty typical of a Chinatown restaurant with the live fish tanks, pictures of food on walls, all the way down to the red checkered tabletop. Prices had recently increased, and not all the menus were updated with the new prices. We ordered the seafood clay pot, tilapia, mongolian beef, and chinese broccoli. I enjoyed the clay pot best! Service was decent.

Should have read reviews before buying Groupon. Our family of 4 went for dinner, around 6pm. We were the only customers in the place & service was extremely slow. Food didn’t come out together. We had seafood dish on table for at least 7−10mins before the next dish came out. Ordered 4 dishes– all were overpriced & below average. Fried rice was not too different than steamed rice. $ 16 Seafood dish was small & bland. Fried tofu was super salty. Cashier/owner added $ 8.12 tip to bill! Never had that happen with less than 5 – 6 in group! We will definitely not be back! Total waste of time & money!

My family had dinner there last week for the first and last time. We ordered the set dinner for 4 where it includes daily soup, fried lobsters w/scallions & ginger, salted toasted pork chops, sauteed seasonal veggies and deep fried sole fish. Soup was watered down. We requested the lobsters to be stir-fried instead of deep fried. How disappointing that they were heavily breaded, deep fried and loaded w/sodium. Veggies was alright. It was porkchops but more like spare-ribs. They were small pieces with lots of bones. Then there came the fish with just the head, bones and tail. All of the fish meat were missing. We asked the waitress why the fish meat were missing and her reply was Vietnamese loved the crispy deep fried bones. We are not Vietnamese and the menu is definitely mis-leading. In addition, the waitress said we can order another dish for $ 13 if we wanted fish meat. NO, thank you! We will not be returning ever!

One of the WORST Cantonese restaurants I’ve ever been to. Why? The food is either one of two things. Too bland or soaked in sodium. My family of four went for dinner and here’s what we got: — Salted fried fish and chicken fried rice — General Tso’s chicken — Stir fry lobster w/ginger — seafood and tofu stone bowl Each dish was as disappointing as the next. The fried rice was a pale, yellow, pasty color and virtually FLAVORLESS even though claimed it to be otherwise. The General Tso’s is a popular dish because of its simplicity. How did this place manage to screw it up? Hell if I knew. Not only did the chicken tasted off, the sauce they used was something you would find in frozen dinners. Artificial with a zinc-like flavor. The other two dishes? Need I say more at this point? Overpriced and humiliatingly sad. My family and I left with very sad and full stomachs(we tried to eat most of it. Wasting a big no-no, you guys!) Pleas take my word for it and don’t ever come here. Put your hard earned money to delicious use elsewhere.

I have been there couple times since they changed owner, and some of my friends also said that foods are tasting good too. Recommend you guys to come and try!

So sad, this place changed owners and good quality is sadly downhill. We came for dim sum today, to find out the place has changed owners and no longer with dim sum. We should have left then, but we decided to stay and try it out. We had the fish off the lunch menu and lobster deal for 16.88. Wow what a price… Come to find out the lobster meat taste bad… The lobster is not fresh. It is from a dead lobster. Now I understand why they can do it for a cheaper price, it is not fresh and the lobster tank is dirty water without lobsters. We didn’t eat it. Told the waitress but she didn’t do anything. Don’t go here for dim sum and don’t come here for lobster.

Came in on a weekday 130 pm for lunch dim sum. Did not offer the regular menu, when asked, was told the chef on vacation. Huh? Food itself was good freshly made dim sim item. The per dish cost just a tid high, but the quality is good. Seevice not the best, but plenty of attention. Waitress sat down often guess because of lack of business. With the nearby restaurants w 4 stars but quality no where near this one, i am pushing my 3.5 star to 4.0 star merely due to tasty food. Also they r not stingy like other restaurants who do not turn on air vond. The dining room is comfortable. If u never been come try once. I think u will enjoy their food.

I was running around in the area, so I decided to pick up some dim sums and seafood pan fried noodle for dinner. For dim sums, I had shui mai, pan fried radish cake, pork chaun fan, and fried sweet red bean ball. The dim sums were good, on par with Chinatown dim dim houses. The pan fried noodle dish was just ok. The sauce was too thin and not enough oyster sauce for seasoning. A little more vegetables be nice too. The noodle itself was not crispy enough. The service was excellent. The manager gave me free hot tea and iced water while I waited for my to go order. We talked about our kids in between her works. Three and half stars for food, five star for service.

This place has one of the best dim sum in Texas! I was told about this gem by an Asian friend who lives in the area and knew about them. I drive an 45 minutes from Katy just to eat their dim sum and pastry! It is a true hidden gem.

I went here with family for dim sum. We must have ordered a dozen different different dishes and I thought it was all quite good. We had three different employees doting on us, refilling our tea and making sure we were in good shape. All in all I was very happy with the meal and am looking forward to going back again.

My wife and I went for Sunday lunch. Instead of the usual dim sum, we had a la carte. In reading the reviews, we were a little hesitant due to comments on slow service. I confirm that service is slow. But it is Sunday and I endorse the slow food movement. Hey, slow us fine by me. Had kungpao chicken and that quintessential Chinese bitter melon with beef(acquired taste) and crispy pan fried noodles(the best). The KP chicken missed it. Overall a middle of the road experience.

The food was just meh. The service was the worst I ever experienced in my life. They sat us, a group of four at a table for two. There wasn’t even enough room for the dim sum we ordered. When we tried to switch tables which one of servers was ok with it then another waitress literally threw a fit. We complained we couldn’t even fit the food on our table and they had also after our arrival seated a party of 3 at a table for 6, mind you. Why does a party of 4 her stuck at a table for 2? Additionally they had accused us with messing with the dim sum order sheet; there were 2 or 3 waitresses/waiter marking the sheet, and they one of them must’ve marked it differently. Got into an argument with the older waitress. At that point, fed up with being treated terribly, stopped eating, got everything packed up, paid and left the restaurant. $ 40+ for 9 dim sum dishes not cheap either; felt cheated all things considered. Never never never going back.

I was very surprised with the quality of dim sum here. It is very good. I am comparing this to all day dim sum and golden dim sum on bellaire.

We haven’t been here for a while but they recently changed owners. The restaurant’s English name remains the same but the Chinese name has been changed to 澳門點心街(Macau Dim Sum Street). When we went there it looks like the restaurant was run by the owner, her elderly mother and another waitress. They were all very friendly and attentive but the owner and her elderly mother may invade your private space and point really close to the dishes when they talk to you. I just chalk it up to cultural differences. Taste wise, the dim sum dishes were decent, however, nothing really stood out. They definitely don’t look nearly as refined as our favorite dim sum places in Houston though.

I heard this place started serving dim sum a la carte in the mornings so I went to check it out… Sad to report I am not a fan but I guess when will I ever be a fan of Houston’s dim sum scene. Key highlights from my experience: — Had my winter jacket on the entire time while eating because they didn’t turn on the heat!!! When asked, they said yes it’s on! WTF my hands are still cold while writing this review. I can only imagine what happens during the summer months — no A/C? — Check out my photo of the sriracha bottle. LOL. Do I need to say more? Luckily I don’t use sriracha since my spicy tolerance is sad. My table did comment on the bottle to the staff and they immediately cleaned and returned it but they should probably develop a habit of wiping them all down nightly for sanitary purposes. — The only thing that stood out about their typical dim sum dishes was BLAND! Heh. If you are looking for low sodium AND bland dim sum you’ll hit the jackpot here. — As for pricing it appeared to be on par with the other places in Chinatown.
