Green Planet Sanctuary

Green Planet Sanctuary is a center for green living and is a peaceful, serene escape from the concrete jungle we call home. Ironically (or appropriately), it is located in the heart of the Energy Corridor. It is nestled behind an auto body shop on Briar Forest just west of Eldridge. While it is not the easiest to find, trust me you will be surprised by the secret garden that surrounds the center. With a new surprise around every corner, the facility boasts beautiful trees, flowers, and fountains. (The owner, Cathy, also owns a prestigious landscape architecture firm and GPS is truly a showcase of her talents.)
The center offers a variety of workshops and services. I have gone for a few facials and classes on how to create organic «lotions and potions.» Kelly is my esthetician and I see her regularly for some skin therapy. She even has her own skincare line of all organic products. It is my favorite! Light on your skin but gets the job done… plus it comes in this cute hand folded newspaper bag. Way to use recycled products! Kelly is also a walking billboard for GPS and always keeps me informed on the latest events they have scheduled. (You can also check the calendar on their website– they are great about keeping it updated!)
In addition to Kelly’s wonder facials, peels and products, GPS has professional massage therapists, yoga instructors, and gardening gurus on site! Their yoga studio is beautiful in its simplicity. Great prices too.
I know every once in a while they host an open house where you can come sip organic wine coolers or tea and tour the facility. They have live music to help everyone relax and unwind. I know they have one coming up… expect to see me there!
Random fact: For my dad’s birthday, we got him a class from GPS to make Adirondack chairs. He is so proud of himself!

Green Planet Sanctuary is like no other, you can take classes, get an organic facial, an amazing massage, have an energy healing session and more… The owner also runs her Texas Garden Dreams business from their so the grounds are very green and peaceful. They host a variety of events and workshops check it out.
